Given how these two faced bimbos eviscerated John McCain and his wife, I find it hilarious that O''Reilly got them so worked up they swore and walked off the set. I guess "The View" should be renamed "Joy and Whoopi's View".

There's a video clip in the link:

Hosts Walk Off 'The View' During Argument With Bill O'Reilly About 'Ground Zero Mosque'

Published October 14, 2010

Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg stormed off the set of "The View" during an appearance by "The O'Reilly Factor" host Bill O'Reilly on Thursday morning.

Conversation during the morning show segment had turned to the so-called "Ground Zero Mosque."

"Seventy percent of Americans don't want that mosque down there," O'Reilly said.

When asked why, O’Reilly explained that the mosque was not supported by the majority of Americans because its location was “inappropriate."

When Goldberg asked why it was inappropriate, citing 70 Muslims who died in the attacks, O'Reilly said: "Because Muslims killed us on 9/11. That's why.”

Goldberg responded, “That is such bulls**t."

"Muslims didn't kill us? Is that what you're saying?" O'Reilly asked.

"Extremists did that!” Goldberg said.

As the conversation became more heated, Behar got up from her seat beside O'Reilly.

"I don’t want to sit here right now, I don’t," Behar said. "I am outraged by that statement.”

Goldberg joined her colleague and the two walked off stage.

Barbra Walters came to their guest's defense.

“I want to say something to all of you. You have just seen what should not happen,” she said. “We should be able to have discussions without washing our hands and screaming and walking off stage. I love my colleagues, but that should not have happened.”

Walters then said to O’Reilly: “Now let me just say in a calmer voice, it was extremists. You cannot take a whole religion and demean them.”

“If anybody felt that I was demeaning all Muslims, then I apologize,” O’Reilly said.

Goldberg and Behar returned to the stage minutes later.

“We’re back because now you apologized,” said Behar.

Yeah. There's just too much estrogen on that set at any given moment for divisive political discourse to end amicably. That being said, O'Reilly is a complete hate-mongering tool. The fact that he has such high ratings and a large fan base disturbs me...

Jfan...I dont't mean pick an argument, but the View is pretty much scripted television. This stunt was a simple ratings grab and they succeeded in getting everyone to talk about the episode. The fact of the matter is the folks on the show are entertainers to draw ratings. Everyone has their particular role.

Howard Stern's wife, Beth Ostrosky has been on The View a couple of time and has explained how the show operates, when she has been on Howard Stern's Sirius show. The hosts, cast, guests etc..meet beforehand and go over the topics for the show and each has their prepared way on how to deliver their lines, points, counterpoints, drama etc..Bill O'Reilly, Joy and Whoopi knew their roles for the show.

You have to remember their only jobs are to make for good television and nothing more. Draw ratings and increase advertisement revenue, it's as simple as that. This is really non-eventful unless you believe the actions were natural, whcih they were not at all.

I'll guarantee you that McCain wouldn't have gone on that show if he knew the script. That was the only episode of The View that I've seen.

Can't argue too much about that...though in reality he just does that for ratings. I have a friend that has been on the show twice regarding mountain rescue. The first time O'Reilly got a ranger from Mount Rainier to be the opposite argument of my buddy Matt not knowing that they knew each other - they chatted before the show and did a good on on Bill-O. The second time was funny as heck, Matt argued back and O'Reilly made some dumb comments and Matt rolled his eyes on camera - was great.

After both shows, Bill-O chatted him up like nothing happened and was kind of cool. Never really liked the guy, but that just showed me he's no different than any actor.

McCain attempts to avoid a great deal of television that requires on the spot thinking ... I'm not trying to take a dig at McCain, it's not a negative if one can't, but he's proved several times it's not exactly his strong suit.

Unlike some others, I'm not 100% sure the show is scripted.. ain't buying into that. I will say that they have a general course they intend to take. I'm sure that the hosts of the View have prepared questions and topics for any given guest.. That I buy,, But scripted., Nope,, ain't buyin that one.

Having said that.. I didn't watch this live and for some reason, the clip you posted just isn't working for me. perhaps it will later.

But having read the article, it's clear that O'rielly made the gaff when he said that muslims killed us on 9/11.. that was a sorry and clear attempt at hate mongering..

Further, the walkoff by whoopie and the other woman,, walters was right.. they should have stayed put and argued thier point instead of walking off like spoiled little brats..

