Well we were talking about the Irish and Italian American clubs I've never been excluded from either and I'm neither Irish nor Italian.

I understand your point.. but what if you were black and tried to get into an Irish or Italian club.... do you think they might have a problem with that? Just asking because I know some that would and some that wouldn't.

There are plenty of black Irishmen. Some are actually African-Irish and others are simply of darker complexion due to the large number of Spaniards who stayed in Ireland after the defeat of the Spanish Armada in 1588.
These folks are generally with black hair and dark eyes with just a slightly darker skin color...Colin Farrell is one who comes to mind immediately. The are referred to as "black Irish"! Class dismissed

The "Black Irish" tradition has many roots. They are considered to be the shipwrecked Spainiards, or Phoenicians that settled in Ireland, or possibly even a lost tribe from Israel. Genetics have shown that the original Irish were from the Iberian penninsula. They migrated to the British Isles shortly after the last Ice Age. They were slowly pushed into Ireland when there were incursions of Germanic, Celtic, and Gaulish tribes from Central Europe. Black Irish are the peoples born with black hair and dark eyes. They tend to be pale like the rest of the Irish. The Germans, Celts, and Gauls are the people that brought blue and green eyes, and lighter colored hair to Ireland. The Black Irish continued to migrate west through the islands, and are genetic unique amongst Europeans.
