Davis wanted out. He's done nothing at all for the team, and I have no idea why anyone is really all that upset that he's gone.

That ticks me off after that feel good story prior to the season and him saying how much he wanted to make the team. We would have been better off keeping Jennings instead.

Why get mad? Of course he wanted out. He wasn't playing and saw no playing time in the near future. I'd want out, too. His earning time in the NFL is limited why waste it sitting on the bench?

Based on the preseason there's no way we could have kept Jennings ahead of Davis. Jennings looked awful preseason.

BTW, Davis still is a FA. Wonder how he feels about "getting his wish" now?

not true. James Davis was almost immediately signed to the Redskins PS and there are signs that he might be playing this upcoming Sunday:

if you keep looking down, someone posted that the Panthers want to put James Davis on their ACTIVE roster NOW, b/c they have no one due to injury. The panthers I'm sure know all about Davis since he played at Clemson. He said he may do it, but wants to play for Shanahan as a redskin.

says it here too.
