The end of last season had 2 big bright spots to build on for offense - Harrison and Moore.
Getting Moore was called a steal and this guy will light D's on fire, hands of steel, can't miss a catch...
So where is he this season? Why so little looks his way? I know he came on very late last season, but there was a lot of hype around this pickup @ TE.
Is Watson just taking the playing time Moore got last season? Just a victim of depth?

I saw him drop a pass today.
LOL - The Rish will be upset with this news as well. KS just doesn't prioritize winning...

Pure politics. My guess.
He really ought to be playing #3 WR.

He had a catch today and I texted my dad in Seattle, "Wow, Even Moore still plays for us?"
He got hit good 1 time in each of the first 2 games and hasn't been heard of since. They threw the ball to Robert Royal several times today as well.

Yeah, I know he's playing - in a very small capacity - just wondering what happened to the lack of game planning w/ him.

Maybe we didnt like the match up today? Atlanta has some versatile linebackers ... maybe we thought the better option was using stuckey to seperate from the slot rather than using moore who is slower and physical ... and if the gameplan was run that ball ... it made sense to see more royal and watson in pure tightend formations then. ...
Add that to the fact that he might have been being eased back in with concussion symptons still.. (if he has any?)

your close... but it's that Atlanta has a pass rush and we needed the blocking tight ends today.

Moore had one reception for 7 yards.

I will rephrase - not just today - the entire season.
Seems that he has been used in a very small role this season.
The guy showed all this promise at the end of last season and so far this season it seems like he's not being used much at all. And considering we have so little threats to catch the ball, why is he not being used more?
Purely b/c of the Watson acquisition and a depth chart victim? Something more? Just not enough balls to go around?

Brian Daboll happened to Evan Moore, just like he happened to JH. I think Daboll is holding this team back, plain and simple.

Watching the broadcast I have to agree. I saw several times where delhomme was riling his eyes after getting the playcall or running a play. After the game he was talking to Ryan and redman and covered his mouth to say something he didn't want the cameras to pick up. Could have been about daboll or mangini or Thomas or the fans booing or anything but he definitely isn't a happy camper and it's not just about the record.

I agree that Daboll isn't a good OC. But he also doesn't have a QB. Seneca Wallace is above average but he still doesn't do everything a QB needs to do.

Jake looked like he didn't want to be out there, He looked like a guy who "knew" hhe shouldn't be out there
did you watch his postgame press conference? its on the Browns web site..watch it...Jake looked extremely upset, and ticked off and it wasn't just about the loss either...
I think he knew Mangini cost him ANY chance of coming back this year..and thats why he was so upset.
He knew playing yesterday would result in IR for him
if he would have been able to just sit for two more weeks...Jake would have been back for the rest of the season i bet.....
yesterday i will say we should have put Colt in for one half....
he can get a little expereince
we should have put in colt and just ran the ball...not putting colt in bad situations...just run the ball..if its 3rd and long just run a short dumpoff pass..if you don't get the 1st punt...do nothing to put colt in a position to get killed back there...just run the ball
playing Jake is just another in a long line of mistakes by Mangini..big ones..

Not to disagree, but part of this whole thing is a two-way street,...
" Wallace ain't that good ? "
" Daboll doesn't put him in situations that allow him to be good ? "
" Wallace fails to execute the well-called plays ? "
" Daboll's play calling is incompetent ? "
It's a series of communication and talent calamity from any viewpoint. Issue remains though,...is Evan Moore healthy enough to contribute, and if so, why isn't he playing more. I don't know

Yes, that's what I was trying to figure out by starting the thread. I just want to know what is up w/ Moore since he appeared to be this tremendous steal late last season and is non-existent this year.

I suggest he doesn't use them when he has them. Any rummy can hand off to the middle. This team will need to run a smart set of routes to help the run. We are decidedly not enough of a power running team yet. Apparently we refuse certain parts of the field. We need a correction on this dunce's decision from the top down, or we need to be insistent that some effective variety is part of the no score in the second half yet again game plan. Demand some variety. Horrific to watch.
