When they say Cleveland's finest, why did they have to include Big Dawg and Dawg Pound Mike in the mix? Just how much of a fee did they have to pay them to uh, "sing"? I don't think they would have done it for free, given their past. They permeate pathetic. Cleveland's finest? I don't think so.

I've let it go at this point. If he stays or goes, the city has to wrap their heads around the notion that on July 2nd the sun is going to rise and set regardless. Granted I live in New York and for folks here it's a forgone conclusion he's gone from Cleveland (though they're not confident he's a Knick or Net) but I tend to agree, I think he's gone. I'm not for sure but that last series sure looked like his bags were packed... especially that last minute of game 6, just standing there as the seconds ticked off.
We have to stop thinking of the fact that we've won no championships as a sort of failure, rather, it's an unblemished record of consistency!

Let me guess the guy who signed Jordan to his first shoe deal is also friends with LeBron and reported on his twitter account that LeBron is going to Chicago? Already saw it.
Yeah I forgot he called it that What is that, Waite Hill I think? Awesome place, do you know whos house that was before he bought it? someone said it was Art Modells.

No idea who lived there before. I've just seen his YouTube channel where it makes many references to "Misnyland".
I still don't know what to think about him leaving. His job in Cleveland is unfinished. However, unless Cleveland can land Bosh somehow, I don't really see Cleveland being a contender. The team as it is constructed right now is a contender with the right superstar ... just not LeBron. LeBron is good enough that he could have destroyed the Celtics will. He just doesn't have it in him mentally.
So is it really all that bad if he leaves? You go from perennially being bounced in the playoffs to never making the playoffs. One builds excitement only to be letdown ... the other creates apathy. Is one worse than the other? I don't know. As a fan, which is preferable?
The only way LeBron stays is if they can land a legit All-Star front court player. I believe that's going to be tough. Plus, I already commented on how the media has given him an out by not holding him accountable.
I found a couple of the quotes in this article rather alarming. I really think he lacks a true winner's mentality. I have no doubt he'll get a championship or a few championships but it will be because of a sam casell-type player on his team who can rise when the stakes are the highest and help carry LeBron at the most crucial of times.
James rolled over as soon as the Celtics proposed a legit shot at beating them. Never even tried to fight back. The team followed suit. Yet in this article he talks about leadership.
Quote: While a dark cloud hung over all of Cleveland today, LeBron Jamescalmly embarked on another day of practice with his teammates.
When asked by reporters why he was so carefree after an embarrassing 32 point defeat at the hands of the Boston Celtics, James grinned.
“They got me.”
The King confidently spoke to reporters after coming off one of the worst losses of his career. He shot a pedestrian 3 for 14 from the field, and stood around in a spectator-like funk as his team got blown out 120-88 Tuesday night.
His Cleveland Cavaliers now trail the best-of-seven series 2-3.
After the humiliating defeat, the media went wild. James’ lackadaisical play in particular drew the ire of the Cleveland forward’s fans and detractors alike.
“I spoil a lot of people with my play.”
James does generally spoil observers with his play, but he managed to sidestep that landmine last night when his team suffered their worst loss in playoff history.
To make matters worse, Cavaliers fans are now left to wonder whether they will ever see James as a member of their team again. The two-time MVP can leave Cleveland as a free agent on July 1.
The off season is the furthest thing from James’ mind, though.
“It’s win or go home at this point,” he said. “All these guys understand what’s at stake and we look forward to it.”
During practice, his mood was jovial. James gave his teammates instructions and directions as they ran plays, and then engaged in a shooting contest before the end of practice. At one point during the friendly competition, he joked that he needed a handicap because of his injured elbow.
James’ lighthearted attitude during practice was a far cry from his body language during Game 5. The usually hyperactive do-it-all man for the Cavs only had four shots in the first half, and didn’t make his first field goal until late in the third quarter.
When asked about if he was disappointed in his play the night before, James shook his head, explaining that it was just an “off” night.
“Me? Personally? Nah, I’m not disappointed. I’m never disappointed in my play. I feel like I could do more, but I’m not disappointed at all…It’s just who I am…I’m not going to show you that I’m angry. If I show a sense of panic, guys follow my lead. If I come over here and panic and say, ‘We lost by 30 and we don’t know what to do.’ That’s not right. It’s not who I am. It’s never been who I am.”
The Cavaliers have been outplayed by the Celtics for the majority of the series.
Cavaliers’ owner, Dan Gilbert, had this to say regarding the James and his team:
“The entire franchise has done everything in its power to put all our players and its coaching staff in the best possible positions to execute when it counts…The last two home playoff losses and the manner in which we lost these game does not come close to being anywhere near the high expectations all of us have of our organization. Our fans and supporters deserve more.”
James heard the criticism loud and clear, but he does not necessarily agree with it.
“I don’t get involved in what owners say,” he said. “That’s how he feels. As players, we go out there and it’s not like we’re not giving a great effort or trying to play hard. It’s not like we go out in a game and say, ‘Let’s not play hard for the fans.’ When you lose bad like that, we hurt just as much as they hurt. But as professionals, we’ve just got to play a little better.”
The Cavs now have to travel to Boston for Game 6, but the idea of winning on the road doesn’t faze James. He scored 38 points in Boston for Cleveland’s dominating Game 3 victory just a week ago.
“I just need to play well,” he said. “It’s not just me. It’s everyone. I put a lot of pressure on me, of course. That’s just the type of player I am and that’s how I hold myself accountable…I need one of those games and I look forward to having one.”

