Yesterday I had my left rotator cuff repaired, despite the pain killers it still hurts. I dont know how I tore it, I woke up in the middle of the night screaming in pain. I start rehab therapy starting next week. In the meantime I'll be laid up for the next few weeks.
A special thanks to my loving wife, who is taking care of me.
P.S. Don't ask how I smashed the coffee pot this morning.

Good luck with your recovery.

You will probably hate your physical therapist ...... but do everything they tell you to do so you can get as close to full range back as possible.

Micah 6:8; He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.

Yes the OT or PT people can be mean and theyll work you to death but they have to in order for you to heal rigtht.

I always looked at them like my old strength and conditioning coach from Junior Hockey....can be a mean SOB but he means well

Best of luck on the rehab and recovery!

My uncle had it done about 7-8 months ago. His pain was not much, and the recovery went very well. You'll be fine, and do fine.

I just hated my PT because, on my first day of therapy, she had me lay on my back with my arms at my sides, a 1 pound weight in hand .... and told me to bring the weight up in a semi-arc motion to up by my head.

1 freakin pound weight.

1 pound.

16 lousy ounces.

I did it exactly 10 times ..... and it hurt like hell every day time. I swear that she switched the 1 pound weight for a 300 pound one .... at least that's what it felt like.

Then she says that we're moving on to the next exercise ... but that the next day we're doing 20.

She hurt me so much that I didn't know if I loved her or hated her.

Good luck with rehab- just don't do anything stupid that could set you back. Some people are stubborn.

I tore mine carrying shingles up on a roof. The thing I recomend is rehab. I thought it was something I could do myself and didn't go until it was almost to late. Do your rehab and then some. I have a feeling the I ndians will be looking for pitchers that will work cheap soon.

Sorry to hear this 62.

Hope the pain decreases and the rehab helps make you good as new.

Intoducing for The Cleveland Browns, Quarterback Deshawn "The Predator" Watson. He will also be the one to choose your next head coach.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I just had mt 1st PT yesterday. It consisted of elbow and wrist flexes, and some neck stretching. The physical therapist, measured the range of motion of my good arm against the left arm, here's to 5 more weeks of the sling.

62...good luck with the therapy...it is a long, slow progression to get back to your normal condition.

I had a rotator cuff surgery back in 1992 and I can relate to what you are going through. For me, it took "years" before I was able to fully recover.
