Alright. I have been a member of The Browns Board and/or Barking Hard for the past 5 years. It is now impossible to talk Browns over there, because everything turns into girly fights between posters, people are always ragging on the mods and the mods return fire, every post is a QB post with responses as Quinn [derogatory name] or DA [derogatory name] (still!!!), and a majority of the posts are about the board itself or the Rival board (TBB or BH) and not about the Browns. During the season, its all about who was right and who was wrong. Finally, I've decided to find myself a new home.
Can I have some feedback that this place isn't like it? For anyone who may also be members on other forums, I am also a member at RedsZone and BuckeyePlanet, and would love to find a place like one of those. I hope this is it!

I say this board is great. There are lots of good people here and probably the most passionate Browns fans I've ever met. And if you are into long, drawn out political debates or turning non-political threads into political debates, the Tailgate Lot is the place to be!

Hey man....welcome aboard. I like The Browns Board and have made many friends over there....I join with them for most tailgates....never joined the other one.....but this place is my first home so it always holds a special spot. Guess I have been talking with many of these folks for 8-9 years...maybe more considering this board morphed from the official site maybe 3-4 years ago....maybe longer...as a old timer, 1 year, 5 years, seems about the same to me. As with any new board, take your time, get accustomed to the protocol, then have a good time.

Nice to have someone familiar around, Peen. I was D'Qwimbley at the old places.
I was never one of the old "AOL guy" so I never had a previous affiliation with all of the guys. I just couldn't stand it there or at Barking Hard anymore. Glad to be here!

(a bit of an inside joke .... you'll probably get it one day and go "Oh, that's what he was talking about") There are a lot of good people here .... a lot of good conversation ..... exchange of ideas .... and some really good, and occasionally butt kickin' debates.

This board has its know-it-alls that will get mad if you ever find out they made a mistake, then they will sometimes follow your every post and try to contradict everything you say. I can think of 3 right off hand.
This is pretty much the only message board I go to.I cant name the other board I sometimes frequent (great people to tailgate with). I would rather talk any other sport besides the Browns on this board, rather then go to an Indians/Buckeyes/NBA board. Its not over moderated like it use to be. PPL does a good job.

Welcome. Don't listen to these other guys. There are no debates or arguements on this board. Everyone knows tht Bush/Obama sucks and the DA/Quinn couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. About the only thing we really have to argue over is weather or not Edward's could catch. Enjoy.

Welcome, I love this board. This is the slow time of year, but when training camp starts and the Browns start playing, it really gets going. And this time of year I really enjoy the tailgate lot and all the politics (and other stuff) that goes with it
I think the board's grown over the years, but there are quite a few members who have been here a really long time and so it's really quite the community. When Dawgtalkers (off Clevelandbrowns.com) turned into Browns Chat I was miserable, and then I was sent an invite to this one and I was elated.
As Peen said, just get used to the protocol and it's generally all gravy baby. It's a great board IMO

Man, it is crazy to think about how long some of these posters have been around.
I've been here since 02' (Well back when it was the main board), so I've been here 8 years. I know there's a lot of people here that have been here A LOT longer than that.

Welcome 2da boards, CBus. Whether by luck, a tip, or skill, you've landed at a very cool hang-out. A more colorful and diverse cast of characters would be very hard to find. Most of us are refugees from the official board, and came here for the very reasons you did. For the most part, it's an oasis of civility and sanity in a desert of foolishness and bad taste. You'll find good football talk, some lively sociopolitical debate, and a fair amount of laughs and thought-provoking posts at this web address. The mods are pretty good 'traffic cops' here, and do a pretty good job of allowing traffic flow without getting in the way.Follow the rules of the road, and you'll barely even notice them. Be prepared to state an opinion and back it up... your fellow Dawgs will challenge you, and many will inspire you to dig deeper into your views than you ever thought possible... and that's a good thing, IMHO. By frequenting this place, I've grown from a basic "Steelers suck!" type fan to a budding student of the game. Hanging with these mutts has been a great learning experience for me... and I'm grateful to them all for their insight and contributions. One piece of advice: if you haven't already done so, please develop a deep and healthy hatred for all things Pittsburgh, and you'll fit right in here. Welcome to The Pack. Yep.....Like Peen I was a HOF member of DTI (official site) before finding some of the old posters here. It took me getting an e-mail from an O'l friend to find this site two years or more later.
You may find your occasional butt head here, but the form is structured so that the different forms are set up to give another option and keeps 'Pure Football' debate in the proper place.
Also the refs seem to have good tact, but won't hesitate to delete or move post accordingly.
I try not to get into pissing matches.
I prefer to use the option available to one and all.
I don't reply back, but if it is kept to healthy debate I look forward to that.
So welcome and I look forward to hearing from you in the future.