I hate to say I told you so but I was right about Mike Brown. LeBron I know you've been a supporter of him but I won't bash you for it. Even though I was constantly bashed for stating how overated Mo Williams is on this board. I was told that I was being "fickle" by Mattack, kingo, LeBron and many others. Well I WAS right to be worried about the team. I don't expect any apologies from you people. So I'm just going to move on from here.
Sign and trade is the only way to improve the team. I personally want CP3 and we have a more likely chance to get him than any other elite or great player.
Here's some ideas I've read:
Chris Bosh:
Cleveland Gets: Chris Bosh: $18 million sign and trade per year max contract Hedo: $9.8 million
Toronto Gets: Antawn Jamison: $13.5 million Daniel Gibson: $4.0 million J.J. Hickson: $1.5 million Zydrunas Ilgauskas: $7 million sign and trade Future First Round Draft Pick
Joe Johnson
Cleveland gets: Joe Johnson: $14 million sign and trade Zaza Pachulia: $4.2 million through 2012/2013
Atlanta gets: Antawn Jamison: $13.5 million through 2011/2012 Delonte West: $4.6 million expiring contract Future First round pick
Andre Igoudala
Cleveland Gets: Iguoadala: $12.3 million Elton Brand: $15.9 million
Philadelphia Gets: Antawn Jamison: $13.5 million Delonte West: $4.6 million Sebastian Telfair: $2.7 million Zydrunas Ilgauskas: $6 million one year sign and trade
Chris Paul
Cleveland Gets: Chris Paul: $14.9 million Emeka Okafor: $11.5 million
New Orleans Gets: J.J. Hickson: $1.5 million Antawn Jamison: $13.5 million Zydrunas Ilgauskas: $ 6 million sign and trade one year Delonte West: $ 4.6 million expiring Future First Round Pick
In you scenarios I like the Bosh deal and CP3 deal. I think the Bosh deal would make the team better overall. I think the Cavs are in a tough position.
The ONLY way they can both play together is if LeBron agrees to let Paul run the offense and play without the ball in his hands most of the time. If that happens, then look out.
And it has to be that way, LeBron would have to give up handling the ball and running the offense, not Chris Paul. LeBron would be a monster playing along side Paul, not the other way around.
If somebody knows how to link the video directly, please do so.
Glad you like it. One of my cousins helped direct/produce it. She's also in it. I'm not sure her level of involvement in it as she didn't get into a bunch of detail with the family about it yet.
I actually love the igoudala idea. We need a lockdown defender on the peremiter other than James. Plus brand still has some left to give us a low post option. We probably need to give up hikson. I know philly didn't want to give up andre to the suns in the amare deal, so probably a longshot at best.

