BOGOTA, Colombia (Reuters) -- Two clowns were shot and killed by an unidentified gunman during their performance at a traveling circus in the eastern Colombian town of Cucuta, police said Wednesday.
The gunman burst into the Circo del Sol de Cali on Monday night and shot the clowns in front of an audience of 20 to 50 people, local police chief Jose Humberto Henao told Reuters.
One of the clowns was killed instantly, and the second died the next day in hospital.
"The killings had nothing to do with the show the victims were performing at the time of the incident," Henao said in a telephone interview. "We are investigating the motive."
With an entrance fee of under 50 cents, Circo del Sol de Cali attracts mostly poor Colombians. It pitched its tents in Cucuta, near the border with Venezuela, earlier this month.
"The clowns came out to give their show, and then this guy came out shooting them," one audience member told local television. "It was terrible."

I may not be overly fond of clowns but damn man, they were murdered in cold blood. How in the name of all that is good can you find something like funny?
I should know better and not open threadds with that question. I haven't found one funny yet but still I think maybe this time.
Though I can't stand clowns I find nothing funny about two PEOPLE dressed as clowns being shot and killed. It's especially tragic that it was done in front of an audience that most likely was made up of a lot of children.
I remember taking a young cousin to see a circus and having a trapeze performer fall during the show. That performer wasn't killed but she did suffer injuries and needed to be transported to the hospital. My cousin was very upset and that was a minor accident not a violent attack, I can't imagine what some of the kids that witnessed this are going through.
I don not find the murders a bit funny. Some of the "facts" printed in the article I do find odd, unusual in that type of "funny". ie..........

Okay now, right off the top of my head,I find this kinda funny in not only a humerous way,but unusual and disconserting kind of funny way too. If my math ain't real frickin' bad,50 people makes TWO AND A HALF TIMES the amount of 20 people! Not even in the same ball park there! And the damned police chief can't narrow it down any better than that? And he's the "top cop" in this ultra efficiant police force?

Now once again, let's look at this for a minute. The Police chief says a maximum of 50 people *give or take two and half times as many people* and at .50 cents or less!!?
Now who the hell can run a damned "circus" paying clowns, setting up for a MAX $20.00!!??
Yep,sounds kinda funny to me,ie.......fishy kinda funny.
So I can see something a little "funny" about this. An innept police chief and some very unreliable figures. But I don't see much humor in the premise of this story.

All of Colombia got a raise in the minimum wage the first of the year .. You ready for this .. When you convert the Peso into dollars , it works out about $ 196.00 a month ! Colombia is still a typical Latin Country of the haves ( colonialists ) and the rest of the folks 80 % ..
Two cannibals were eating a clown . When suddenly, with a strange look on his face one turned to the other and asked ,``does this taste funny to you´´?
