I am pretty happy. It's cold here in Youngstown, and windy as hell ...... but we only got about an inch of snow.  Considering that they were calling for up to 18 inches from this storm, I'll take it.

I live in the Heights and we have decent drifts but nothing too bad. Richmond Hts sucks at plowing BTW. This storm was more bark then bite for us. Sitting overlooking I-271 at 3:30am, all is slow but clear. That wind really is bad though,,makes me almost wanna quit smoking. Almost

Windy and cold but we've probably only received around 2 1/4 inches in the past 30 hours out of multiple forecast inches. The current guesstimation is for another 1-4 today. Last night was odd....left work where there was not a single flake falling, and had just received text from Christy that it was "snowing like the dickens." (it's a 12 mile drive from work to home) Halfway home, a light snow hit, and then around the 3/4 mark the road disappeared and it was near blizzard conditions for a spell with the wind and heavy snow. I'm strange, I love driving in the stuff!  (unless it's a 300 mile trip and you have to go 25mph the whole way)

I like driving in it too, well don't mind it. I do mind the other idiots on the road though. We have all been driving in it our whole lives and most people act like they are from Hawaii and never seen the stuff before.

I'll bet we have about 14 inches of snow or so in the Akron area. It never stopped snowing yesterday.

My community has a golf course. Free to me to go once a month if they have open tee times (well, part of HOA fees).
And, it's 70 and sunny today.
But, I don't golf, so it just sits there for me to look at the pretty green grass. Such a waste

Gonna be 60 today in Colorado Springs. Higher elevations of Colorado had 3 feet of snow in the past week and up to 150 inches for the season. Here in the Springs, I've seen about 6 inches of snow so far this year (that was gone in a matter of hours).
It's supposed to be hard! If it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard... is what makes it great!

We got a few inches of snow last night.  Oh well .. guess we couldn't escape 100% unscathed.

I'm not going to measure anything, but while out shoveling about an hour ago I had snow up over my knees - and I'm 6' tall. It's still coming down at a good clip.
Stupid Lake. I wish it would freeze over already.

The roads in Cuy. Falls were pretty clear this morning, so I decided to make the trip to Pittsburgh to meet with my boss. Drop off the munchkin, hit 8S to 76E with no problems. Then I got to Tallmadge and all hell broke loose. Snow was coming DOWN! There were tracks in the snow from cars that very recently not being able to keep the wheels straight, several cars off to into the median and ditches. On top of that, traffic was going about 25 MPH. No way was I making it to Pittsburgh in time for an 11am meeting. So, I got off 76 in Kent and went back home. My boss canceled the meeting we had with a store and we'll try again another day.

Hah.. shows what you know, it doesn't snow in central North Carolina, it's 35 and raining... which is worse.. I'd rather have snow... with any luck this will turn to what they call "wintery mix" around here, which is a euphemism for go get 5 gallons of milk and 9 loaves of bread because the roads might be a little icey from 6 am to 11 am before it melts and you wouldn't want to be stuck without enough bread and milk to feed the entire neighborhood for a week.

i live less than a mile from the circle, (near the walmart), and i decided to try to make it to work today. 30 minutes of digging my car out. the snow was up over my doors. they didnt even try to plow my apartment complex. got on 76 at tallmadge road and it was pretty treacherous. decided to stay home today and got off at 43. weatherman said our area got hit the worst

It's cold here.....maybe 15 tonight...no snow.....maybe some tomorrow though.
It might not be like Shotty, but then I don't live in a arid desert either.....I'll bet I can play a round before the years out, and I don't play if it's not near 50 and nearly windless.

Went out with 3 friend's had a few drink's and shot a 91  Had a good time tho.

The good news for you...most of you in the NE corner of Ohio...is you aren't supposed to get as much as the rest of us. If this thing verifies...we are SCREWED. It won't verify because it's still too far out...seven/eight days...but if it did...

I wish I could get paid to be wrong all the time like the weatherman does. Colorado Springs was supposed to get buried in snow on Wednesday...we didn't see a single snowflake.

I like it there, too. I like it year round, but especially for severe weather because I am a wuss with severe storms. They help keep me grounded over there. Of course, at times, they also help me freak out. I'm not sure where that snow map came from they posted, but I would love to show the folks here...just to watch the panic. You may have missed it, but I asked you on page 2 of this thread if we were reading the same place...since we both posted about the Metrodome roof around the same time.
