I can agree with that. I also gotta say that I'm really unhappy with the way the Cavs have been playing. They came out on fire, then once the intensity dwindled they've settled for jump shots and let Wade or LeBron waltz to the basket untouched.
they just don't have the finisher. it sounds like we're a bitter group, but honestly, this offense is missing lebron, like everything else is in place, but the 3 is so incredibly weak.
it is what it is. it's not like they aren't trying or aren't ready, they just aren't that good.
They've been sorely lacking on the defensive end, especially around the perimeter. That's not on missing LeBron, its on poor defense. They collapse everyone whenever someone gets dribble penetration, and that leaves wide open three attempts. Watch James Jones...he's setting up a tent in the corner on the offensive end, and he's outscored just about anyone on the Cavs.

man this team blows, i'm really surprised we won 7 games...they absolutely didn't get up for this game...Miami looks horrible and we can't even score on them. Parker, moon and graham are straight up scrubs, everyone playing scared...sad. Only boobie and antwan got up for this game and hickson. even though hickson has the worst hands in the nba. I would love to see sessions play point over mo, slide mo over to the 2, problems with size then.. we have quite a few holes, i was hoping for some hard fouls on the heat...nothing...

Yeah. Screw Gibson. He's yucking it up with LeBron while his team is getting its ass handed to them by 20.
Haven't seen a hard foul yet. It's like they're afraid that if they foul hard on LeBron or Wade they'll get their hands slapped or something. It's pretty much downright sickening.

Made me absolutely sick seeing Boobie laughing it up with LeBron over near the Cavs bench.
Do the Cavs realize they weren't good enough for LeBron? This whole game has been one big disapointment along with the crowd.

Miami is a much better team and the Cavs cant' handle pressure, while LeAss generally does well in pressure, Boston game five excluded.
The more of a blowout this becomes, the more likely some fan is going to charge the court and punch the guy. This whole thing is just sad and sick. Watching that guy laugh - he's the most egotistical clueless guy on the planet. I seriously hope and pray that something terrible happens to him. I hate him.

At this point I think I can say I'm more upset with the players on our team than I am with LeBron. Talk about one giant reaffirmation of the country's notion that Cleveland is just a lousy sports city.

Apparently you're not familiar with the Cavs' third-quarer M.O. of getting outscored by 15-20 points. I predict the Cavs down 30 going into the fourth, and a fistfight in the stands.

The Cavs are a gutless, heartless, worthless, crap of a team. Yes they are not as talented as the Heat. Yes, they don't have any inside presence. But the way they are laying down and joking with LeBron makes me want to throw up.
LeBron James went on national TV and told the Cavaliers players that they were garbage. Their response: come on into our house, and we'll bend over for you, laughing and chatting all the while at the Cavaliers bench. If I'm Byron Scott, I would feel like cutting about 5 players tomorrow. If this is the new NBA, then I would rather watch curling.

i feel ya. i'm just so disappointed that these guys couldn't get up for this. the crowd has been amazing. they're down 30 and still kind of into it.
i know people don't want to hear it, but at least we have the browns, and at least they don't quit. at least we can count on those guys to show up every sunday.
i feel for byron scott. he's a saint if he sees this thing through.

No kidding ... if this is the kind of effort they're going to put up ... just move the team to Seattle now. The least one of them could do is punch Lebron in the face and at least give the fans SOMETHING to hang a hat on.

Not only were they NOT interested in playing physically and being intimidated, but they wanted to laugh, hug, high five, whatever with LeBron. They're probably all gonna go party at LeBron's house after the game.

Me too. I have given up on the Indians, Cavs, and Browns probably a 1000 times in my life, and I'm always back for the next one.
Trouble with this Cavs team is I really don't have much respect for them. They let LeBron figuratively spit on them and still go and have a laugh with him. What ever happened to pride or competitive fire??? This time, I legitimately will lose my Cavs schedule and take a few weeks away from watching them.

And the murder of professional basketball by one man is complete.
This team has to be completely torn apart. The only guy I'd keep is Varejao. The rest have been mentally destroyed by Lebron. Hickson is gutless, Williams is a choker, Gibson is soft, Jameson is old, as is Parker, and Moon is just bad. Anyone who played with Lebron, just get rid of them. They are damaged goods.

