Cowboys are done and you can't trust any skill players on the Pats. I say do it, especially since Manning/Giants are on fire and if the bears lose cutler could go into meltdown mode.

Witten is going to get a lot of looks from Kitna, though so losing Witten was the thing I was hesitating about.
But, I like my chances with my QB and RB's being..

I haven't seen how Olsen's been doing, but is Ben Watson available in your league? Usually in the leagues I've been in there are always quality TEs.

good trade. like Eli for fantasy because he is predictable. great against bad defenses, terrible against good defenses.
he will score well in weeks: 10,11,13,15
he will stink in weeks: 14,16
tossup weeks: 12 (JAX)....maybe this week against Dallas, but he should score well by standard metrics

What do you guys think of Boldin for Palmer straight up? I have Brady as my starter at QB and I could use some consistency at receiver (currently I have Crabtree and DeSean Jackson as my starters)

Carson Palmer? Seriously?
Carson has looked terrible this year (yes, I realize he's been decent for fantasy purposes because he puts up numbers once the Bengals are down 20+ points but even though they are the Bengals you cannot rely on that continuing)
I would do this in a heartbeat and never look back.

People are too hestitant to give up backups, IMO.
If you have a QB who is going to start every single game for you, regardless of matchup (Brady, Brees, Manning, etc), why wouldn't you give up your backup QB for a chance to improve somewhere else.
In one league I have Peyton Manning, and I had Matt Ryan on the bench.
I gave up Matt Ryan for DeSean Jackson.
DeSean averages 10.4 points a week, and Matt Ryan averages 19.8 points a week.
So if you just look at it that way, the other guy got the better end of the deal. But, since Ryan was NEVER going to be in my starting lineup anyway, I did it. Why not?

You are right, I did the trade. Don't know why I even questioned myself. Brady is never going to be benched in favor of Palmer, so why would I hesitate. Thanks guys. Just needed a nudge

And that is a retarded way to look at the value of a deal, no offense.
Most leagues you will see the QB's all littered in the top overal scorers as they avg more points collectively than the other positions typically.
Also most leagues only start 1 QB vs multiple WR. Which makes D.Jacksons 11 pts more valuable than Ryans 19.
Obviously there are many leagues which score things different and may even start 2 QB's but typically just going by a straight point total comparison isnt a good way to see who "got the better end" of the deal.

you guys are both saying the same thing. it's kind of like waste 19 points on your bench or get 10 points more a week by trading that 19 points on the bench. the other guy might have a QB that isn't giving him 19 points a week so it's really a WIN-WIN trade.
