I'm not saying that Holly is not a good player but I think he still has to prove that he can consistantly cover the NFL's best WR's. The day we are able to consistanty stop the run then our CB's and Safeties will truly be tested. .

j/c:

The Browns do need help at corner, but they have more pressing needs that have to addressed. Despite all the injuries last year, the corners did a pretty good job. I think the Browns have a very good Secondary coach and he did one helluva job last year.

The secondary was hurt by the front sevens inability to rush the passer. Wimbley is the only guy who got pressure and even he was often neutralized. It's sad watching our quarterbacks get pressured before they can even set up and then watching the other team's QB have no one even close to him despite holding the ball longer.

Put pressure on the QB and your secondary looks better.

I think the Browns can get by w/Bodden, Cutch, Holly, and Perry. If there is a cb Savage likes in the mid to late rounds, then grab him. Otherwise, bring in more free agents and hope Minter is ready to compete. I will give Savage credit for finding some guys off the street at cb. With that said.....he really blew it w/Perkins....which I tried to tell you all at the time. Let me guess, no one remembers those arguments? Value.........my ass.

It's time for Savage to fix the OL and DL. Actually it is past time. You can't change history, but you can learn from it. He has not picked a first day o-lineman or d-lineman on day of either of his two drafts. He has fired multiple coaches and his head coach will likely be fired next year. His QB is on the hot seat. Yet, the Browns have the same problems they've had for years.

It's time to fix the trenches. Yes, the Browns probably need a cb, but they need offensive and defensive line help in the worst way. And in my book, those units are more important. I just hope Savage feels the same way, although I am not sure about that.

Ahh Come VERS.,.,,It was you that said that Perkins was a stud wasn't it ?

Just kidding, yeah, I think I do remember you saying that it wasn't a good pick.. Been a long time so I'm not sure it was you, but I think so,,

You know, given what happened at CB last season, Savage did do a decent job of rounding up some guys that may have a chance this season to stick.. we shall see

As for pressing needs, I agree, if we don't get those lines squared away, neither side of the ball is gonna be very good at all,,,,,

i dont really think we need that much help at Cornerback.. like seriously.. the Browns have done well using UDFA's and guys from other teams...
Starting 3 in 07'
Bodden
Holly
Minter

O.k what Kool aid have U been guzzling down?

Bodden IS A PRETTY good CB but is he becoming a injury risk?
Holley...a nickle back not NOT A # 2 corner..
Minter..he hasn't played, we don't know what he has...

I want a starting CB and one to back up Bodden ..

And what have you been drinking? You really think cb is a bigger need than LT, LG, maybe C, RG, RT, RDE, NT, LDE?

Hell, it isn't a bigger need than RB. It may not be as big of a need as QB.

It's time to fix the freaking lines.