Starters are gonna have to score more than 28 points if they want to win a game. Hickson is still playing like crap. Scored six points in the first couple minutes and hasn't done jack since (including zero points). LeBron had more in one quarter than any of our players for the game, and nearly outscored our entire starting five in one quarter by himself.
I'd start trading off anything of value by the first of the year.
Players that are benched for the next game: Jamison, Boobie, Jawad, Parker

those guys don't care.i think mo cares but he just isn't great.
if you can't get up for a game like this with the atmosphere and the world watching, what the hell are you going to get up for???

yeah its pretty sad, i told my brother before the game we will probably lose by 35..just because we really have noone..and i mean noone..our bench outscores our starters every game, yet, our starters are still starters. i haven't watched a game in a month and this was the first one i've turned on really to just see what the crowd/lebron was going to do. i turned it off after 6 minutes into the seconds quarter, i knew it was over then, the cavs just are a bunch of damn marshmallows, if you're getting abused inside by chris freaking bosh and Z..you shouldn't be in the nba. I can only handle 1 cleveland sports team per season, and its' def. the browns, the only real team we have left. I agree, just blow this up..start over

Post game thoughts..
The crowd seemed great in the beginning then the enthusiasm died as the team slowly rolled over.
LeBron yucking it up at the Cavs bench during every dead ball needed to be stopped. SOMEBODY on the Cavs bench needed to put a stop to it. Stand up with some angry emotion and point back to the Heat bench and tell him HE DOESN'T PLAY HERE ANY MORE. I think this showed a couple things.. 1. LeBron is as immature as I expected he was and he really doesn't get it. He has lived in a bubble for 7 years with his yes-man buddies and the rest of the world telling him that everybody loves him. 2. The Cavs are afriad of LeBron as a team and as men.
How the Cavs respond to this game will be a big indicator of where this season is going.. Last night might serve as a wake up or last night could be a demoralizing nail in the coffin as to what this team is without LeBron.. Up until now they have probably played slightly above their skill level but I have a feeling that last night changed all that. I think this team could fold like a cheap tent.
But in short I'm glad its over, I can now go back to essentially ignoring the NBA. I thought I was over it and could watch this game without a lot of passion but the more I watched the Heat pull away and the more I watched LeBron spending every dead ball at the Cavs bench, the more I really really really wanted somebody to get LeBron on a break and hard foul his ass into the 6th row and have him come out limping badly.

Well said. Didn't, & haven't watched, ANY NBA since the announcement, avoided the highlights. Watched the college football game. Won't watch the NBA again for a long, long, long time I suspect.
I wouldn't acknowledge James passing him on a sidewalk.

I am so glad I worked yesterday evening. I don't know why anybody would spend a dime of their money to go watch the cavs. I had a feeling this would happen. I won't be watching the nba for years to come. For what?? The league is controlled by losers like Lebron James. Maybe Gilbert could bring hockey to C-town.???
I am even sick of college football. The bcs has really sucked the life out me to follow that sport as I have in the past. I get more pleasure watching high school football. Can't wait to go to the championships tommorrow.

first basketball stuff:
if AV EVER makes a tip-in on an offensive rebound, I'm going to jump for joy. he learned how to get his hand on the ball from Z, but he sure doesn't have Z's touch.
Hickson came out so energized and reminded me why I like him so much. He was everywhere the 1st quarter and would not be denied the ball even if it made him make a few stupid mistakes and caused a couple turnovers because of it. i'll take hustle-mistakes. Then, he went to the bench for a rest and when he came back he had no energy and just settled for jumpers and didn't bother rebounding on either end. HICKSON!!!!!!
Mo is the worst passer at PG in the NBA. Miami knew it too. Knew a starting-PG in the NBA couldn't pass out of a double team unless he had a complete bail-out player. Knew he couldn't hit the guys cutting to the basket, so they left that lane open so he could throw it into the stands. I love his passion, but I hate his forced shots, forced passes, and lax defense. At one point Reggie noted that Mo was our high scorer at the time on 1/7 shooting for 9pts with I believe it was 5TOs and 4 ASTs at the time. Ugh!
Boobie was weird last night. On the basketball side, he was able to hit a couple jumpers in LeBron's face. The times he guarded LeBron he didn't let him get anything easy (though LeBron shot over him a couple times, I'll take that). He got into the lane with ease. His only problem last night was the main problem with his game. He can't finish a friggin' layup.
I liked Sessions last night. He was willing to take it to the rack and run into anyone that got in his way. His defense is terrible, but so was everyone else's (outside of AV and Boobie)
Moon, Parker, Hollins - just go away. I'll take 2nd round picks for them right now and bring up whatever D-League Allstars want a shot.
Graham was basically invisible last night. And that meant he was one of our better players (not really, but I'm angry)
now, the other stuff:
big 'ups' to the fans there. nothing thrown. lots of stuff easily heard chanted and only one of them was a pure obscenity. really, about the best behaved while obviously passionate that it could have been.
Jamison made me mad in pregame when he went over and gave LeBron a hug.
LeBron went over to the Cavs bench and most people ignored him. He looked like he sort of 'forced' Chris Jent to give him a handshake (Jent initially looked like he wanted no part but he did stick that hand out when LeBron did first)
then, it just go weird. LeBron yacking with guys on the court who were smiling back. LeBron talking with the players wives behind the basket during one of the 1st half TO's. LeBron talking with those 2 girls behind the Cavs bench before the 2nd half (that's not where the wives sit, is that where the mistresses sit?)
LeBron and Boobie....Boobie and LeBron. He was making me really mad last night. Dang, the whole friggin' team looked like they were still buddy buddy with him and it made me mad (outside of Mo who I never saw acknowledge LeBron in any way. so he's got that going for him)
so glad Barkely called the team out for it because I was getting sick over it. And I think that was partially what killed the fans vitrol. Not only was the team rolling over to let the Heat walk all over them but they were laughing with LeBron while doing it. Byron didn't look happy and that was mentioned as well, but he sure couldn't stop it.
Well, good thing this all happened before December 15th (really the opening of NBA trade season). Plenty of time to gauge offers and figure out what to do. I'd like to keep JJ and Boobie. Everyone else can find a new home if we can get a decent deal for them (and I'm mad again that we didn't demand Beasely back in the sign-n-trade for LeBron).

