Good lord in my honest opinion you are over-reacting (notice I didn't say you were being "hysterical"  ), but I'm marking it down to a difference of opinion and hopefully it will be dropped. And if it really bothers that many people - which I question - then I will make every effort to refrain from "Ben-rape-victim" jokes just because it isn't worth the bother.

Lampy I've stayed out of this but you make it sound like Derden lights up a joint every now and then.... Derden has recounted his near death experiences from all manners of hard drugs including heroin, he has told us of his friends that have OD'd and died, he's told of us of the times he's quit only to go back.... and he continues to do it.. so if that doesn't make him stupid, what does?
Oh, as for the whole Ben and the rape victims plot.. making fun of Ben is cool, making fun of rape victims is not.. I'll leave the rest up to your discretion.

I'm going to try to break this down for you in the simplest way that I know how. Let's say that some ordinary guy (let's call him John Smith) from Witchita, Kansas rapes two women. Upon hearing the news, would you proclaim that you wanted to watch the two women mud wrestle? Or would you consider that to be an inapproriate comment? Are you saying that's it's okay to make this kind of comment just because they were BEN'S alleged victims? If that's the case, then I'm not sure I understand your sense of humor. Quote:

You ladies are forgetting one important thing.... who said they were raped??? The girl in Georgia was underage and drunk in the club. Forensics proved Ben didnt have sex with her. The girl out west that claimed he raped her, never filed charges and filed a civil suit a year after the fact. Looks like she just wants the money.
So since you ladies are ganging up on Lamp why dont you get your own facts straight .... lets call them golddiggers/oppurtunists having a wrestling match in mudd. Nothing Lamp said was offensive towards rape victims... It seems to me that your playing the PC card and creating an arguement out of what was suppose to be a funny slam towards ben.

I can't believe this, this thread has taken quite an interesting turn. We have two people making fun of rape, a druggie who tries to defend their posts, a Bengals fan who chimes in but everyone is ignoring despite the fact that this thread originally was smack against the Bengals, and to top it off, we have a Browns fan who is actually sticking up for Ben by saying that he didn't do it.

I am getting away from this thread before I say something that I would go away for a long time for saying ....
I know a girl who was raped. I would not wish that on anyone. She went through HELL, and doubts, disbelievers, incredible lack of cooperation on the part of police .... and she did not deserve to be treated that way.
Rapists get convicted because there is the right combination of evidence, desire on the part of the police and prosecutors to actually pursue a case, and the flat out guts of the victim to see an incredibly painful experience through. (One that includes people looking at her because they "know" that she was really "asking for it" somehow ...... friends walking away ...... family asking if the whole thing is really worth pursuing and maybe it would be better is she would just "forget it .......
I would be willing to bet that for every rapist convicted, there are probably 10 rapes that go unprosecuted.
Yeah .... this whole thread has taken a rather disgusting turn. I hope the Refs lock this thing up, because frankly, the whole thing stinks to high heaven.
