Unless there is a rookie pay scale in the new CBA that is applied to this year's draft class. Then they are set.
They will probably end up trading one of those picks for a 1st rounder in 2012 anyway.

The thing is unless a CBA gets worked out before the draft, they will have no idea if that is the case. They will likely trade some of the picks for future picks, or use some to trade up for a player or two they want. Brady is 33 though and they have a good young base of talent. Fitz might be a guy that they would look at and deem worthy of giving up a pick(s) and possibly a player to give Brady an elite weapon through the rest of his good years at QB. It's not really the Patriot thing to do, but Fitz is at the very least a top 5 WR in the league through the length of a 4 year contract. I wouldn't be surprised by a team like San Diego going after him either.

Maybe, like some of us, he sees us as a team on the rise.
Maybe he sees an oppertunity to be a real game changer here.
Maybe he wants to play a leadership role and mentor at this stage of his career.
Maybe he doesn't dispize Gini the way you do.
Maybe, just maybe he wants to be affiliated with people like TH and MH.
