both Pashos and Yates played well before they landed on IR.
Womack is under-rated.
Would I like to see a new starting RT. Hell yes.
But IMO the OL is not the most pressing need of this team.
I think we can get a C/G with the 6th rounf pick we got from Dever for BQ.
with the 6th and 7th of our own maybe we can move up a round.
St. Clair is our weak link, bot then again he is the 3rd option.

Yep I watched as Wisky out gained TCU by 150 yards (250+ on the ground), and still lost. It had little to do with their OLine though, and a lot more to do with horrible coaching and their QB.. The OLine pushed TCU around all game long.
Against logic,the most effective armor is willful ignorance.

I'm not calling you out here............I've heard so many people talk about this hardesty guy...........who is he? What has he done in the nfl? Why are people hanging their hats on a guy that hasn't played a down for the Browns? Is hardesty the guy that had injury problems in college and couldn't play a down in the nfl?
When people say "player X has potential" it means player X hasn't done anything. That's hardesty - in my opinion. Why people are excited about an injury prone and injury proven back is beyond me.
And I've wanted to say this for quite a while - not calling you out at all.
I'll believe it when I see it. Until then, he's taking money he hasn't earned - and to me that's stealing. I doubt he'll be able to play more than 5 to 7 games next year. I hope I'm wrong.
I have to agree here with you. I sat with my friends at last years draft and shook my head at this move. I said, "Why are the Browns trading up to get a guy with injury issues and wasting picks?" "Great, bring him to a team that has many injuries every year and he will get hurt early." "The Browns could have waited until later to get this guy." My friends all laughed and said, "That's the Browns and why they are so bad."  BTW was also worried about Ward but glad he held up all season.

lets not forget the key to OFFENSIVE LINE success in 2011-2012 season
Pay attention, because this is not going to be popular, but I beleive it is true.
The Key is to Bring back All of the Offensive line that the Browns had this season.
I mean
Thomas!, Steinbeck!, Pashos!, Womack!, Lavao!, St Clair!, and Mack!,
no replacements.
No improvements, the Best way to improve this group is let them have more time together.
If they want to get better run blocking, GET A REAL TIGHT END,
But the tight ends are the strength of the Browns, so what can you mean?
Well they are the worst in the division,
What do you mean? I mean, Gresham, Heap, (steeler tight end) and Spaeth, are all better.
If you want to really improve, Get some wide receivers and a player like LeMichael James, ... a player like a rookie Ladanion Tomlinson, or a rookie Reggie Bush wouldn' t hurt either.
I mean a REAL runner threat, outside quickness threat and pass catcher out of the RB position with quickness threat wouldn't hurt either.
Don't Mess With The Offensive Line!
It is not the right time for it.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Is that a joke?
And I would take Benjamin Watson over ANY Tight End in the AFCN right now... Regardless of age....

Keeping St. Clair is the key to getting your QBs mashed.
we need a RT. getting Pashos was a joke because he is to RTs what Donte stallworth is to WRS: always injured and sucking the payroll.
WE need a real RT.

our problem was that our supposed starter was incredibly injury prone (Pashos) and our 2nd string guy had to move inside (Womack) when our starting RG from the preseason (Lauvao) was injured.
Yes, we need a RT. But not because of St. Clair. Because Pashos can't be relied on.

Fair enough. There was quite a long time where Lauvao was healed up and still not in the starting rotation. People pointed at his one poor performance (don't even remember which game) as why he still wasn't starting, but I'm pretty sure I'd take him cutting his teeth at guard to keep St. Claire out of that tackle position.
Guess it doesn't really matter now. The season is over and McCoy made it out alive.
