I'm confused, why did you not post this on a Steelers message board instead?

He has a little crush on you. Remember in school, when a boy liked a girl, he'd punch her or push her down? Same deal.

I'm obviously a Newb here, but how were the Ratfans banned last week for "name calling" yet it's let stand here. Don't get me wrong, the loss of them stopped the steady decline of the IQ level in here but I would like to make sure I know what he guidelines are. THanks in advance.

While it is against the rules ladies

They are just playing, and only said those things in jest.

Me calling you a dirty stool fan is also name calling.

The rule in my interpretation is once the whole conversation turns into....

"You're such a loser, and an idiot, I mean you are so dumb...." while trying to make your point.

And in case you didn't understand what BpG said (most people don't), all you need to know is the following:

No name calling
No masked profanity
No spamming

Those three reasons seem to be the most common for people getting banned.

Clear as mud people...LOL. SO since Ravensfan called someone "Stealer Douche" instead of dirty Steeler fan he got banned. Hmmm....Works for me! I've seen clumping Kitty Litter with more cognitive ability than him.

And remember no matter how hard you try you will break the rules sooner or later,at least that's what it's like for me.

Keep in mind that name calling is not to be used as a last resort when you've been smacked upside the head and don't have a comeback. Name callers, trolls and ghosts will be tossed.

Ghosting is when someone has more than one username. They often have trouble having intelligent discussions, so they respond to themselves under a ghost name; or they will stir crap using a ghost name.

Well, why isn't there different terminology? We're talking about 2 different situations here, aren't we?

It makes sense to me that "ghosting" would defined only as getting banned, and then coming back without the ref's permission. You're being a "ghost" because you "came back from the dead", so to speak.

Whereas if you DON'T get banned, but you make up another username for yourself, I can't see how that would be considered ghosting. After all, you never "died" to begin with. How can you be a ghost if you never died?

HMMMMM.

They have always let people who know each other well and are obviously kidding, as the two above did, to remain. A newbie coming in and calling somebody a douchebag is going to get canned, no doubt about it.

If it's between people who have been on the board for years, do not break rules, and are just joking, it's normally allowed.

It's about common sense, something a Steelers fan might have some trouble with. For you, it's probably all or nothing.
