I don't like my chances too well. Spain has to play Germany, who I vastly underrated. The scary thing about them, most of their guys will play in the 2014 World Cup as well. That team is loaded with young talent.

villa's netter is a mentor guy? is that through randolph or just a coincidence?

Doubtful it's due to Randy ... just like the Browns, he lets the manager make all the personelle calls. Friedel was one of the best keepers in the league when they got him before last season (granted he's pretty old), so it was more than likely due to what he brought to the team. The common thought is that he was a low cost stop gap, who could do a good short-term job in goal, while helping to train Brad Guzan for a year or two. Even at his age, he's one of the better guys in the league.

I had played against Friedel when he was playing for Bay Village, that pretty old shot is a low blow!! lol

Brad was the Blackburn keeper and a fan favorite prior to playing at Villa, he is also a Browns fan of course.

Congratulations to the last 3!

If Spain make it to the final I am in for a hefty payout after backing a Spain v Holland final during the group stages

Spain to beat the Germans tonight and the Dutch in the final. Although part of me wants a Holland Germany final (as long as Germany dont win!!)

Think of the Netherlands like Cleveland. Smaller market/country. Never won the whole thing, but have been tantalizingly close several times.

And, they are dressed in ORANGE. What is not to love?

(or did you want actual soccer analysis? sorry, i'll leave that to those who know far more than me about this game)

GL no logo. I picked Spain because they're the best team but I won't be upset if Holland wins. This is their 3rd final and they've never won it. This is Spain's first so I kinda want them to "earn" it by having to be in the final more than once. Either way, should be a great game but I do believe Spain will win. Their midfield is just too good.

Great game. I felt that Holland played better but couldn't convert their chances. Spain took advantage and finally broke through. Congrats to the La Furia Roja!

Congrats to Nasty for winning the bracket.

And, wow. what an amazing final. There are boring 1-0 games for sure, but this wasn't one of them (like there boring 1-0 games in baseball and there are exciting ones too).

Both goalkeepers should get some type of prize for how they played today. Especially Holland's keeper. Even the game winner which was point blank he almost was able to punch away (looked like just a little too much spin that kept it moving).
