We're about ten minutes out, so I'll throw out my predictions: Florida beats Alabama by 10. Stanford beats Oregon by 3.

Yep... I am on board with him... Stanford 21-3 over the Ducks.

Props to Jim Harbaugh as well. He was great as San Diego University, and is a great coach for Stanford.

Any crappy team's dream scenario should be getting the Harbaugh/Luck combo.

I don't see "greatness" when I watch the Buckeyes. I don't see a National Championship when I see them struggle against the likes of Illinois. What I see is a team that is strong at QB, D-Line, and LB; average-to-above average at WR & TE (with Stoneburner), average at RB, O-Line, and DB, average-to-below-average special teams.

Hope I'm wrong, but I don't think we are in the same class as Alabama.

Well, in fairness, they did struggle offensively because of the fact that Pryor was injured and couldn't move.

Who knows? That's why they play the games .....

This team reminds me of 02....if you told me we are going to win it all that year 4 games into the season i would have said "i don't know man..maybe there are lot of teams better than us"

I love the bucks the way they are....underdogs all the way baby! can you imagine how sweet it would be if we beat bama in the national title game?
I was just like you up until last week. but now i realized...do i want the 06 team(pretty much steam rolled everyone until florida) or the 02 team? i'll take 02
Do i want more consistancy from our team? YES...but as long as we WIN who cares how we win.

I'd feel a lot better about them if they had that stud hoss RB that we're used to seeing. I heard a post-game show host (Kenny Roda - WKNR) saying he'd like to see Tressel move Brandon Saine to slot receiver, and go with a Herron-Berry rotation at RB, in order to get Berry more touches. I think it might be worth a shot. Saine has great straight-line speed, but no wiggle. He does catch the ball very well, and would be a difficult matchup for opponent D-Coordinators, considering they already have to worry about Posey, Sanzenbacher, and Stoneburner.

I agree, as I don't like to overanalyze, but Alabama, right now, isn't losing to ANYBODY,....

However, the "how" Ohio State wins will become increasingly important.

There are a boatload of teams left still unbeaten. The National Championship matchup -- assuming Alabama is in -- is way too tough to call otherwise. The way Ohio State played yesterday, and now with Pryor a ? mark, the Buckeyes are not gonna get there. I say that only because, even undefeated, there is a lot of competition for the other spot.

Oregon looks good, Oklahoma has only Okie State left to challenge, Boise has nobody, etc. etc. LSU still "in the mix." Michigan with no defense,....Northwestern and Michigan State,.... We're gonna have to score 50 to beat Michigan this year,...I'm serious. This Robinson kid is runnning wild; he looks like he's 3 times faster than Pryor.

Lot of football left yet. And I probabbly missed somebody.

If i remember correctly, we didn't really run much early last year either..then put together bunch of 200+ yard games together...

the team had it so easy last few weeks that this was sort of an eye opener....also lets not forget this was the first road game of the year..and illi has the talent to give us some fitz....if this was indiana or northwestern i would be a little concerned...

I'm not going to worry about it until we lose...we get it done one way or another when it needs getting done...i am however concerned a little about how we can't get a 1st down when it's 3rd and short. that bugs the hell out of me...i would LOVEEEEE to see berry get some carries..but i doubt it's going to happen...

I love it. I've always liked Saine as a receiving back, but he's just not a runner for our system (he'd do better in a pro-style 1-cut setup IMO).

I want more touches for Herron and I like Berry better than Saine running, plus it gives us more options with counters and such with Saine coming back across the field (ala our Percy Harvin).

wins all around on that decision.

I know no one realized it because the great BTN announcers didn't say it, but there were 25-30 mph winds the whole game according to the PD. That's why they weren't throwing the ball.

OoooRah, you will love this... about halftime of the Alabama vs Florida game my, soon to be, 14 year old son says, "Dad, I wish Maryland played Florida, we could beat Florida." I smiled and said, "Yea? How do you figure?".. and he said.. "Well Alabama beat Duke by like 30 right? and Alabama is beating Florida by 20+ at halftime.. therefore, Florida must not be much better than Duke... and Maryland beat Duke." I told him I appreciated his optimism but thats one or two more degrees of separation than I think we can count on...
