Did Eotab die? This used to be his weekly thread and honestly it was my favorite weekly thread. It always shared things us out of towners could value.

It always made me laugh when someone would post a "what I saw" thread before him, then there would be a mini quarrel over it

I think he's still over on the main site

He is. I still chat with him from time to time.

That reminds me I haven't been over there in a month or so. I think i will go over and throw 15 cents worth of opinion around....5 cents worth in three threads.

There was a HUGE "to-do" over the "what I saw" versus the "post-game thoughts" thread, so somebody decided to take their ball and go home.

I greatly enjoyed that thread for many, many years. However, I could care less about who started it or who "owned" it. There was perhaps a bit more specific play analysis but it was not really largely different from what we have now.

Personally, I found the whole thing childish and juvenile. Redundancy added for emphasis.

i enjoyed eotab's thread a lot as well, but as with Nelson, i remember the "i'll take my ball and go home" fight and subsequent last thread. it was an in depth analysis and i enjoyed reading it.

Eotab still does the "What I Saw" thread every week on the main site. Just doesn't do it here anymore.

He got upset because he wouldnt start the "What I Saw Thread" until late on Sunday or some times even not until Monday, so people wanted to talk about the game right after and started the What I Saw Thread early and that ticked him off. So then instead of doing that some started doing the post game thoughts thread and that ticked him off so he wrote a pouty, dramatic good bye post, and hasnt been seen since.

I enjoyed reading his posts, but to get upset and leave because he didn't have the monopoly on starting game review threads is ridiculous.

Not to be ignorant, but why doesn't someone just put up a thread every week called, oh I don't know, maybe "What I Saw"?

Seems a lot of people liked the thread and miss it - start one up, problem solved.

"post game thoughts" which various people start up every game is pretty much the same thing. people unload their thoughts and gripes.
