The fumble by the freshman close to the goal line was just a killer.

But what happened to Marshall's defense? Looked like they just sat back in the prevent and WV just marched down the field at will.

I really thought Marshall was going to pull it out.

USF 'was' a good team. They likely will be again. This year is expected (and it certainly looks like it) to be a huge rebuilding year where they take a step back. Media is often wrong, but almost everyone picked them in the bottom half of the Big East for a reason.

+1

Boise State probably needs every team other than them to have 2 losses to get into the BCS title game now. If their "we beat a top 10 team" ends up being unranked at the end of the season and that's really their only BIG top-10 resume game.....wow, season over. How can VT be ranked after losing to James Madison?

Seriously, VT is going to kill their chances at a BCS run.

He's good.

Other than another crappy year, he would look good in a Browns uniform.

So we beat them by 24 points. By how much should we have beat them???

I do agree, we have been out of sync, but a win is a win......no???

It's not like it took a late field goal at the end.

UF looked horrible at the start of the game... but then they looked like the Florida of old... I personally think they are going to be just fine this year. Not sure they'll beat Bama, but wouldn't be surprised if that was their only loss.

And on the other hand,it wouldn't surprise me if we lost 2-3.

It doesn't take much slippage to be a middle of the road SEC team.

The SEC is close this year and will beat up on each other. The BCS champ probably won't be a SEC team.....we may not even have one in the game for the first time in a while.

Just the way it works.

Maybe... I think Bama obviously is the cream of the crop in the SEC, then there's UF... but after that I think there's a drop off... the SEC is still the best conference in the country, but I don't think it's as strong up and down as it was the last couple of years. LSU is still a tough team but I think they are over-rated.

Just looked at your schedule and I did forget about South Carolina though... again, it's a game ya'll should win (like LSU) but I could see it being tough.

If ya'll lose to App State though could be a bit of smack talked

Besides Boise and TCU who ever makes it to the championship game is going to have to REALLY earn it this year... both Boise and TCU should go undefeated... but should be an interesting year this year.

The Sec has shown major drop this year. Alabama is still my #1 in the country but I have yet to see another team from the SEC that deserves to be in the top 10. The Gamecocks look to be the second best team in the conference right now. But I want to reserve judgement on them until they play someone substantial. Georgia was not impressive at all.

Boise St. is getting first place votes??? I wish the media would stop building up the broncos cuz they not top end school. If you take Bama, Buckeyes, Longhorns, Oklahoma ..... Boise St. is out matched at every position against the Tide and tOSU and maybe 20-22 starting positions with the others. The only 2 that they may be able to compete is the QB and WR #2 (not sure of his name)

James Madison beating VaTech (in Blacksburg no less) just ruined Boise State's season.

There will be no Voter respect for a team that barely beat VaTech in the last minute when VaTech is obviously HIGHLY over-rated and lost to this D2 school.

sorry, should only have quoted your part. only noting that USF was in for a bad year because you were noting they were a good program. nothing more.

I think the Gators will likely be just fine by midseason. Breaking in a new QB always has it's bumps, which is all I think you are going through right now. You still have your defense cranked up, which is the most important thing.

I agree that I could see you guys losing 2-3 games this year due to the inexperienced signal-caller, but 10-2 is hardly middle of the pack for any conference (heck, that's still a BCS berth in the Sugar most likely...I think if you lose 3, it'll be 10-3 as that third would be to in the SEC Champ game).

i predicted before the season that the big 10 would be the best conference, better than the sec.

right now, i think i am right, although that could change.

but if michigan is legitimate? osu/iowa/wisconsin/michigan is a pretty hefty top four, with penn st decent and northwestern kinda on the verge of maybe being a upper tier big ten team. they are right in the middle. they are the best of the rest, as i like to say.

very deep conference. although i agree that bama is the best team in the country by a fair margin.
