Kindle is going to need microfracture surgery and will likely not play his first year in the NFL, that is why he is dropping like a rock.
Also, I completely forgot about Dunlap. I cannot believe he is actually there in the 2nd. So much talent, there is middle first round talent in the 2nd round.

I agree... that is why, in my opinion, the QB position is unique...
In the 2nd or 3rd round if you can get an above average safety or RB or pass rusher that can contribute for a long time even if they are never great.. that's not a bad return... but what good is an above average QB unless you need a backup? I want a great QB... if you think McCoy or Clausen can be great, go get them, if you think they can be "servicable" or "average" go get somebody else.

This is exactly what I am hearing, I am just being carefull as I have not seen it in print. Word is he will drop out of the 2nd and may last until saturday. I would have him on saturday for sure and stash him on the PUP. He is a beast, but has been hurt a bunch.....all ankle stuff, his knees are good as far as I know. Would be worth the gamble in the 5th.

But if Mays is there in the 3rd round (I don't think he will be) then take him. He definitely has talent, just needs to sit for a year to learn how to play football.

Ultimately, even if the Bills aren't inclined to trade up, the Rams are going to have some very good offers from teams that are -- probably offers good enough that when the 33rd pick is announced, it won't belong to the Rams.

I think Lamarr Houston is better suited for a 4-3 scheme. He is a get up-field DT. Good player, but I don't think he will fit our gap controlled D. JMO

The Buffalo Bills and Cleveland Browns have contacted the St. Louis Rams about trading for the No. 33 pick in the NFL draft, a league source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Both teams want to draft a quarterback, and the Rams have the opening pick of Friday night's second round, with Notre Dame's Jimmy Clausen and Texas' Colt McCoy still available.
Other teams also are expected to bid for St. Louis' pick.
The Rams had the No. 1 pick Thursday and used it to select quarterback Sam Bradford of Oklahoma.
After trading down twice, the Denver Broncos took Tim Tebow with the 25th pick, the only other quarterback selected in the first round.
Clausen was still recovering earlier this month when he worked out for prospective NFL teams, three months after surgery to repair torn tendons in his right foot.
Clausen said he wanted to be able to show he could drive the ball, adding his toe felt fine but the top of his ankle was weak after being in a boot for eight weeks.
McCoy's shoulder injury from January's national title game was declared 100-percent healed in early March, several weeks before he worked out for NFL teams. He did not need surgery, just time to rest and rehab.

I think it's far more simple for the FO than us at this point Clay!  If they feel McCoy is "the guy", then they'll take him. If not, a lot of people fell. So if they're "not sold" on McCoy they have a lot of roads they could travel down IMO Safford OT Kindle LB Cody NT Actually I had Kindle projected as the #32 pick, so to me, he really hasn't "fallen" per say. He should not be a top 2nd round pick if he will not help this team immediately.

Why are you "so sure" the Bills want Claussen over McCoy? I must agree at this point Claussen would seem to be a better fit for their system and McCoy would be a better fit for ours IMO
But maybe, just maybe the Bills have McCoy ranked above Claussen? I have had him rated higher than Claussen since the very beginning.
If the rumors are true and the Browns are trying to move up to the #1 overall pick in round 2, it sure doesn't sound like they think the Bills want Claussen does it?

Yeah, I was talking to a friend while making that post. Once I finaly got around to posting it I found out about Kindle.

Don't be surprised if we aren't trading up for Claussen instead of McCoy.
The only thing I know for sure is we will take one of them, and might have to trade up to do it. For those not wanting a QB.........sorry about your luck...lol, because we are drafting one in about 5 Hrs.

It wouldn't shock me if they moved up and took Claussen instead of McCoy, but it would surprise me. (yes, there is a subtle difference lol)
I really don't feel Claussen has the "it" factor and McCoy has better decision making overall. He can buy you more time in the pocket and is a much better fit in the WCO.
So yes, it would surprise me.

Actually McCoy fits their system better than Clausen.
Chan Gailey loves mobile QB's (Kordell Stewart, Fiedler, and Reggie Ball at Georgia Tech) and tried to trade up and get Tebow last night.

SOOOOOO much talent available at our pick. But I guess if they think McCoy is "The Man" I wouldn't mind giving up a third to swap with St. Louis to make sure we get him. If you're convinced, that's a small price to pay.

The question here isn't if you think McCoy or Clausen are going to be good QB's, it's will they be impact players for you?
In my mind, I cannot see either of these QB's being the one to lead a team to a Super Bowl.

The Browns don't want Colt Mccoy, Jimmy Claussen, or Tim Tebow, they already passed on all of them in favor of Joe Haden.
Today many of you may agree that you would not trade Joe Haden straight up for Tim Tebow, or Colt Mccoy, or ahem,
but what about a year from now, or two years?
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I gotta say, I was not enamored by any of the QB's, but I just watched Gruden with Colt McCoy and I really like that kid! He's tough on himself , pretty smart and funny. Dude is a tough little Texas cuss!
