How excited are you for this season?

I've read a number of you who arent excited at all because you think we'll be terrible, another number of you (me included) are cautiously optimisitc because the offense has looked so potent with Delhomme at the helm.

So how excited are you?!...and why?

I think that this team is going to be very exciting to watch, and also a team that is going to compete in every game, play with a little edge, and play the style of football that can lead us to some success...That has me very excited?

On a scale 1-10, I'm a 12.

Are we a playoff team? Not even close. But, it's Cleveland Browns football baby!

I think we'll be better this year, and won't get blown out of many games. We're going to show up ready to play week in and week out this year. Should be some exciting games, at least.

Just got Direct TV this year due to my new baby dawg....Super excited to start the season on the road (a first in 10 years) and that we have a legitimate chance to win.

While I predict us being slightly below average, I do expect much more competitive games with some actual offensive production

I've not been this excited since the return. Our qb controversies have always left a knot in my stomach heading into the first game. I think the potential is there to do better than most here are expecting.

I totally disagree. We could be very close to making the playoffs. I think we had a pretty good team last year. Except our QB's sucked soo bad we couldnt do anything.

10, I'm one of those people who think we will be right on the verge of making the playoffs. A couple of things go our way, a win or two we aren't supposed to get and we make it.

A buddy I work with wants to lose as many games as possible for draft picks next year.

I am with Frenchy; I think we could be in the mix, especially if we get some breaks, stay healthy, CALL AGGRESSIVE GAMES, and stop handing out games like Halloween candy in the division. Even splits with all teams would help. I am about, ohhhh, eight.pi already because it is Browns football, baby! And I reserve the right to go insanely higher if we win a few and do not stink it up. Having a defense that blitzes and tackles and a QB who is a marked improvement over the two we sent packing, I think it could be interesting. I am amped up! Weare undefeated in the regular season so far!

I kind of agree, will really know more after the 3rd game. Right now, about a 4 out of 10, but agree in part on the 5 thing, only it's 5 -11 as our season record. Looking at 0-6 or 1-5 in the division.

Was it the year 2007 when they opened at home vs the Steelers.

I remember how long it took for ANY excitement to be replaced with something like disgust or a real bad feeling

7 minutes.

I looked at the clock it was only 1:15 in the afternoon, the game didn't start on time.

7 minutes into the game the Steelers had a 14 point lead and were about to score again!

AT HOME!

Wow imagne that 3 years, 3 years ago and Charlie Frye was the guy.

Then Derrek Anderson, not Charlie Frye, then should they or could they draft Quinn, then the moved up to get Quinn, then the Quinn needs more time years and then the Release of Anderson and Quinn then We have now.

If is funny, I remember an april radio show I remember Jon Clayton saying, how can I forget this this is a quote.
" The only thing the Browns can do worse than drafting Brady Quinn, is not draft Brady Quinn "

Now we have a new quarterback to start this season. Again! but this one is experienced.

So there could be some excitement, especially if they totally dominate the
Tampa Bay.

I wonder if we will continue to see the Harrison and Cribbs show.

I wonder if St Clair and Womack will play the right side and dominate like I know they can.

im excited to see if Eric Wright has an interception return for points before Cribbs has a return for a touchdown.

I wonder if Elam is going to play like a player and not just someone watching the catch and waiting to tackle.

I wonder if this is the year where Josh Cribbs surpasses Eric Metcalf or if he can equal his offensive abiltiies.

I wonder just what will Hillis do, and since Heckert is GM, Just who is it that is their Brian Westbrook type of player.

I wonder if Evan Moore is going to be the #1 receiver on this team, and if so, should he line up at receiver. Just what is Ben Watson's success level going
to be.

I don't want to hear how this team has alot of holes to fill and they can't do it all at once and it is going to take time.

I don't want to hear that they don't have the players to run the 3-4 defense.
They have changed almost the entire roster, Again, since 2007.

THey need to play football, Keep the team together, and build an identity.

I guess what I mean is; They have a chance, to give me a reason, to get excited; but with the last 5 years, all we can do is hope this train doesn't wreck.

Maybe this rocket will Launch, but in about 3 weeks we'll know more.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I'm more intrigued than excited. I know there will be steady progress in differing areas.

I also know the right side of the OL and our WR corp is relatively weak. Our secondary is young and no matter the talent level, rookie growing pains will rear their ugly heads.

So I'm far more intrigued as to how this group will develop as a team. I expect highs and lows with such a young group considering the turnover on the roster.