The only regret I have right now is unblocking you to read your post expecting something intelligent. Won't be making that mistake again.

I WAS right Mike Brown and Mo Williams are garbage. Ask any NON-Cavs fan that's not a friend of yours. Just read other teams message boards and they were actually laughing at Mo Williams play.
We've won over 120 regular season games over the last two years. - Only team in the history of the NBA to win this many games in this amount of time and not win a title. - Of course....

Quote: I gotta give the Celtics some credit they look unreal against the Magic.
I think the Celtics will win it all this year. It took an entire season, but they are back to the championship form they had two years ago. And Kobe will actually have someone to defend. Celtics in 6 over Lakers.

I don't know how you can say stuff like this all the time, its like you have the most selective memory of anyone I've ever seen post here. LeBron has done exactly what you said he can't so many times that we expect it from him every time. He didn't deliver once and now its like he's always done that. The game against the Pistons when he scored 28 or 29 straight devastated them so badly that the franchise downward spiraled into rebuilding mode. He almost single handedly put the Washington Wizards into rebuilding mode as well by completely dominating them in the early rounds year in and year out until they became irrelevant. He took a team of guys that featured Sasha Pavlovic in the starting lineup and Damon Jones as our key 6th man to the NBA finals. That buzzer beater in the Orlando series last year that kept us alive a little bit longer was that exact killer instict you say he doesn't have kicking in. He did it this season to the bulls when the team was playing like crap and he stepped up and started draining everything in the 4th quarter.
For some reason he mailed it in against the Celtics and then seemed relatively alright with it. Nobody outside of LeBron James knows what that reason is, and there are a lot of things that you can speculate that make some sense. But to say its because he doesn't have it mentally is probably the most ignorant thing I've ever seen you say, and its a pretty long list.

Quote: Because the other part feels as if we learned something substantial about LeBron James this spring. I always thought his ceiling looked like this: Jordan's DNA crossed with Magic's DNA crossed with Bo Jackson. Nope. Take the Jordan DNA out. Have to. Jordan was a ruthless mother******. Jordan was a killer. Jordan didn't care if his teammates despised him. Jordan never, ever, not in a million years, would have allowed his team to quit in the final two minutes of Thursday night's game the way LeBron did. His teammates feared him, loathed him, revered him and played accordingly. Bird had that same quality. In the second half of his career, so did Magic. Winning meant so much to those guys that their teammates almost didn't have a choice; they had to follow suit. Or else.
LeBron James is 25 years old. He has played seven seasons -- 548 regular-season games and 71 playoff games. There's a feeling that he can still get better and, with better teammates, maybe he could. But fundamentally, to paraphrase Bill Parcells, he is what he is at this point -- a gregarious, larger-than-life, supremely gifted basketball player who's better at making us say "WOW!" than anything else. If he owned that cutthroat Jordan chromosome, or Magic's leadership chromosome, it would have surfaced by now. In Wednesday's column before Game 6, I mentioned how there comes a point in every great player's career when you have to pour the cement, let it harden and see what you have. We poured the cement for LeBron in this series. It hardened last night. We know what we have.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...
It wouldn't be much solace, but if the Celtics win it all at least we'll know they weren't as old and run down as we thought they were before the series started. But out of the teams left I'm really pulling for the Suns. LA, Boston or Orlando winning the title would probably make me sick to my stomach.
"All I know is, as long as I led the Southeastern Conference in scoring, my grades would be fine." - Charles Barkley
There is a different type of pressure when you do something that is not expected and where wins and losses don't matter. Nobody expected him to do what he did in Detroit, and nobody expected them to win that series. And there was no chance in hell that Chicago was beating Cleveland this year. Chicago knew it, Cleveland knew it. There was no pressure at all.
After the first two games of the series against the Celtics, Cleveland realized something: the Celtics could actually beat them. They were a legitimate threat. The pressure got amped up big time. It was the first time they dealt with adversity all season.
And what did their leader do? He led them right to a series loss. Once the team saw LeBron quit, they quit too.
Now I ask you, is that a killer instinct?

