The guy's probably gonna be the highest paid defensive guy in history by the time he signs. Not sure that's the best way for us to spend our money given he's already 30.

agreed. let me add in that Champ Bailey made $13mil last year. Asomugha will be looking to make more than that I am sure.

I'd rather sign Champ to a lesser $$$ figure and put him at FS and go get a WR too.

Getting Asomugha would be great but realistically we not gonna pay/he not gonna want to come here. He's been on a crappy team for 7 years. He'll go to a playoff team this year. I'd say Chicago or Green Bay.

Pay through the nose for a 30-year-old corner? No thank you.

I had no idea he was 30.... it doesn't seem like he's been in the league long enough to be thirty (well, he's 29 now, going to be 30).

I think that he's still got skills though... I wouldn't give him a mega-blockbuster contract I guess, although I'm sure you could and structure it to account for a possible later move to FS and dimishing skills.... basically, front-load it big time.

Just want to point out that last year Charles Woodson had his best year at age 33.

After how they dealt with McNabb/Haynesworth I don't see why anyone would want to go there. It's a mess.

Someone will give Asomugha as much or more money than the Redskins will. And have a better situation.

If there is no salary cap don't rule out the Cowboys, whose corners were awful last year.

And he's totally rockin' it this year (or he was yesterday, anyway).

You would think this is a no brainer. Especially drafting some Young Corners...to learn from Sheldon Brown and Him would be priceless.

If that doesn't work I offer Delhomme back to Carolina for Chris Gamble.