I think winning between 6-8 games would be a realistic expectation. We have the right people in place to build a winning franchise now but for it to happen overnight I feel is a very unrealistic thing to expect.

Dude, it's Browns football. That's the ONLY reason we need to be excited about.

Besides, it's the eve of the season opener, we haven't stunk yet cuz we haven't played, our offense looked alive in the preseason, and we have reason to believe the ship is being righted. So if you need any other reason to be excited, that should do it.

I'm pretty much pumped. By far, my favorite weekend of the year. Too bad the opener is away this year- gotta wait that extra week to tailgate and park my ass in CBS!

It's a new season!

I am ready, good, bad, or somewhere in between.

I look forward to my drives up this fall and winter.

I look forward my morning walks from the hotel to the lake and back.

I look forward to shopping the West Side Market for a few hours on Saturday mornings.

I look forward to seeing some friends at a few of the PUBs/restaurants I frequent on my visits.

I look forward to tailgating.

I look forward to entering the stadium and heading to the seats....seeing some of the folks I have sat with for several years.

I look forward to kick off and kicking some butt.

I look forward to my victory meal at the Blue Pointe.

Go Browns!

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

It's about at a 7.5 for me.
Not thinking about it a whole lot, but thinking about it if you know what I mean.

The wife and I will have our traditional NFL Sunday late breakfast at home, (bacon/scrambled eggs/toast/OJ). I will then go biking soon after, and will return about 30 minutes before kickoff.

Tomorrow morning and up to kickoff I will be anxious/excited/nervous and I do not want the damn phone ringing when the game is on. I hate distractrions, in fact I only like watching football with people who are similar in their football viewing: no yapping during the play, and we all think Lampy should control the remote.
Oh and be prepared to put up with my pacing and anxiety.

I have stopped drinking on Sunday afternoons because it wrecks me by Sunday night, so there'll no beer to numb the empty feeling of a loss.

How good would a Week 1 victory feel, heading home with the Chiefs coming?
Even against TB, I don't care what team it is.

I'm really excited to see professional football again and I'm hopeful the Browns pull of a few upsets but then you look at the division and schedule only to realize this ain't gonna be pretty.

Put it this way: if the Browns were 0-15, I'd still get up in the morning with the same butterflies in my stomach like I do every Sunday. I would still feel that tinge of excitement when I see those Browns helmets for the first time. They are a part of who I am. I would pay $1000 for the NFL Sunday Ticket. That's how excited I am and how much I love the Browns.

That's why when we finally win it all ... I will cry like a baby!

This year I'm down to an 8... I was a 13 last year.. but the way things went last year and spending more time with my son has changed that. but I'm still excited.. but I think i'll be up to 13 by the time 9:50am rolls around and I start looking for a good online stream to watch the game on with my son.. just can't wait for him to grow up more so he can really experience it..

I think we'll be better this year, and won't get blown out of many games. We're going to show up ready to play week in and week out this year. Should be some exciting games, at least.

This more-or-less accurately sums up my excitement level as well. Compared to the lows of last year, we may as well have won the super bowl last season. Ending strong gives us the room to believe we can start strong this season. We may sputter out of the gate, we may get the whole shot, the only thing I feel is certain is that we ARE a better team.

I'm excited for our first game, to see how Jake plays, to see our offense in legitimate action. To see how our defense plays. Tampa is a team we should be able to beat, this first week will do a lot to show us how the future weeks in this season could look. You can't write off a whole season based on a week one match-up but it should be able to tell us what we are good at now, and the things we will need to work on to improve over the season.

I expect we'll see an improved team, but not only that, as we move along throughout the season our team will grow. THAT is what I am excited for, to see our team grow together, improve, hopefully see some potential that we are moving in the right direction.

It's a little over a hour till kickoff and I'm pacing all over the house. The Steelers are on Fox and the local channel is carrying the game. Last year they tended to show Bengals games, but were flooded with calls to show the Browns as there are no Bengal fans around here.

I have a great deal of optimism brewing in me, and feel this could be a great year. The team believes in itself and the FO and coaches seem to have a definite plan. I'm not looking ahead and predicting anything, but I feel a wildcard is the cards.

I'm at a 1.

I don't expect crap out of this team - other than, well, crap.

I'm sick of it.

Every team turns it around - except the Browns.

Instead of, when I go to Detroit to pick my parents up next sunday - instead of having my wive DVR it, I will drive back slow, so the damn game is over by the time I get home.
