i would consider moving mo williams to the bench, starting delonte, leaving parker as is (he actually made a few plays yesterday) and starting shaq but having the finger on the jj trigger.
Starting West would help contain Rondo, I would go further and start AV to play KG. I also like the combo of Jamison and Z pulling their bigs out, and letting James run the offense from the post, although Jamison on KG seems to = easy points for KG.
This team should be able to run regardless of who is playing, because James is so fast and such a good distributor. Mo and Delonte should spend a couple minutes watching Steve Nash in the half second or so when he knows Los Suns are getting the board. The NBA shootaround guys did a nice job of illustrating it.
People are talking a lot of trash all over the place, everyone seems to have forgotten that the Cavs just put an historic beat down on the C's in their house just a couple days ago themselves. When this series goes back to Cleveland I hope you guys going are more loud and supportive than apprehensive.
JMHO and go Cavs!

if the cavs are gonna run, they have to get stops. and mo is great on the run. he makes the good pass, he can hit 3's in transition. but if you don't get stops you don't run.
and right now, he's just not getting it done. i think starting delonte helps the guys in the starting lineup, but also helps mo. instead of having all those responsibilities. he can come off the bench and give you a spark, the mindset is completely different.

In 1920, the Indians won the World Series in Game 7 at League Park in Cleveland. The funny thing is they won the series 5 games to 2 ... it was a best of 9. http://www.baseball-reference.com/postseason/1920_WS.shtmlMaybe we could get GMdawg to tell us how that felt ...

and if it does go back to cleveland for a game 7, i want a good crowd. i don't want people to sit down. be loud. stop chanting boston sucks or soemone sucks and come up with something snappy.
be loud, make yourselves heard. when lebron gets to the line, maybe stop with the mvp chant and go with a "we want lebron, we want lebron" chant.

Yea, the idea probably wasn't clear, but with a DW/AP/LBJ/AV/Shaq lineup you have your best defensive group, and the best rebounding group. I was just saying that even though you are playing 2 centers these guys should be able to break. The weakness of it is that you are gonna have to rely on Shaq to make some plays for it to work in the half court. I think it could do some good things.
I agree that Mo has earned a spot on the bench for at least this game.

and tonight's starting line-up: Delonte West Jamario Moon LeBron James JJ Hickson Anderson Varejao or that should be the first sub-lineup at the 4 minute mark left in the 1st quarter (after Shaq gets all of Boston's big men in foul trouble so when we run they can't just knock people to the floor) How does Boston counter that lineup? Garnett, Davis, Perkins and 'Sheed can't keep up with the big men.....Pierce hasn't been playing good D on LeBron (mostly help D has been causing 'Bron issues).....Rondo gets covered by Moon....and Ray Allen gets chased by Hot Sauce. The only counter Boston has is to throw one of their big men to the bench and play Garnett at Center, Pierce at PF, and Tony Allen as an extra athletic guy, but then they have noone to guard LeBron except Ray Allen (not the best strategy). all of the above is assuming that we actually play like we care tonight.

I don't know man. I think we're getting ahead of ourselves here - talking about game 7.
It is going to take one of two things to get this series to game 7: 1. Help from the Refs, or 2. Unbiased officiating and a heroic effort from Lebron and Jamison.
- Boston is going to come out fast and intense. We have to stop them early, and Lebron and Jamison have to get hot like they did in game 3.
Having wrote that, I have to admit that I think this game gets away from us the same way game 5 did. - Lets be real man. - The table is set for a disaster. - Team chemistry has been questioned, management has been questioned, coaching has been questioned, character of our players has been questioned, effort has been questioned. Our owner is speaking against the team, local and national media are speaking against the team, our own fans are booing the team (rightly so).
Honesty, I don't want to believe it, and I hate to admit it, but what we are seeing right now was a "worst case scenario" a month ago. I can't believe it, but this could not have turned out any worse for us. - Losing to another Boston team, enduring our worst playoff loss in franchise history, disinterest from Lebron, fans booing, owner pouting, - I mean, think about it, this could not have turned out any worse.
This really, really, sucks. I just want it to be over so I can move on to something else.

