Quote: If LeBron was dancing on the sidelines when it happened, why was he on the free throw line when Joakim Noah was running his mouth?
LeBron was on the court, and got a bucket and a foul, and started dancing.
i'm pretty sure it was when he and danny green were dancing at the bench, but even if i am wrong, who cares? you don't want him to dance which i don't find any different than punching your chest (kg) or a lot of the other antics that stars do, then stop them. and stop crying about it. you will always come off as a baby when you complain about that stuff, right or wrong. i have no problem with it. the nba sells itself on that kinda stuff, just like the nfl does, even though they try and stay out of condoning or not condoning it.
see ladanian tomlinson, a lot of people looked at him differently when he complained about the patriots mocking merriman.
Quote: Everyone outside of Cleveland thinks LeBron is a classless punk.
Evidenced by a Russian billionaire, Pat Reilly, Jerry Reinsdorf, James Dolan, and so many other people making the trek to Cleveland to kiss LBJ's butt?
Oh, that was a good one. Wait...
Hey how did Kentucky fare in the NCAA tourney this year?
Comparing LeBron to what some of the other stars do doesn't make LeBron's actions any less classless. Sure, it shows there are other classless players in the league, but it doesn't mean LeBron isnt.
This isn't earth shattering news or anything however our summer league is coming up soon. Also Christian Eyenga is at LeBrons camp.
Did you guys know we signed Manny Harris? I was shocked that he wasn't drafted. I felt like he could be a marcus thorton or jamal crawford type guy off the bench. Another guy I'm interested in is tasmin mitchell from LSU.
Here's Manny's game against the eventual national champs:
Quote: the dancing thing? he wasn't dancing on the court, he was on the bench behind the baseline hamming it up.
Well even though I think Topdawg is talking out his ass as usual,he is right on this one. Lebron hit the shot, and his momentum took him over by the sideline and he was dancing, hamming it up to the crowd.
Either way Noah was whining because they were getting blown out,the funniest thing though was when Big Z stepped in between them he grabbes Noah by the front of his jersey and kind of shook him a bit.

with maurice clarett, he never played another down after his freshman year, he was yanked out of that university, burned his bridges, and never did another thing in his life, other than load a truck with guns and goose.

bill simmons just made a really good point on twitter too, wade is definitely gonna stay in miami, you don't walk away from 30m when you're going through a divorce. good point.
i think the chicago thing was just trying to get lebron to do something, and lebron called his bluff. people often forget that those guys are pretty fierce rivals on the floor.
bill simmons just made a really good point on twitter too, wade is definitely gonna stay in miami, you don't walk away from 30m when you're going through a divorce. good point.
typical simmons. i think wade stays in Miami for other reasons, but not because of the divorce.
his kids are in Chicago. if he wants 1/2 custody, he needs to be in Chicago. what's more important? an extra $30mil (which just gives his ex-wife an extra $15mil) or being able to see his kids.
can't wait til it's over, but i really think he's gonna stay, it realy seems like that, even some of the national guys are coming around to it. i think the city of cleveland and cavs fans everywhere have done a great job of showing how much he means to them.
and windy has said all along he just doesn't see a situation good enough to pick everything up, stab his home town, home area, and home state, in the back, and go play elsewhere. you go to the bulls, you still aren't the best team in the league, you may not even be better than you would be with the cavs.
i just don't see any situation right now where he'd be an overwhelming favorite for a title.
PG- Hitler SG- Stalin SF- Sadaam Huessein PF- Darth Vader C- Barack Obama
As long as they win
Does anyone remember that "one of these things is not the same, one of these things is different" little show that Bill Cosby used to do with that bumblebee pen?
Was looking at that list and thought.....Darth Vader is a fictional villan .
Windy's been tweeting that the Cavs might sign Mike Miller to the MLE. Peen might be interested because he's a former gator
Another off topic thing, realgm is saying this:
From their 2008 gold medal team, only Chris Paul and Deron Williams may play for Team USA in the World Championships this summer.
LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Dwight Howard, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Carlos Boozer, Tayshaun Prince, Michael Redd and Jason Kidd are all out of the picture for USA Basketball this summer.
"It's a combination of three things, free agency, injuries and having gone hard for a long time,'' Jerrr Colangelo said of 2008 Olympians not playing. "And I'm OK with that.''
Kevin Durant is a lock for the team, but the remainder of the roster is currently in flux
If they don't come I bet it looks something like
CP3/D-Will/Nelson Brandon Roy/Kevin Martin Durant/Granger/Korver(shooter) Aldridge/David Lee/Kevin Love Brook Lopez/Chris Kaman
Pau Gasol won't be playing for Spain. So team USA is still sick. We have 2 studs depth at SF and PG.
I think Bosh ends up in Chi-town or Houston. I don't see him coming to cleveland. He lived in Toronto for 7 years, don't think he wants to play in C-town for 5 years. The guy didn't even visit the cavs, plus he has no ties to the area like Lebron, who himself is pondering leaving.
If push came to shove, I think the bulls would include Noah in the deal. If the bulls don't get BOsh, I think Boozer is about a good as a lock as you find.
All in all, I don't see a super team, or any of the guys guys playing together. So if Lebron stays put, we may not need to make a strong move. Just tweek the roster here and there.
