BTW I really think Cleveland will draft Marvin Austin.
Call it a "gut feeling"

The guys I most recently listen are from the Senior Bowl.
But yeah, I'm watching the East/West game right now. Although the actual games are pretty meaningless (unless you are B.J. Raji). The practice is what's good.
Usually NFL Network is at the Senior Bowl all week long.
What do you think of junior Tandon Doss from Indiana? Seems a little unknown but he has good measurables (6'3'' 200 lbs) and route running. If he runs below 4.5 in the forty he could blow up.

I am also a hoosier fan (not a die hard fan) so I know all about Tandon. I would not be surprised that when it's all said and done he will be the 2nd best WR in this draft class.

Quarterbacks
Andy Dalton- TCU I think he could be a surprise selection early on day two. He doesn't have great physical gifts, but teams will be interested in a QB who seems to mentally have what it takes and has shown to have pretty good accuracy.
Colin Kaepernick- Nevada (Interested in seeing how he runs a pro style offense)
»In the mold of Freeman (TB) only he struggles with accuracy. Jake Locker- Washington (Interested in seeing how he does with talent around him)
»I think the whole world is interested to see him with better talent around him.
Greg McElroy- Alabama Very under rated and under the radar, but if he falls to round 6. I would use one of the two picks we have on him or the highest rated kicker. All 3 kickers listed below are likely to be drafted And we will probably be looking for a new kicker this year. Draft or otherwise.
Christian Ponder- Florida State
Ricky Stanzi- Iowa
Running Backs-Fullbacks
Anthony Allen – Georgia
Noel Devine- West Virginia
Roy Helu Jr. – Nebraska
Kendal Hunter- Oklahoma State
DeMarco Murray- Oklahoma
Bilal Powell- Louisville
Daniel Thomas- Kansas State
Wide Receivers
Leonard Hankerson- Miami
Jerrel Jernigan- Troy Might be the best relatively unknown Talent who is an all propose threat.
Ronald Johnson-USC
Jeremy Kerley- TCU Raw as a pure WR, but is another all purpose talent who could make a nice late round selection.
Niles Paul- Nebraska
Austin Pettis- Boise State
Greg Salas- Hawaii
Matt Szczur- Villanova
Tight Ends
Preston Dial- Alabama
Lance Kendricks- Wisconsin
Mike McNeill- Nebraska
Luke Stocker- Tennessee Under rated for the position, but I think he could turn out to be the 2nd best pro behind only Kyle Rudolph.
D.J. Williams- Arkansas
Offensive Tackles
Clint Boling – Georgia
James Brewer – Indiana
James Carpenter- Alabama
Anthony Castonzo- Boston College Probably not a 1st round pick most years, but OT is not a strong position this year. He is probably the most ready to start on the blind side, but he needs to get stronger and is not the most physically gifted.
Gabe Carimi- Wisconsin (Don't know much about him but people on here have been hyping him up.)
DeMarcus Love- Arkansas
Jason Pinkston- Pittsburgh
Derek Sherrod- Mississippi State »Should be the 1st OT off the board.
Nate Solder- Colorado Struggles to keep his pads low at 6'9" and I have been less then impressed with his play, then the so called experts.
Lee Ziemba- Auburn
Offensive Guards
Marcus Gilbert- Florida
Rodney Hudson- Florida State
Benjamin Ijalana- Villanova
John Moffit- Wisconsin
Mike Pouncey- Florida (Probably not a center, but could be an above average player)
Steve Schilling- Michigan