But please,, Don't ever try to tell me that O'rielly is anything more than a complete idiot..

the title of this indicates that you think that O'rielly got the better of them,, and to a point I agree.. But if you agree with O'rielly,, I've got no use for your thinking...

But it gets ratings. O'Reily, Beck, Olberman and the like have higher ratings and book deals than someone like Charlie Rose. The obnoxious get ratings. The clear and level headed do not. Even CNN debated about how they can get more entertainment on there channel so to speak.

I happened to watch that part of the episode if for nothing else than to see that idiot Behar get all worked up and true to form she did.

That being said I think it was staged to the point where they, Joy and Whoopi, saw an opportunity and took advantage of it. They came back on set too quick--he said he was sorry.

If it was not scripted prior to (Joy and Whoopi collaborating and waiting for an opportunity), or just stage theatrics, then someone back stage chewed their rear ends out.

I have a general question.
How many tens of thousands of followers, how many dozens of base camps, how much support from governments, how many people dancing in the streets at each success, does it take before the terrorists are seen as something OTHER than Extremists?

These people are not isolated nutjobs. They have widespread support. They will not be defeated until that support is no longer forthcoming.

The terrorists are ALL Muslims. The people who feed, clothe, and house them are ALL Muslims. The people who knew about the upcoming attacks and could have saved thousands of lives but did nothing are ALL Muslims.

He made a gaff and would have apologized for it quicker had he not been shouted down by 4 liberal biotches with a combined IQ of an endtable. Thank Goodness for Barbara who remained civil and actually called out her co-hosts.

he didn't win the argument but he exposed them for the whiney left wing little shills that they are.... but then that's what they've always been, so I have no problem with it and have to wonder why O'Reilly would go on a show like that..

Because not all democrats are dumb... I think O'rielly is an idiot..

And it's apple and oranges.. When you call Democrats, Dumbocrats, you are saying all Democrats are dumb.. When I call O'rielly an idiot, it's just him.

It's like O'rielly not seperating Muslims from Terrorists. Saying that Muslims killed americans on 9/11.. While technically correct, Not all muslims are terrorists.. it's inaccrate and tends to be inflammatory with barely any basis in fact.

But, your right for calling me out on this.. I'll do my best to refrain from that sort of thing again..

Daman, from the "dumbocrat" thread you said the following:

Quote:

See, even when you agree you still insist on insulting people that don't think exactly like you........

Republican'ts was a joke. I hate that handle as much as I hate your DUMBOcrats crap...

You want respect from people that don't agree with everything you say,, the first thing you have to do is quit with the namecalling...

Did you ever wonder why Namecalling isn't allowed on this site and many others? The reason is simple,, it's offensive..., but yet, you continue to do it..

Maybe you should try practicing what you preach.

If you can prove what Oreilly said was false, I'd love to hear it.

FYI, while I don't watch this show - I find the women on it to be annoying and whiney - they are not all liberal. Elizabeth Hasselback is most definitely a conservative.

As for this story...O'Reilly was trying to get a rise out of the 2 outspoken liberals (Whoopi and Behar). Whether he truly believed what he said or not, he said it deliberately. I don't think he expected the response he got (a cursing tirade and a storming off set), but he knew he'd get a response.

At the same time, those ladies had to know that he said those things just to get a rise of them. As the hosts of the show, they needed to rise above it.

Regardless, I find the whole situation laughable.

Whoopi and Behar came off as obnoxious.

Barbara was great. Did you watch 'til the end of that clip? Barbara ripped on Bill (called him a pinhead). Pretty funny.

I can't believe none of the above posters responded to your query or took the bait because that's a wild question you ask.

I know in Palestine, they danced in the streets when the towers fell. I know there are over 1 billion Muslims worldwide. I am sure they are not ALL terrorists/terrorist sympathizers.

How can you know if he, or anyone else, is an idiot if you don't listen to anything they say?

You know as well as anyone that a person's soundbytes can be taken out of context, yet you call them idiots, based on a couple of snippets.

You also lambast people who call members of 1 Party a derivative of "Dumb" ..... yet crucify members of the media and political commentators as idiots.

So ... I guess that it's OK to call people idiots as long as it's someone you think is an idiot ..... but really horrific and inhuman if you might disagree?