I've always liked barbosa as a player, and he is an upgrade skill wise over Moon, has some great offensive skill sets. He's had a bit of a down season last season stats wise, though I didn't get to watch him much either. If LBJ stays, hes a shooter we'd need that could potenitally provide some MUCH needed offensive fire power esp if he shows up in the playoffs. I would be a bit hesitant to see if we're going to get Mike Miller as well as I see both as very similar players who love to shoot the 3 ball. We'd also be giving up some of our best trading pieces so I would want to make sure he's the best player we could get.
"The medium for the bad news was ESPN, which figured. The network represents much of what is loud, obnoxious and empty in sports today."
I would take Barbosa over Monta Ellis (another one floating out there)
but, I'm sort of sick of trading defense (Moon) for offense (Barbosa).
We could have Mo, Barbosa, and Jamison on the floor at the same time? Which elite team are we going to defend with that lineup?
----------------------------------
I sorta feel the same with Mike Miller, but SG was a weak spot last year. As long as we have a plan for C too, i'd be okay with it.
----------------------------------
here's an interesting thing just me putting pieces together. Dallas is interested in Shaq, we are interested in Haywood. Sign-n-trade swap? Wouldn't want Haywood for more than $6mil/year though and not sure Shaq signs that cheap, but it's an idea.
heard atlanta offered the diesel a contract, i think espn cleveland reported it.
i honestly think the barbosa thing, the more i have thought about it, is cleveland maybe trying to push the issue with bosh. chris broussard (and i know, take it for what it is) says that the toronto raptors would love to do a deal with the cavs involving a sign and trade, they love a few of the pieces the cavs had (windy backed that up last week) but they obviously need bosh to go along. he also said that lbj is trying to recruit him. maybe that is what lbj is waiting on.
CP3/D-Will/Nelson Brandon Roy/Kevin Martin Durant/Granger/Korver(shooter) Aldridge/David Lee/Kevin Love Brook Lopez/Chris Kaman
Good overall, but I have a couple things to add:
You are missing a key element that Colangelo/Coach K have been stressing from the big men. Guys who can play above the rim and swat the ball and grab rebounds that other countries can't touch (International Rules do not have goaltending).
If Dwight isn't on the team, we need a Josh Smith or heck, even a Ty Thomas guy to come in and be a defensive stopper and rebounder to completely frazzle the opponents.
Also, don't be surprised if JJ Redick is the 'shooter' choice over Korver. And how they both played last year, I'm not sure I'd even disagree with it.
just for fun, let's rehash everyone's favorite Bosh sign-n-trade for the Cavs.
My pie-in-the-sky sign-n-trade:
Calderon Bosh for Mo JJ Jamison Delonte (to be cut) 1st round pick
Calderon is a better 3pt shooter than most realize (around 40%), finishes at the rim better than Mo, shoots FTs just as well, and (until last year when he dropped off) was great at initiating the offense and creating opportunities for others.
Now, that's probably why we get Turk and not Calderon, but we can dream.
------------------
Then, sign Mike Miller to the MLE, sign-n-trade Shaq to Dallas for Haywood. And we are set:
PG: Calderon, Gibson, Telfair SG: Miller, Parker SF: LeBron, Moon, Green PF: Bosh, Powe, Jawad Williams C: AV, Haywood
More likely is Toronto gets both AV and JJ. And, Mike Miller gets more $$$ from a team desperate to use it's cap space (Clippers). I do think the Shaq for Haywood thing can happen
Everything is set for Chris Bosh to join LeBron James in Cleveland. Everything, that is, except Bosh's approval.
The Toronto Raptors have told the Cleveland Cavaliers they will do a sign-and-trade with them for Bosh, according to several league sources.
The exact details of the potential trade have not been solidified, but Toronto likely would get Anderson Varejao and/or J.J. Hickson, Delonte West and perhaps Anthony Parker. A draft pick could be involved as well.
ESPN NBA insider Chris Broussard says he thinks LeBron James is leaning towards staying in Cleveland. Chris Bosh wants to play with James but would rather do it in a bigger city than Cleveland.
Both James and Bosh are aware that such a trade is possible, and James has tried to recruit Bosh to the Cavaliers several times in the past few weeks, according to sources.
But right now, Bosh remains cold to the idea of playing in Cleveland.
The Cavaliers are hopeful that will change, because in Cleveland, Bosh can meet two of his top priorities: playing with James, and getting a six-year, $125 million contract.
If Bosh joins a team without doing a sign-and-trade, he will be able to sign only a five-year deal worth $96 million. He is determined not to leave that $29 million on the table, according to sources.
Although Bosh wants to play with James, he wants to do it in Chicago, Miami or New Jersey. Sources say he has told the Raptors those are the teams he would like to go to in a sign-and-trade.
Bosh also could play with Dwyane Wade instead of James in those cities.
Toronto, however, will not cooperate in a sign-and-trade with Miami, which has no players in whom the Raptors are interested, according to sources.
To move Bosh to Chicago, the Raptors likely would ask for Joakim Noah, though they could perhaps be persuaded to take a package that does not include him.
The Nets would seem to be able to put together an enticing package for the Raptors that included rookie lottery pick Derrick Favors.
