If this has been talked about in the past, I apologize. I just noticed that every regular season game this year is a 1 PM start with New Orleans being the furthest "west" of Cleveland we go. I don't recall us ever having a schedule like this.

i thought it was because the NFL loves us and Mangini requested being able to keep everything on a tight schedule week-to-week

I can understand us not getting a prime time game, but to also not have a late start game. Seemed like every game last year wasn't a 1 PM game.

we play the NFC South and AFC East this year, so the only 'west coast' game we have on the schedule is against AFC West Kansas City and even that game is at home.
the farthest west we travel is New Orleans (which means we stay on this side of the Mississippi the whole year)

All fine with me. Personally, I found the wait for 4pm or prime time games to be excruciating.

Especially if you had to watch Cincy or Pitt to wait it out,...
This 1 PM thing is anomalistic because of the scheduled teams this year, combined witht the fact that we don't "deserve" any primetime.
It most likely won't happen again, at least on purpose.

I don't like 1pm games.
Because when we play at 4pm, I can enjoy the 1pm games. When we play at 1pm, and get out teeth kicked in, I don't even wanna watch football the rest of the day lol.

Meh, like ripping off a bandaid. Get the pain over quick.
I don't see it as a slight at all. I'd rather have my team playing on the same day and at the same time every week. No short weeks. No night games. No waiting. All the guys are ready to go every game.

j/c I don't care when they play - I'll be watching. Last year, in church........I was, uh, daydreaming I guess, but I heard the preacher say "Does everyone know what happens at 1:00 today?" And, I said, loudly enough for about 30 people to hear: "The Browns are on..." with each word getting a bit quieter. The preacher was referring to a "come help us clean up the church" kind of thing they had going on.........

1pm, 4pm or primetime - doesn't matter to me. I'm gonna be in a bad mood when they lose and I'm gonna be happy when they win - so at least when they win at 1pm I'll be able to bask in the glory for a few more hours a week.

I like 1PM games.
It allows me to start drinking beer at 9AM without feeling like a total lush.

Those both sum up the pros and cons of the 1:00 start time perfectly for me

I HATE 1pm games. That means 9am for me. The bars are always packed too so you have to get there at 8am to get a seat. PLUS booze sales aren't allowed in Anchorage until 10am. Time to buy direct tv i guess. Still it's hard to get going for a 9am game.............but we do. Big Backers club up here.

I looked at it...I just didn't notice every game was 1PM and don't recall seeing anyone mentioning it. I'm neither complaining about or pimping the schedule. It was just an observation.

i could not imagine watching the browns play at 9. my only experience was watching college football in vegas. last october we went and had breakfast to watch the bucks play at like 9.
but look at it like this, at least football won't dominate your whole day. game will be over by noon and you have the rest of the day to either watch football or do what ya want.
i think it's pretty cool that you can watch the world series and nba finals, stuff that usually ends at like midnight (even for me at central time) and you still get a good night rest.

I hate the 4 pm games because it cuts your day. 1pm game time is my favorite, get to it, dont have to wait til sunday/monday night etc...

It's not a bad thing in Vegas, at least to me, I can't sleep long there and am up at 4 or 5am regardless what time I crash. So 10am makes for a nice early start.
I go to LV for the Superbowl every year. Catch the game, then hit the tables.

I loved the early start times when I lived in CA. It was especially fun for college football. Roll out of bed at 9am, watch 10 straight hours of football and it's only 7pm which gave plenty of time to go find something to eat and get read y to go out at night. Good times.
