Well, I didn't see anything that was 100% to overturn that call on the field ..... but I guess they did .... somehow.

I told my wife after that freaky play that Oregon should just give up a TD and try to tie it with almost 2 min on the clock.

Coulda sworn that when your wrist touches the ground you're down. Too bad for Oregon.
It wasn't as close as the one against Ohio State, but I thought it touched too.

Well, congratulations to Auburn. Good game ... probably because I didn't give a damn who won.

Wasn't there a similar call in the Philly/GB game where a players wrist was determined down in a very similar situation? Think it was that game....
Kinda disappointed that a fluke like that helped determine the game; good game though.

Boring game until Matthews forced the fumble, then it got real exciting real quick. Then a fluke ending. Oh well, glad I had no horse in the race!

Entertaining game. I'm not a betting man but I told my son last week that if I was, the best bet on the board this past week was to take the under.... no way were these teams going to combine for 74.5 points.
I hated the play in the last drive. It was the right call by the rules but I still think if you make the tackle and control the ball carrier and take him down to the point where all or most of his weight is resting on another player, he should be down.
Brent was exactly right with what he said about the DL... they are so big and so quick and so athletic... how many plays inside the redzone did Oregon waste running into the middle? In the end that well may have cost them the game.
Did I hear Kirk Herbstreit say that one team had another teams defensive players in the crosshairs? Doesn't he know the ramifications of that?

BREAKING NEWS: Oregon's o-line has reportedly filed a case against Nick Fairley and the Auburn d-line. Charges for Rape pending.
Now that's funny!!!
Rumours speculate Ben Roethlisburger is in attendance to watch.
LOL had me almost in tears with that.
Congratulation to Auburn and the SEC.

The bowl pool I was in at the bar, I had 48 points for the total score for tiebreaker. I was pretty close!

Oregon had some outstanding play calls, and then some that left me scratching my head. The 4th and 1 at the goal line was a bad play call, IMO. It just looked like Auburn was ready for it. If they'd done a little misdirection, I wouldn't have been surprised if their guy walks into the endzone.
The plays at the end were crazy. It seems that there have been a number of plays like that lately where the tackler brings the runner down on top of himself, but the runner never touches down.
Just goes to show you need to tell your guys to not let go until you hear the whistle blow.
*Edit* And that DE/OLB for Oregon, Rowe I think his name was? That guy got burned a lot on passing plays. Maybe he was expecting help, but his pass "coverage" really hurt the Ducks. Also, he looked like he was about 45.
Cam Newton didn't do anything to make me say "wow", but he does throw a really nice ball.

It could have been worse. Oregon was outmatched, but their kids hung in there. Good game.

Agreed. It was a really fun game to watch.
Makes me even more hungry for a playoff in D-I FBS football. Imagine the top 4-8 teams in the country facing off for a championship. Oh well...
