Wow! What a soap opera they have going in Minnesota!

Guess they didn't like his post game compliments to NE and Belichick.

Very surprised too since Harvin went down during the game too. Guess he's not hurt that bad?

I can't see any reason why we'd need a drama queen on our team or someone who will only play when he wants to play.

If he's floating on waivers, I have to think we're close to the bottom because we just picked up some guys on waivers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I will say that this is totally shocking.

I mean, seriously? NE just got a good draft pick for him, and now he's available again?

How crazy would it be if NE gets him back. In essence, they'll have given up nothing and received a draft pick for nothing.

I won't say "No way" ... but I think that it is highly, highly unlikely we would look at this guy.

wow, I'd be pissed as a vikings fan for wasting picks. Does this mean that rice is back? I wonder if Moss goes back to the pats.

I think the sticking point for signing someone like him is obvious. He can run like the wind and catch anything thrown within a 5 ft radius. But he can kill a locker room and never ever will throw a block for the running back. I'd sign him as our 3-4th WR or specialist. But then again... he wouldnt be happy with that.

As the Bengals have a worse record would give them waiver priority over us, how would it look with Ocho Cinco, TO and Moss on the same team?

Oh the drama!

How can we not??? We currently have the worst WR corps in the league and no #1 reciever. Bringing in Moss gives us a legit target and will attract enough attention that Mass and Robiskie may actually be able to make some plays and improve their confidence and their game.

YES to Randy Moss. Even if its just for this year.

Forget imploding ..... that team would blow apart at the seams ......

He was a malcontent on a team that is coached by Bill Belichick and QB'ed by Tom Brady and some of you want to bring him to Cleveland? How do you think he would do with the Delhomme/Wallace/McCoy combo? He'd be like a Scud missile fired directly at our locker room.

Stay away.

Because he's better, even when he doesn't want to play, than any of our current WR by a ton.

For the rest of the season, I say take a chance on him. As was posted above, it'd be an 11 game rental. If it buys us a chance at a couple more wins, I say why not - its worth the risk. And if he's a punk, we can release him as well.

Not true. Even though our WR's are crappy, they will at least run their routes and block.

Wow, that's crazy!

He's a vested veteran, is he even subject to the normal waiver rules, or is he immediately an unrestricted free agent?

My guess is that he ends up back with New England. I'd be beyond shocked as hell if he came here.

dont ask him to block. run to the opposite side of the field as him or take him off the field on running plays. all he wants is the ball and i dont see why we would not throw to him lol

WOW,, When he was drafted by the Vikes, he was a problem child,, went to the Raiders,, was a problem.. during his time in NE,, you didn't hear a word from him.. just on field production,, couple of weeks back with the Vikes and he opens his mouth again and gets cut..

Belichick and Mangini are similar in how they treat players,, I'm betting that if he came here, he'd behave himself....

For a short year rental,, I'd do it.

With the Pats coming up,,,I'd love it.

The guy is a head case, but he is still a deep threat.

That being said, he doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would really fit into our new "team first" approach.

Depending on how badly Chad Johnson is hurt, I could see the Bengals giving Moss a shot. I'd love to see it.

The following teams have worse W/L records than us, so they'd have dibs:

Buffalo
Cincinnati
Denver
Dallas
Carolina
SF

Some of those have the same number of wins, but more losses (due to bye weeks), so I'm not sure how that'd work.

In order for a team to bring in Moss, they are going to have to have a powerfully strong presence at QB to keep him in line.

He will probably find a job somewhere .. and will probably be a disaster wherever he winds up.

I did think that his approach to future press confernences, where he would only answer questions that he, himself asked, was creative ...... Gives a whole new meaning to athletes speaking of themselves in 3rd person.

I could see Tampa Bay taking this guy. Look at all the headcases they have taken. Legaret Blount, Mike Williams, Winslow. With Freemen's cannon, and a young coach like morris, tampa seems like the perfect fit.

Any team that claims Moss must pay the rest of this year's salary. Which is...$6.4 million.

If he goes unclaimed the Vikings pay the rest of his salary and he's free to sign with anyone.

Just answered my own question: He is indeed subject to the normal Waiver system, so he can be claimed by any team... WOW!

Wouldn't it be funny if he ended up back in Buffalo??

Didn't think so... so unless he passes through waivers he'll have no choice where to go this year... awesome... I'm hoping Buffalo gets him!

but as someone said above I think Tampa would be most likely.
