I might be wrong in this .. but isnt it easier to snap a RT than a LT because sometimes a decent LT can still be a solid RT? I know its on a case-by-case basis as well .. but I thought thats why the premium isnt on RTs but LTs ...
Also ... I like AJ Green, but if Heckert was able to snatch up Desean jackson at pick 47 or something and then maclin at 19 I believe it was ... Id be OK to trust them to bring in a real threat at receiver.

What's going on with Robo that is holding him back?
Hated the pick when we made it. Drove me absolutely nuts.
With that said ... we do run routes that are comparable to H.S. football teams.
Where to draw the line at WR failures and O.C. failures ... I don't know. But it's been clear when re-watching games that our WR's are a little handcuffed by a vanilla offense.
Amen brother, AMEN!
Look at our routes and then watch another NFL team....night and day my friend, night and day!
But remember our OC doesn't have much to work with...

LT's are usually the best because the cover the QB's blindside. This entails having to have the quick feet to face off against often the opposing team's best pass rusher. That's why the tackle position is such a premium, you have to find a big strong guy with quick feet to line up against the opponent's best (who is coming after the QB's blindside) The blindside hits often lead to the fumbles and injuries because the QB isn't ready for it ALA Seneca Wallace against John Abraham
So yeah, usually you can take a LT and put him at RT because they're top-notch in the first place. But a RT at LT isn't as easy because you want a good pass blocker.
I like your point about the Eagle's receivers though. May be Heckert can find us a good one. I'm just looking for a sure handed guy that can get open. Of course.......I'm sure everyone is looking for that. One thing I've learned from Robiskie and Mass though, is that we need guys who get seperation, some of it might be our playcalling, but with Robiskie, I think he's just not that agile or fast. He creates little separation. That's one thing Braylon used to be able to do, but Braylon can't catch the ball (although the Jets fans love him as their deep threat). Hopefully next year those guys will get better with their cuts and routes, but I don't really see either developing as a go to receiver in this offense. I'll say though, AJ Green looks pretty good to me. I've seen him drop the ball once, but he's only a junior, and he's a big dude, gets separation, and makes big plays in the endzone. I'm sure Turk can tell us how good his hands are. I've only watched about a full game's length of Georgia this year where he's played. I
Best hands I've ever seen in college ball were Torry Holt's (out of NCState, he was amazing) and Larry Fitzgerald's. And those two guys are at a pretty high level as top-notch receivers in my book (Holt is a were now), but I'd be willing to spend a high pick for someone of their caliber

I've been screaming for more Evan Moore this year. The dude has glue on his hands (I know he missed one last week). He has the height on the smaller secondary guys. His TD catch a few weeks ago was absolutely picture perfect! He can run the slant and get in under the coverage and catch balls all day if, and I mean IF, Colt can hit him in stride. IMO, the most beautiful pass play in the NFL! He is big and physical enough to take those little guys for a ride!

Well my point about the LT / RT thing is unless there is a run on tackles ... we should still be able to get a quality starter a few rounds in .. maybe early 3rd round would be a perfect time for it?
If we have to get a Left Tackle then yeah, take the best one you can. But if you have to get a Right Tackle, I still somewhat feel like you would have the ability to choose from every one of the Right Tackles on the board (probably a good portion of the total Right Tackles in the early third) ... plus you would have all of the remaining Left Tackles whom you thought could switch to the right side of the ball ...
Sidenote: Id be all for taking an O-Lineman (or D-Lineman) with about as high as a 2nd to as low as a 4th every year though.. if not both.

No..usually the LT's,at least the good ones are better in footwork and pass protection..your classic RT's are bigger ,usually not as flexible but stronger power linemen. They can be found anywhere in a draft.

Ya know, those are all good-and-fast, hard rules to live by, until you get a left handed QB,... But, true, it is a fact of football life for the most part because I can't think of a single current "NFL level" college prospect that is left handed, and I want to say the Boise kid is, but not sure.

I should have corrected my remark..you can snag a RT easier than a LT..the better LT 's go early in the draft. However those LT's coming who do not project as such , often are used inside, instead of sliding over to RT..It happens but not that much. If you really need to get a RT as the Browns do,they need to target one and draft him.

Well the cub bard is pretty empty and what do we have to lose.
Cribbs will be missed and we are not going to replace him. NO will not have to worry about defending our Flash package. Not that it has done anything this season.