Danny Watkins- Baylor
Centers
Kris O’Dowd- USC (Was very good at USC, 1st true freshman to ever start a game on O-Line in USC history)
Defensive Ends (Because we are switching to the 4-3 I will have my eye on all of these guys)
» All DE on this list are expected to be drafted.
Sam Acho – Texas
Pierre Allen – Nebraska
Allen Bailey- Miami Hurricanes DT in a 43 front
Jeremy Beal- Oklahoma Probably best suited to OLB in a 34.
Adrian Clayborn- Iowa Might be a better prospect for the 34 defense, but could also be a SDE in the 43.
Cameron Jordan- California My personal favorite DE, behind Bowers.
Ryan Kerrigan- Purdue To high to consider him with the 6th pick, but if we draft down and still get him in the 1st and pick up extra picks it would fill a big need. Pernell McPhee- Mississippi State Would have good value at #70 and would help fill a big need.
Brooks Reed – Arizona I like him better standing up in the 34, then in a 3 point stance at DE.
Defensive Tackles
Christian Ballard- Iowa
Sione Fua – Stanford
Jarvis Jenkins – Clemson Good value in round 3 if we were not able to get a DT in the first two rounds. Not a great need, but the value would be there.
Chris Neild – West Virginia
Drake Nevis- LSU
Stephen Paea- Oregon State (This guy was a beast all year long for Oregon State and still has room to improve with good coaching.)
»Top UT for an off balanced 43 front.
Phil Taylor- Baylor
Linebackers
Josh Bynes- ILB- Auburn
Mason Foster- ILB – Washington (S)OLB in the 43 and has good value in round 4 #101?
Mark Herzlich- OLB- Boston College (Was a top prospect before cancer.)
Ross Homan -LB – Ohio State
Nate Irving – LB – N.C. State Mid round prospect for MLB/WILB, but might also Be looked at to move to OLB.
Greg Jones – LB – Michigan State Top MLB prospect, but is versatile enough to also move outside in the 43.
Casey Matthews – OLB – Oregon (The Senior Bowl is where his brother blew up.)
»I would love to have another Matthews on the team, but he would be a reach before the 5th round.
Colin McCarthy – LB – Miami Hurricanes
Von Miller – LB – Texas A&M
Kelvin Sheppard- ILB- LSU
Quan Sturdivant – LB – North Carolina Good value in the 4th round, played in the inside, but might also be able to move outside.
Chris White- OLB- Mississippi State
K.J. Wright- ILB- Mississippi State Moves (S)out side in a 43. 3-4 round range
Cornerbacks
Curtis Brown – Texas
Jalil Brown- Colorado
Kendric Burney – UNC
Rashad Carmichael- Virginia Tech Under the radar, but he could turn out to be a steal if he last into the 5th round.
Marcus Gilchrist – Clemson
Curtis Marsh- Utah St. Deed not play in againt big competition, but has a good combination of size and speed.
Johnny Patrick- Louisville Probably not going to be there in the 3rd round, but would be a reach in round two imo.
Chris Rucker – Michigan State
Shareece Wright- USC
Safety
Ahmad Black- Florida
Quinton Carter- Oklahoma Could be the 1st Safety taken after Peterson who also could move to Safety.
Ras-I Dowling- Virginia Injuries have hurt his stock and has to show scouts he is healthy. He could be a faller in April.
Zac Etheridge – Auburn
Joe Lefeged- Rutgers
DeAndre McDaniel – Clemson
Da’Norris Searcy – North Carolina
Special Teams
Danny Aiken- LS- Virginia
Kai Forbath- K- UCLA (Very strong leg)
Alex Henery- P- Nebraska ^Kicker
Chas Henry- P- Florida
Josh Jasper- K- LSU
Christian Yount- LS- UCLA