In 1992 we hosted game 7 of the Eastern Conference Semi's against Boston at the Coliseum... I was literally in the top row of the building with my Dad..
We won the game.. It was Larry Bird's last NBA game..

So this team will either rally around each other and produce or they will collapse... I don't see much of a happy middle ground here.
But don't go into this expecting the refs to play a big role. I think the officiating to date has been decent.

And both of them have deserved a fair amount of it. I could guard Rondo as well as Mo Williams has guarded him

J/C..
Figured some of you guys would get a laugh out of this.. My buddy who works for the Cavs sent this over to me.. LB Prayer that is going around..
Our Lebron who art from Akron, Hallowed by thy James. The King has come. To get it done. In Cleveland as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our game 6 win, and forgive us our airballs,as we forgive those who bounce pass against us, and lead us not to question, but deliver us a game 7. For thy Q is our kingdom. Amen
I heart winning

14-7. Glad Brown called that timeout. We gotta regroup. Boston looks sharp. - Kevin Garnett doesn't miss.

How many freaking times is the ball going to slip out of Mo Williams freaking hands.
Delonte West whips the ball out of bounds
Mike Brown needs to keep calling time outs until we get on the same page.

At least Mo is TRYING to make something happen, and not standing around watching like the rest of our team seems to be doing....

Looks like Lebron spent his wad on that first dunk 30 seconds in, because he's played like crap since. 2-7 FG, 1-2 FT, 3 TOs. He keeps that up and this game is done by halftime.
Edit: make that 4 TOs.

All the interior bounce passes to the big men are driving me nuts this series. You just can't expect a guy that's 6'11 to catch a ball at his knees.

We don't look sharp at all.
- Throwing the ball out of bounds.
- Can't handle the ball while dribbling.
- We need to straighten up now!
- Defense has been pretty good and is keeping us in the game.
- We need Lebron and Jamison to get hot.

Nah the defense has been horrible. Cs are getting wide open looks or an empty lane to drive in, and then we commit stupid fouls on top of it.
Cs just put up 8 points in less than 90 seconds. This is just stupid.

Seriously. Standing around the perimeter until 5 left on the shot clock isn't working. How about we try something different?

This team looks like they have never played together before. We have no offensive concept or strategy. We don't know where the ball is supposed to go.
What the hell is this?

Last thing we need is our 7'3 backup center throwing behind the back bounce passes into traffic.
TO #5 for Lebron.

It bounced twice also before it was caught
Maybe that's a good omen for tonight with us getting a And 1 off that.

It seems like the defensive intensity picks up when Mo is scoring too, not explainable, just odd.
Edit- And the Celtics get a lane violation called? Ok we have to win this game now as the refs have been allowing both teams to get away with it all series.

Mo is the sole reason we're still in this.
If I see Tony Allen get to the cup uncontested one more time I think I'm gonna throw up.

you guys knew it was gonna go like this.
24 minutes. throw out all the cliches. lebron's gotta come alive, mo's gotta keep this up, and when we get stops, you must run run run
this is no longer cavs versus the celtics, this is cavs versus the rest of the world

Not a real clean first half but the Cavs are definitely still in it. They need to avoid that early 3rd quarter meltdown.
I still hate our offense, our high screens NEVER result in anybody getting open.. in fact they seem to serve no purpose at all because the screens are soft and LeBron is the only guy that ever actually comes off the screen with any authority..
Oh well, the intensity is there and this could go right to the end...

The thing I hate about confidence guys like MO is it's always too little too late. I said he needed to stop deferring to LeBron. He has, and he has obviously said I'm going to play my ass off and be aggressive and I don't care about anything else.
If he would have played like this the whole series, the Cavs might be getting ready for Orlando.
That, to me, is the most frustrating part about guys who's confidence comes and goes.
Now, if the Cavs can pull this out, they need to remember that they have to play this EXACT same way in Game 7.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...
