Cowboys board was accidently shown in some video tapes and I guess some guy went through it and wrote it down...

If you go to the link and enlarge the picture, it shows that Dallas had us taking McClain with the 7th pick and Oakland taking Haden with the 8th pick

Did I read that correctly?

After looking @ the boys board..........I'm glad I'm not a Cowboys fan.

round 1 (14th) Sean Lee

round 2 (12th) Ryan Mattews
(9th) covered (Ward?)

round 3 (2nd) Anthony Davis
(18th) Rodger Saffold

round 4 (9th) Torrell Troup (19th) Ben Tate

Jared Veldheer round 6

And all on their 7th round prospects went 3 rounds earler in the 4th.

They were obviously not very heigh on OT's out of the 1st tier.

It just goes to show you that just because the ESPN and NFL network have their board listed dosent meen that all 32 teams have the same. Its not even close!

Every team has there scouts that help set up there boards.....if they didn't...they could just sit at home and let ESPN make the picks.

If Sean Lee's agent is smart, they will have a copy of this image handy when contract negotiations begin.

There are some sites that get tidbits of info..but it's not enough..hat is true is that most teams after they are set rarley change..it's the draftb sites that changed based on the misinfo that teams leak out.

Never seen one. This was interesting. Wonder if Kiper got one. Amazingly complex process. Especially bottom fishing in the late rounds. Sorry those were illegible or whatever. Kewl post!

The way I look at it and think it works..

Dallas has the players written down in order of who they would take. Its their BPA list. They then write down who takes the players as the draft progresses.

Thats why the selections are out of order.

I agree....or they simply remove the name from the list....the order shown is how they would rank and take players....in this example they would have taken McClain before they took Haden.

If
( the Cowboys hadn't traded away their 3rd round pick to the Pats to move up 3 spots in the first for Dez Bryant)
Then
They could have gotten Bowman 1 pick before San Francisco in the 3rd.

Getting 3 players in their top 23 with their first 3 picks.

I bet they moved up because they thought someone would take Bryant, but how great would it have been for them if that wasn't necessary.

I like this board for the most part...esp. Lee as a 1st rounder and Davis and Saffold as 3rd rounders

Some other observations:

1. This is a need heavy board...most teams do this...we did too overdrafting Ward and Lauvao...I still don't get why teams do this...

2. I liked Lauvao as a potential allround OL, 6th OL/fringe starter but DAL had some guys ahead of him too, that I liked a lot more there: M.Johnson, Ghee, Wooton

True, but I was suprised to see how badly they missed on where and what round they thought certain prospects would be avalible.

It should go without saying that all of the above prospects on their board fit their BPA.
