All I have to say is I hope the Reds can get out of their slump.

This is a Cleveland board michelle, so stop inflaming the Indians fans (although I see the Reds are battling for 1st place).

This isn't a Cleveland board, it's a Cleveland Browns board. And, we do have Reds fans here.

Here's my take on the Reds...they will battle for first for a few weeks then drop like rocks as usual. That being said, they have been fun to watch so far this season.

are you calling the Tribe a slump-buster?

ok, so maybe they are, but I still don't like you calling them names. only Tribe fans can call our team names

LOL...no name calling here -- you guys seem to do that just fine on your own. Just stating the fact that there is a series this weekend.

No, not coming. Jules is still in Wyoming and if I'm going to see the Reds, I'll go to Cincy instead of being in the hostile Cleveland environment.

but you could have an entire section of Reds fans at the ballpark

(you'd be the only Reds fan in the section, but odds are you'd be the ONLY fan in the section )

It was merely a little playful jab at ammo.

Yes, I know there are Reds fans here.
I've been on this board a couple of times over the years.

Couple of quick questions about the Reds, whom I might casually follow if they stay near the top of the NL Central (I never see them live, only highlights. I like the look of their new park on TV, by the way).

I know Votto is leading them in homers, RBI and maybe average, but how's their defence up the middle? And is Leake the real deal?

Defense all around has been great until the last couple days. Errors galore yesterday, and we left a small village of people on base the day before.

Go Reds!

That would be great for the indians confidence if they could win, they definitely need it.

That could be the final score of the game ... with most of the runs coming in the 9th for both teams.

He's got a nice average right now, I was happy to see that for him. I do remember his arm being a lot like Bruce. People were afraid to run on him. I always liked Kearns.

At least I got free food in the club level section and there were fireworks. Still bitter about how pathetic the Tribe looks. This may be the longest summer of my life.

Does anyone else want Santana up here as bad as me, I can't stand Marson anymore, this guy is absolutely pathetic.

Oh this is sad, remember when we had Victor just not that long ago? He was always one of my favs on the team. Meanwhile wth is masterson doing, get him back to the bullpen already. They better not mess up masterson like we know they are capable of doing....

Also anyone know if the game is on TV tonight? I looked on espn, espn2, sto, FSN, and more and couldn't find it, not on TV?

The Saturday night game will not be televised, something about the league is blacking out all local games in oirder to get people to watch their nationally televised game of the week or something like that.

Ditto. I'm just glad we have improved ownership from Carl Linder to Castellini and are getting younger and more skilled it seems. Guys like Griffey and Kearns couldn't stay healthy worth a damn and were old while we also had guys like Dunn, Willy Mo, etc. who can hit a longball but were strikeout kings. Now I see youth and a couple potential STUDS who can hit for average like Votto (beast) and five-tool Jay Bruce. It's becoming THEIR team. That with the young pitching talent we're acquiring and Dusty at the helm makes me feel damn good about the future of this team for the first time in my young fanhood. I was too young to remember much of the 95' playoff team outside of Larkin being a worldbeater and my idol as I grew up (albeit I met him and the guy couldn't have been a bigger ass ).

I am a subscriber to MLB.com....it is blacked out here. I am nowhere close to the Ohio area...it makes no sense...first time I have had this problem and it may be the last!

I could maybe understand this, if the MLB had twenty games a season, but this is BS!

I am going to hang in there, only because I like watching this Reds team, and have no other options, but I have voiced my opinion to some customer rep a little bit ago, who has no control in hell about the situation!

He offered me a 10% discount for any MLB gear that I would like to buy in the future.

I came really close to cancelling....but decided to hold off, as I am paid up until the 25th of June....will see how the team is doing then.

I am glad I did not lay down the money for the entire season.....guess I did not read the SMALL print...anyway GO REDS!

It was all over the league. Apparently there is a rule that fox sports net affiliates can't televise any games when the big daddy is broadcasting one nationally. A lot of fans got screwed over tonight, not just us.

It sucks and we wont be dealing with it every week but we'll have to again another month from now when the Indians visit Cincinnati.
