I know the weather in the C-town area has been crazy...snow up to the butt..freezing rain...just a bitch !! I grew up in Painesville and had my share of cold and snow...sled riding, jumping off the garage into drifts, snow days and just freezing my butt off. It's gonna get cold here in the next coupla days (don't laugh), but we're looking at about 32 degrees for the low tomorrow (believe me...for Cocoa that is COLD).... what I wanna know.... If you had one place to retire to (won the lotto maybe)...where would it be?? I thought that maybe this is the place(hurricanes,tornados...but no snow), but I HATE COLD ! I know there's a few here that live in Fla. and they can verify that after you are here for a year or two that you forget the cold and the blood thins and you forget how really cold 15 degrees is.....
SO....if you could live anywhere.......... ??????

If I could live anywhere I'd probably like to live in Tuscany. I'm hoping to go there next year sometime. It probably gets pretty cool there, but it is one of the most picturesque places on earth. Another place I'd pick would be somewhere like Cozumel or Barbados. Just thinking of these warm places makes me feel colder in Ohio right now. It's ok though, I don't blame you. This one's on Punxatawny Phil. He sits on a throne of lies
Determined Worker Intense Good worker Hard worker Terrific
I often hate Florida.............more-so in the past few years due to the hurricanes..........the humidity has always been pretty bad in the summer!
I sure can not complain about the winter here.............it is the best!
I grew up in Dayton, so I still call it home...........some family are still there and I visit twice a year..........usually in April and October to catch the spring and fall season!
It is sad that often times our occupation keeps us from moving away to a better place!
I lived in California for about seven years while in the Navy and it is very nice there...........both San Diego and San Francisco!
I believe that San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the U.S.
But Babe..........that picture is awesome...........looks like a very sweet place to get away!
chilly 1 degree this morning with wind chill being -16 when I left for work, I really dont mind the cold, and even 1 isnt that cold, just pop on a coat hat 7 gloves and were good,
I need seasons, Spring & summer fishing, Fall & winter deer hunting
I need summer and Fall colors, frost on the pumpkins, sitting in a tree stand as the sun rises over a orange, red, yellow & green woods, listening to the animals come alive....my peace of heaven on earth
Don't recall anyone saying you shouldn't be allowed or that anyone hated you. I think hunters have become quite defensive, thus the "harvesting" talk all the time now.

My little corner of heaven on Earth. Only drawback, if it can be perceived as one, is the on the other side of that building is I-70 and Route 82 (which is how you'd get from Denver to Aspen or Snowmass). But the gorgeous, gorgeous red rock canyons all around. Lovely mountains. 30 minutes to Aspen, 30 minutes to Beavercreek. Very similiar wewather to what we have here in NE Ohio. So I'd get the changing season. Which I would LOVE
Well that steer I harvested 3 weeks ago sure taste good.....alot better than what I been eaten (store bought, steroid stuff) Clay ? how many deer steaks can i get for case of cold ones ??
