I mentioned it a while ago, but there really aren't any Bengals fans around anymore. I haven't see shirts or hats with those ugly colors on them for many weeks now. When I know I'm talking to a Bengals fan I'll bring up football...and the sad looks on their faces is worth every effort I make to be sort-of kind about their suckitude.

And, ftr, I don't miss them AT ALL.

Just combining several Bengals threads into one giant thread. No need for 8 threads to tell us how bad the Bengals suck, when one thread will do that just fine.

Even if they suck 8 times as much as other teams?

And been officially eliminated from the playoffs ? My guess is, their posters'll be back when the Browns are too.

My niece's husband is from Cinci and is a Bengals fan. He said on Thanksgiving that he wasn't even going to pay attention to the Bengals game on Thursday night and didn't really care. Now, he might have just been whining, but I kind of believed him.

I know when the Browns were at their absolute worst (see most of the games since 1999), I complained and, a few times, said I wasn't going to watch them. But, by the Saturday before the game, I'd be pumped and couldn't wait to see them.

Didn't get that feeling from him.

I have always gotten those feelings from the Bengals fans in my family. They are very fair-weather fans. When they are playing half way decent I get smacked throughout our entire visits. When they aren't, I have to bring it up. When I do, they are very BLAH about the whole thing...almost like they never said the Bengals were good.

I just don't get it. The Browns have been horrible for what seems like forever...and I still drag my ass to the bar to watch them week in and week out. They couldn't care less if they miss a game when things aren't going well. And, I don't talk smack...ever, really. We aren't good enough and it's not in my nature to start the ribbing. If they bring it up, I'll join in, but I won't start it like they do.

Jerks.

Not really. They smell bad.

Really bad.

His top 5 smack topics are as follows:

1. It's not gold, it's yellow.
2. Cheatin bastards.
3. We beat them December of last year.
4. We beat the Pats and they didn't.
5. We beat the Saints and they didn't.

Of course, if you look at the last 3 topics, that DOES show an improvement in the Browns. Kudos!

Buying a ring for a Steelers fan would have to be a piece of cafe ......

1) Go to childrens' 25 cent ring machine in lobby of WalMart
2) Get ring
3) Purchase "roadkill" yellow spray paint while at store
4) spray ring
5) Present ring as "gold"

Do I have to pull out the color chart AGAIN? See the difference between gold and metallic gold? Metallic gold is what the Saints wear.

They should call it yellow gold then. Doesn't look like the same gold the Steelers wear. When I see Steeler yellow, I see a # 1 pool ball. The logo on the helmet is yellow too, by the way. Has something to do with iron ore,...blue is scrap metal.

(I know it's "officially" B&G.)

Remember, I'm color blind,....well, the wife calls it "shade deaf."

I'm bored with the "it's not gold it's yellow thing" but it looks as though the color definition really depends on the chart you use:

So that argument could go back and forth forever...

This smack thread has definitely taken a turn...

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

You don't have to go all "PMS" on us.

Plus, that "gold" still ain't as yellow as Stillers' yellow.

People people people...er I mean...dawgs dawgs dawgs...

I am simply illustrating to you the difference between metallic gold and non-metallic gold. Yes, I realize that there are different shades of gold. Some are darker than others.

If you want to see what yellow looks like, then like at the gramelins on this board.

Oh, and to whoever mentioned Michigan, that is like a canary yellow to me. And a very ugly one at that.

I saw the PMS on that color chart and immediately thought of Derek Anderson last night.

except she still thinks that there's a difference between the Steeler's and Michigan yellows.

my dad taught me well. and taught me early. doesn't matter if it's matched with black or blue, but it's important to hate that dirty yellow

This is all fine but what does it have to do with the yellow in the Steelers uniform?

I can almost assure you that they are coming on here reading this stuff,it's just like a typical Bungles fan, when things aren't going so good, they seem to disappear cause they have no "hangy down things."

What is this "Bengal fan" you speak of? I thought they were only a myth.

Soooo then....just to wrap this up...what you all are saying is that the only gold that exists is the aforementioned metallic gold?

Has anyone here ever shopped for paint before?

Yikes, I just came here from mac's latest political thread, so I feel it is my duty to derail this thread immediately.

How 'bout them Bengals, eh? Has anyone compared the ratings in Cinci between the TOcho Show and the actual football games?