It's not my fault you don't want to hear the truth.
By the way, I just read the Bill Simmons' article I referenced a few posts above. Just about five minutes before I posted it. If anyone is familiar with Simmons, he's normally pretty spot on with his takes on things. All the things he said in that article were the exact same things I've been saying.
It doesn't make my opinion any more valid, but I guess you can add Simmons to the ignorant persons list.

If its the truth, stop saying its the truth and give a reason. I gave you several examples of things that happened that backed up my point that you were wrong, so lets see something to support your opinion besides "its true because I say it is."

Your examples didn't prove anything other than LeBron has been clutch on occasion and never when it mattered the most.
Those clutch moments have only gotten him and the team so far. The results are not in line with the talent that he is nor the player he wants to be recognized for.
So I'm not sure how your examples proved that I was wrong, but it's obvious you'll believe what you want to believe.
And for the record, everything I say on here is my opinion unless I'm quoting a stat.

I live in Jersey but work in Manhattan, and I agree. The entire city of NY, hell even most of Jersey, think LeBron is gone.
At this point, I really could care less. I have confidence that if LeBron leaves, with Gilbert around we will still be fine. I think all of the knob stroking that is going on right now is ridiculous. As much as I love LeBron as a player, if he has the balls to turn his back on his hometown for the "hope" of more exposure, more power to him. I will laugh harder than I ever have before when we win a championship without him.

i was a huge mike brown fan. his teams that were lacking in talent outside of lebron took teams with superior talent to the max.
but it really seems as if they stopped listening to him. i think they got tired of his voice.
lebron was hurt, and it's gonna be tough to win when your guy is hurt (especially now that boston looks like worldbeaters after today) but the way this team played as a whole was simply unacceptable, and fair or unfair, the coach is the guy calling the shots, and i do believe it's time to look in a different direction.
i still don't believe the guy is a bottom 10 coach, but he was never in the class of pop, larry brown, phil jackson, jerry sloan, you get my point (as i have always said)
i don't know who is going to coach this team, and if lebron doesn't return, may it even matter, because i am in agreement with just about everyone that if he leaves, you might as well mail it in and start playing the lottery.
i gotta laugh at these bulls fans i've talked to. one, they think that if they had lebron, they'd have the top team in the east (untrue) and two, they think that they are gonna get another max, because cleveland and chicago are gonna sign and trade lebron, and we're gonna take luol deng (sure we are)
if lbj goes to chicago, the magic are a better team, if lbj goes to new york or new jersey, the magic are still a better team.
and i don't know if this is the last stand for the celtics, but right now chicago with lbj couldn't match up against boston, not even close. that team would get destroyed just as we did.
so, while bill simmons says lbj's choice comes down to winning (chicago) loyalty (cleveland) or immortality (new york), he still ain't gettin to the finals next year.
nobody is going to sign and trade luol deng or kirk hinrich. i can see the cavs signing and trading with jj hickson before either of those guys, because of the upside, but the book is out on luol deng, that guy will not consistently show up over the course of the regular season + playoffs.
i still think that lebron is most likely gonna stay, but is going to want some changes.
i think he understands the implications of what could happen to that franchise, a franchise that has bent over backwards for him by the way, if he were to leave, and it goes farther than that. the businesses in and around cleveland, and that arena would be devastated by that loss.
i don't think he leaves us like that. i think winning a chip for the city of cleveland was a goal of us, just like it was to become a billionaire athlete and a worldwide icon, but i'm not as sure about it as i was a week ago.
LeBron would never win a championship under D'antoni. I'm starting to think he's more likely to sign with Miami over any other team besides the Cavs. He would have the best chance to win with them.
the only way I see Lebron winning a title next year with a different team, is that team lands James, and another superstar. Say the knicks get James , and Bosh/Amare/Wade. Same with the Nets. Even as bad as the knicks roster is, if they get 2 superstars, that will be enough for them to contend for a championship. Boston did it with Garnett and Allen in 08. Thta team was awful, with the exception of pierce. Rondo was still a young player at that time. It could be done, but it would take another star joining lebron.
Quote: Sorry, but I don't care how hard he worked. I don't care how good of a guy he is. I want to WIN, and Mike Brown flat out is not a championship caliber coach.