jc....everything that could ruin the game experience for a Cav's fan happened last night. I used to like watching the Pistons and Cavs on occasion....never really a huge NBA fan. I won't watch again unless there's some drama in the playoffs.

Agree with everyone who says to gut the team and start over.
You can tell the players could care less about the fans and the city of Cleveland. Not being able to feed off the crowds energy and talking to LeBron like the whole fiasco never happened. One of the worst performances I have ever seen in NBA basketball.

Honestly ... this was sort of like watching Game 5 of last year's playoff all over again. Except the whole team quit and mailed it in. Like I said last night ... I almost feel like we should just auction the team off to Seattle, because I have no desire to watch the Cavs right now.
The crowd was into it ... even if TNT had to mute the noise and blur the chants so you couldn't make out words ... and the Cavs responded by doing eff-all, outside of yukking it up with Lebron. I actually have respect for Mo Williams, cause he ignored Lebron, and acted like he was trying to beat him ... I just wish he had a bit more talent.
Gilbert, please blow this thing up and hit the reset button. We're going to need a few years of top lottery picks if you want to be on top again.

Absolutly,, it's going to take at least 4 or 5 years, but gutting and starting over is the way to go...

The way its being hyped on ESPN already (which is what led me to start this thread even though I don't give a tiddly about the NBA) makes me further wonder how many times are they gonna replay shots of that one hour special?
What's the over and under in minutes into the telecast do we get to see "The Drive" and "The Fumble" capped by the "Decision" somewhere in some "Cleveland Sports Fans Disappointments" montage.
TNT did not disappoint with this. Thanks TNT.
Also in another thread I said my fear was that the Cavs would be too buddy buddy with LeBoob to play him hard. Unfortunately I was right. I turned it off at the half when I kept seeing the Cavs talk with that tool. They let him feel comfortable and they paid the price.

Half of the guys being buddy buddy with him probably are trying to stay on his good side so they can play in Miami next year for league minimum after the Cavs blow this team up.

That last night was an epic fail of enormous proportions. "Wild Thing"?... my ass. Glad you were able to get your hug on. Boobie?... sure, you can shoot - I just hope it's not in Cleveland for very much longer. You get your Holiday plans all worked out with your boy? Jamison... wow. Father time called, said it's time to hang it up. My God man, I was an abysmal middle school basketball player years ago but I could at least hit the rim with a shot.
I can't imagine the effect that last night's game will have on ticket sales in the future/ TV-radio ratings for the rest of the season. Clearly, ticket sales would drop big time next year unless we shocked the world and played like last year - but to pay money, sit there and watch your team "hug it up" with "Villian #1" and display the worst level of heart I've ever seen from any team why would anyone but tickets for this year or season tickets for next year? I know I'm done giving a damn about this team until several players are gone and I can't imagine I'm the only one. Mr. Gilbert had a problem on July 9th - he's got a big problem now on December 3rd going forward.
I've never been more disappointed in one of my teams than last night with the Cavs. What an absoute joke of an effort.
Props however to the good and sensible people of Cleveland. You brought it last night and were not rewarded at all but I think we can all hold our heads up high as Clevelanders today - not as Cavalier fans.
