My 1 year old must also be very excited because he woke up 3 times last night, and he hardly ever wakes up in the middle of the night.

I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

Unfortunately - after working yesterday morning - my cold started kicking my butt in the afternoon. I sat upstairs, with a blanket on and a mild fever, trying to watch the OSU game. I slept through most of it.

My wife and daughter went to a friends house - I told them there's no way I'm going. Woke up at 8:15 pm or so, went downstairs, brushed my teeth, and hit the bed at about 8:45. Tried watching some t.v. for about 15 minutes, turned the tv off at 9 and was out. Got up at 6:15 - wife was awake - asked if I was good enough to go to church - and we went to the early service.

I came home, she and my daughter are going out to eat.

I'm feeling a bit better - but will man up and hit the garage at 1:00 for the game.

So, to answer your question, no, I had no trouble sleeping last night. None at all.

Honestly, I used to do that all the time. On purpose. Couldn't stand getting up early on Sunday and waiting hours for the game to start. So I would stay up all night Saturday night and set an alarm so I'd wake up minutes before kick-off. (Once, long ago, pre-cable, pre-DVR or ESPN, I was up way past daybreak and forgot to set the alarm. My wife was away that morning and came in the door waking me up saying,"Are you sleeping?! The Browns game is over. They lost." I nearly died! Turns out it was 12:50pm and the game was about to come on.)

These days I'm forced by a commitment to get up by 7:30 every Sunday. By 10:30 the commitment is over and I'm on my own. I've given up busying myself up to the game because I can't keep my mind on task. So what I do now is jump on here and all over the internet getting as much pre-game coverage as I can. I also have ESPN playing in the background until WTAM starts their coverage. Then I listen to that while surfing right up to game time.

So no, you're not weird. Because if you are then I am too, and I can't be weird. Can I?

GO Browns!

Good stuff guys, especially the one about missing the game because of sleeping, i dream i do that all the time but it has never happen thank goodness. Anyway i did fall asleep at 630am and woke up right around 9am so i got a couple hours of shut eye. Went to my buddies house across town at 11am and started drinking in his backyard waiting for the crew to come over and watching and listening(radio) to the pregame. We had a pretty descent crowd in the backyard(10) but we were all let down again. Hopefully that will change next week at home.. Go Browns..
P.S. I guess were all weird in our own little way.
