ESPN NFL analyst Jeremy Green has been arrested in Bristol, Connecticut, and charged with first-degree possession of child pornography, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, the Hartford Courant is reporting.

Green, the 38-year-old son of former NFL coach Dennis Green, was arrested at a hotel near ESPN's headquarters at about 5 p.m. Thursday and placed into custody on $750,000 cash bail.

Whoa! I have been on his ESPN podcast before and was even FB friends with him. He hasn't been doing his show for the past few months, but I thought it was because he was going through his divorce. He was also the director of Scouts Inc. the ESPN scouting department, aka the draft guys.

BRISTOL — The ESPN football analyst charged with possessing child pornography admitted to police he was a “cocaine user,” a prosecutor said Friday.

Jeremy Green, 38, a former football scout and an analyst who responds to fan questions on ESPN.com, was taken into custody at the Holiday Inn Express in Southington where he was staying around 5 p.m. Thursday.

Green was charged by warrant with first-degree possession of child pornography, possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia by Bristol police and held on $750,000 bond payable in cash only until his appearance in court Friday.

The arrest warrant has been sealed by the court for 14 days. Prosecutor Ronald Dearstyne told court officials during Green’s arraignment in Bristol Superior Court Friday that he couldn’t discuss the details but he believed he had a “good case” against Green. “This is a very serious case, and in my opinion a good case,” he said.

In the state of Connecticut, an individual must possess more than 50 depictions or images to be charged with first-degree possession of child pornography. Green admitted to officers during a statement he gave police after his arrest that he used cocaine, Dearstyne said. Bristol police declined to comment on any aspect citing the sealed arrest warrant.

Green has been with ESPN for five years, court officials said, and was described on the company’s web site as an “ESPN.com NFL Insider” who responds to questions from fans on SportsNation. Green also previously hosted the “Football Today” podcast for ESPN.com and works for Scouts, Inc. His father Dennis Green was a head coach for the Minnesota Vikings and the Arizona Cardinals.

Bristol Superior Court Judge Bernard Gaffney altered Green’s bond to $750,000 cash or surety which allow the use of a professional bondsman to seek his release. His case will be transferred to the felony level court at New Britain Superior Court fwhere he is due to appear July 20..

-Bristol PressA quarter of a million in bond.......Snorting blow and pervin' out to kiddie-porn....................That's some kinda rock-bottom for Jeremy Green and his pops..........
