As a Brown fan, which game was more embarrassing to you? Todays 41pts. scored IN YOUR HOUSE by a playoff bound Steelers team, and a Charlie Frye like performance by Colt McCoy, along with all the Terrible Towel waving Steeler fans IN YOUR HOUSE chanting "here we go Steelers, here we go" brought back great memories. (The Steelers have the best fans in the nation btw!) The games were so similar, I was waiting for an idiot Clown fan to run onto the field so that James Harrison could do his thing LOL!!! Was this game more or less embarrassing to you, or about the same? Discuss.

To me, I still find it amazing that, even though we lost, the Steelers STILL suck.
I am unfamiliar with this feeling of optimism

The Steelers today do, and will always and forever, suck. They suck more than DisneyWorld full of silly straws. They suck more than an oceanful of leeches. They suck more than a Hoover vaccuum cleaner test center. And they suck even more than their fans who post here.

I'd be a lot more embarassed if we had a QB who's a perverted rapist, or a history of winning championships when half the team was on steroids. Tom Brady is gonna beat you, unless someone else does first.

I remember back in 2006 .... when I lived at my old house ....... and my neighbors across the street were huge Steelers fans ....
They decorated their house ...... wore their garb ....... oh they were rabid fans .....
Until the Steelers started out 1-3.
I remember watching the guy go out after that 4th game, ripping his Steelers stuff down .....
I also didn't see much Steelers clothing at all for the rest of that season. It was pathetic. All of thos e"die hard" Steelers fans just dropped their team like it was poisonous or something.
Browns fans are die hard. Steelers fans are "Well, as long as we win ..."

I will say this ......
This game shows the difference in pure, flat out talent between the 2 teams.
The Steelers look like they are about twice as fast as the Browns.
Just to let you know, you sound intelligent in the other forums, but you don't do so well here in the Shack.

Ooh, a documentary! Well dang, if Steve Sabol makes a little movie about Stooler fans, then I must be wrong, right? Yeah well lets see how strong Stooler Nation is when the they go a few decades without winning a title. Sure, a few of the hardcore faithful will still follow them. But the majority of the fans will bail off that bandwagon faster than a Bungal fan after Week 4. That's the thing you can't take away from us. We don't need to say we're great fans, we know it. We've been putting up with mediocrity for quite a long time, and yet every year we still come back rooting for the same team. And if you say that just makes us stupid, not loyal...well then you've proven my point

Absolutely! FYI... the docomentary is not about the opinions of Sabol, it is about the facts. You should watch it, but I know you wont. You won't be able to stand it.

You mean a Super Bowl title? Steelers did not win a title in the 80's and the 90's. That would be 2 decades.

Steeler fans have never been subject to a loser like Clown fans, therefore they have never been put to the test with regards to their loyalty toward a loser...and that's a beautiful thing!
And if you say that just makes us stupid, not loyal...well then you've proven my point.
Actually you're a little of both.

I think you are taking the "title" part a bit literally.. the Steelers made the playoffs in 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, and 97... (double digit wins in all but one of those years)... they might not have won a title but it's not like they were winning 4 games a year...

Thats why I asked. They made the playoffs in 82, 83, 84, and 89 as well. They had only 1 double digit win season that decade, but they had only 3 losing seasons..... but for some Brown fan to boast that they are better fans because they stick with a loser is stupid. Steeler fans have never been put to that test.
And that's a good thing!

He was posting here just before midnight on New Year's Eve. That's pathetic. Rather than wishing his friends and loved ones a happy new year, he was trolling on another team's message board.

So ever since the Steelers came into existence in 1972 the Steelers fans have never had to deal with a mediocre team? Oh wait, what was that? The Steelers existed before 1972? You dont say!!
Never tell me about Steelers fans being great fans, because when the team had a small down turn they were throwing beers at their QB and calling him a n....r

Get a clue Clown fan. Do those Steeler fans waving their Terrible Towels in your faces look like senior citizens to you? A Steeler fan born in 1970 would be 40 years old today. He would have to be born in the 1950's to have any recollection of the pre 1970 Steelers. Those Steeler fans you see have only known winning in their lifetimes...unlike you poor Clown fans.
The Steelers have the best fans in football period.

So they have seen nothing but winning in their lives,so how does that make them great fans? They havent had to weather bad times, and when they had slightly bad times they jumped ship.

You'll have to watch the video links I posted and find out.

Jump ship? Kinda like what Clown fans did Sunday by leaving the stadium so early?

Why is it stupid? It shows that we stick our team no matter what. A true fan supports his team regardless of the record.
Until Steeler fans can be put to that test, you cannot say that they are best fans in football. In fact, I can name a quite a few teams that have more loyal dedicated fans than the Steelers:
Browns (duh) Chiefs Packers Raiders Bears Eagles Bills
What do they all have in common? All of them are or currently have experienced long periods of mediocrity, and their fans STILL pack the seats in their stadiums on Sunday.

You kinda missed it. Never said being loyal was stupid. Try reading my above statement again. I said for some Brown fans to boast that they are better fans (than Steeler fans) because they stick with a loser is stupid. Like we both said...Steeler fans have never been put to that test.

First off, you stated that Steelers fans are the best fans in the NFL,you brought that into the conversation
Secondly, how can you say they are the best fans when they have never been tested?
Finally, I am not speaking of Steelers fans from the general Pitt area. I live about mid way between Pitt and Cleveland and the supposed great Steelers fans around here appear and disappear based on how the team does. The Browns fans stick by their team through thick and thin.

Secondly, how can you say they are the best fans when they have never been tested? Being loyal to a team that sucks is not the only criteria for being the best fans. Fan presence and how well they travel and team merchandise sales are other criteria. No fanbase make their presence other NFL stadiums like Steelers fans do. The Browns aren't even mentioned here: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-network-total-access/09000d5d811508fe/Best-fans The Browns are third here though: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview08/columns/story?id=3530077
Steeler gear sales is either #1 or # 2 every year. Browns stuff didn't even make the list. http://www.cnbc.com/id/30111451/Saints_Are_NFL_s_Top_Sellers
http://www.bizjournals.com/pittsburgh/stories/2005/01/17/story2.html

That is total nonsense. You need to stop talking out of both sides of your mouth. We both agreed that the Steeler fans have never been tested with regards to loyalty to a bad team didn't we? The Steelers worst record in the last 20 years was 6-10. So are you tellng me no Brown fans are in hiding and are currently in full force? Riiiight!

You constantly posting in the smack forum of a rival's board is pretty desperate...

Ok that was kinda funny actually.....
Admittedly, the Steelers destroyed us...but the rivalry will heat back up as the Browns get back to business. We beat them last year with a worse team...we can beat them next year with a better one.