It was misleading because he didn't add the politically correct qualifying disclaimer with it.... had he done that his comment would not have been "The muslims attacked us"... it would have been "Men, in the name of the Muslim faith, who represent only a small percentage of muslims around the world who may or may not be considered radicals attacked us... however we must also remember that non-muslims like Tim McVeigh and others have also attacked us either directly or indirectly in the name of god, either as designated with the small "g" or the capital "G".. and in such matter that Christians also throughout the course of time have committed heinous acts, reference the crusades and the salem witch trials"... now what was your point again?

He has on MANY occasions has said being Muslim does not make someone a terrorists. I've heard him say it.

Honestly, who is he misleading? Who out there in Dawg Talk land said "OMG, he believes all Muslims are terrorists and now others will believe it too?" Its to the point everyone has to wear their personal Muslim stance primer and a disclaimer around their necks before talking about the subject.

Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg Walk Off 'The View' After Fiery Exchange With Bill O'Reilly (VIDEO)

Huffington Post | Jack Mirkinson
First Posted: 10-14-10 12:55 PM | Updated: 10-15-10 03:13 PM

Things got so heated between Bill O'Reilly, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg on "The View" that the co-hosts walked off the set of the show.

The incident occurred during a fiery exchange about the proposed Islamic cultural center near Ground Zero. O'Reilly said President Obama's qualified support of the center was evidence of the "gulf" between him and the American people. Goldberg and Behar objected strongly to O'Reilly's claim.

"This is America!" Behar said.

"Listen to me because you'll learn!" O'Reilly interrupted her, to gasps from the audience.

(link to video-) http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/10/14/joy-behar-whoopi-goldberg_n_762844.html

Goldberg asked if O'Reilly was saying that Americans were not smart enough to agree with Obama's position.

"We're Americans! We agree with him!" Behar added.

Story continues below
"70% of Americans don't want that mosque there. So don't give me the we business!" O'Reilly replied.

More heated crosstalk followed, until O'Reilly said, "Muslims killed us on 9/11!" That really set Behar and Goldberg off.

"Oh my God!" Behar said.

"That is such ...!" Goldberg said. "Extremists did that!"

Behar then stood up, saying, "I don't want to sit here now. I don't! I'm outraged by that statement."

She and Goldberg proceeded to walk off the set to loud applause. After it died down, Walters cut in, admonishing her co-hosts.

"You have just seen what should not happen," Walters said. "We should be able to have discussions without washing our hands, and screaming, and walking offstage."

Walters also criticized O'Reilly for his statements about Muslims.

"You cannot take a whole religion and demean them because of what some [did]," she told him.

Behar and Goldberg returned to the set following a commercial break. O'Reilly also apologized for his comments, saying, "If anyone felt that I was demeaning all Muslims, I apologize."

Last December, Goldberg almost walked off the set after proclaiming she was "bored out of my gourd" with a segment on Tiger Woods.

And it's apple and oranges.. When you call Democrats, Dumbocrats, you are saying all Democrats are dumb.. When I call O'rielly an idiot, it's just him.

But you said namecalling really offends you and that you will not respect anyone that does it. Daman's rules for namecalling:

1.) groups - no namecalling

2.) Obama - no namecalling

3.) Individuals that Damon finds offensive - OK to call them names

Maybe we should update the rules of the pound....we can call it "the daman ammendment".

The last time you started running your mouth on here about Beck and the Tea Party you got handed your ass. Not me but other Conservatives made you look silly. Now here you go again calling O'Reilly a pinhead and idiot for putting two eletist Liberals into a corner where they acted like typical spoiled Dems and stormed offstage. Maybe you should do like O'Reilly told the girls. Pay attention , you might learn something.

Whoopi and Behar came off as obnoxious.

Barbara was great. Did you watch 'til the end of that clip? Barbara ripped on Bill (called him a pinhead). Pretty funny.

I'm no fan of either of them.. Barbara Walters is a classy lady.. I didn't see or hear the part where she called him a pinhead... that had to be funny...

Did she end it asking him what kind of tree he might be???

If everybody had like minds, we would never learn.

Good thing they walked off.

That jerk was claiming that Terrorists didn't attack the United States on September 11th but that Muslims did. That the United States is at war with Islam.

Clearly O'Reilly is sipping from the same cup as Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer.

Wow. Where exactly did he say that terrorists didn't attack America and that we are at war with Islam?
