First, congrats to Shep for winning the "regular season", we'll see how you fare with the bowls.

Now - all are welcome to join the pick em league for the bowls. It's set for confidence points instead of straight up picking winners... makes for more strategery as the bowl season rolls along. Here's the info...

(That's something subliminal for everyone to think of while they're signing up haha)

First bowl game is December 18th so it'll be here before you know it.

Done. Wasn't easy, but I think I'll finish near the top.

I'm in and will likely do as well as I have in the Dawgtalkers Pick 'ems. In other words...last.

Every year, the first 8 weeks or so, I put a lot of thought and time into my picks. And, invariably, I suck.

So, the last few weeks, I take about 10 seconds. I just click on random ones or wherever my mouse takes me. And, I haven't had a less than 8-8 week since.

Awesome ... I'm the only one who has not picked a winner yet. This is not looking good for me.

You're on the board now!

Rogue seems to be the only one who's missed any high point games so far.

I won't miss any high point games until late in the bowl season. I just left the confidence points 'as is' so that no matter how bad I pick early, I could still pretend I have a chance

I did that for the most part. I moved a few up near the top that I thought would win for sure like Boise tonight. I'm sure they'll lose now since I said that though...

if they do win, did they beat a MWC team or do they get to add another Pac10 scalp to their wall (since Utah is a Pac10 or Pac12 team next year)?

A lot of people - including this guy - lost their first big number with Tulsa crushing Hawaii.

I started moving teams around then decided just stick to the original order. I rather come from behind at the end instead of using up all my big points early

Update heading into the final four games...

Personally, I got killed by Nebraska and Arkansas. I was going to pick Arkansas no matter what but had to use a big number on them in the end because I figured it was my only shot - thought most of you bucknuts would pick OSU. So... oh well, maybe next year. I do have a new strategy thanks to some of you - just leave the points alone and pick the games.

Top 5 in terms of Max points available...

1. Jesus Christ, 475 points.
2. little havanas, 474 points.
3. brownsfansince79, 460 points.
4. TopDawg16, 440 points.
5. shotty66, 439 points.

1. I have no clue what confidence points are
2. I don't know how I will feel if I end up beating Jesus Christ.

Might be the hardest I've ever laughed at reading something on here, lol. I can assure you - you wouldn't be beating the Jesus Christ.

You should feel pretty comfortable with it Shotty since I'm pretty sure you've beaten me in every single contest ever presented on this site.

For future reference... There are 35 bowl games so the games get numbered 1-35. Let's say you were most confident that Ohio State would beat Arkansas you would have that as your 35 point game. Least confident that Nevada would beat Boston College?... you'd have that as your 1 point game.

Make sense?

Down goes Jesus! Down goes Jesus! lol

No one from the board ended up winning - a maroon that I used to work with was the winner by picking Auburn last night... oh well. Thanks to all who signed up, hope to see you again in the college pick 'em next fall.

The Final Top 5...

1. little havanas 474 points
2. Jesus Christ 440 points
3. brownsfansince79 425 points
4. TopDawg16 424 points
5. O-H! I-O! 416 points

And in last place - I mock because I respect as a fellow Toledo guy -
19. Punchsmack FTW 253 points with only 14 of 35 games picked correctly. Dude, you're better than that haha.

Thanks again!

Ha ha ha ha.....Well, I revised my selections near the middle of the bowl season to pick all the underdogs....it was the only way I could have come back near the top. I had Auburn, Nevada, and Ohio State but flipped them late.

I ended with a good run. I was around 11th/12th and got every game right from the Fiesta Bowl till the end to end up 5th.

Nebraska losing to Washington for 34 points was my big loss, but I'm sure most people had Nebraska with pretty high confidence points.