Turk that is a great find. This guy looks great. I can't even think of who I'd compare him to in the NFL. He seems to have more top-end speed than MJD but runs with similar power.

Burfict is a stud, but just so some of the "non draft-nicks" don't get confused, he's only a Sophomore. So, he'll either be a member of the 2012 or 2013 draft class depending on when he decides to come out.

Watched NFLN's coverage of the first day of the North team's practice. These were the guys that stood out as good to me:
Vincent Brown WR SDSU great hands! snatcher. looks really big. Big enough to just be open with his size but may get called for OPI once in a while. Definitely one to watch. Titus Young WR BSU faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaast. looks for/catches the ball Austin Pettis WR BSU gets open, catches, nice moves with the ball Roy Helu, Jr. RB Neb was a nice runner at Neb, showed he can run routes out of the backfield and catch the ball -- at least in practice -- very well James Brewer OT IU beat the crap out of Christian Ballard in one-on-ones Jason Pinkston OT Pitt not particularly athletic but won his matchup with Pierre Allen (who split with Solder) easily both times Gabe Carimi OT Wis I'm not one of the Carimi guys, but he did look the best of Solder/Carimi/Costanzo the first day. Ryan Kerrigan DE Purdue Showed terrific speed moves which is different from what I was expecting from him. Beat Solder twice in one-on-ones. First was close, second wasn't. Cameron Jordan DL Cal They had him lined up at tackle and he punched right through the guard. Very impressive. Kevin Kowalski C Toledo Wow, he crunched the ND DL. Lawrence Wilson LB UConn Showed good ability in coverage but looks really small. Owen Marecic RB Stanford Nice job catching passes against Matthews & Homan Lance Kendricks TE Wisc Got open easily against a LB & a S Colin Kaepernik QB Nev Looked a lot more comfortable as a passer than you'd expect. Ran once and yeah, he's still crazy fast.

thanks for the update. i've got it DVR'd at home but didn't get to it yet. I'll pay attention to those guys.
I'm really interested in Titus Young. Reminds me of Kenny Britt coming out of college and I'd love to have a guy like that on our team.

Why are UCLA players on the North and USC players on the south? They're 10 miles from each other!

now that's a real rivalry. they hate each other so much they can't even be on the same team for an exhibition game determining their NFL future

Jake Locker just cost him sooooo much money by coming back for his senior year. He has looked pretty bad so far this week. His accuracy is all over the place and he's just not looking like a first-rounder at all... He's just not consistent. He did a bit better in setting his feet and making accurate throws this morning, but his timing is still off, he's pushing the ball too much causing it to sail a bit, and really doesn't look good when he puts more zip on the ball. He just can't put any touch on his passes and throw accurately. He has the tools, but he'll need a lot of coaching. http://nflmocks.com/2011/01/25/senior-bowl-day-2-north-squad-practice-notes/ Cameron Jordan on the other hand has been the STAR

I love Cameron Jordan. Even though the Browns are switching to a 4-3, I would be thrilled if they took him at #6. I know I'm probably the only one who thinks that, and I may be crazy, but I love the way he uses his hands and his variety of moves. I think he would be great at left end, stopping the run and getting some pressure on the QB. Plus on obvious passing downs he could slide right down to DT while Benard comes in as a designated pass rusher to replace him at DE. I envision him being used kind of like Justin Tuck for the Giants with him moving all over the line, although Jordan is bigger.
I don't think it will happen, but I am one of the few who would be happy if it did. Whoever drafts him will be getting a hell of a player.

-Cameron Jordan stole the show. He is by far the best player here at the Senior Bowl and he’s been making himself a lot of money. Jordan is looking like a top ten pick out there. Whether it be 1-on-1?s or 11-on-11?s, Jordan has been unblockable. He has made the most of his long arms and big hands. Jordan uses them better than any other d-lineman in attendance. If you had to describe the way Jordan uses his hands to manhandle offensive lineman, there is no better description than, “ninja hands.” During 11-on-11?s, Jordan ripped through the offensive line and blew up Ricky Stanzi, which resulted in a forced fumble.
Like I've been saying all along Jordan should be a top 10 pick and will be a player we could take at #6.

I'd rather have Dareus. Not taking away anything from Jordan b/c he is a good player.
Dareus is a solid prospect, but I think Jordan offers more in rushing the passer and plays behind the LOS. Also Dareus will be moving to DT in a 43. I don't think DT is as big a need.

If you are the #3 ranked DT in the draft, this sucks...
Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports Oregon State defensive lineman Stephen Paea will undergo surgery Thursday after damaging his lateral meniscus in his right knee during a practice drill at the Senior Bowl.
A magnetic resonance imaging exam revealed the injury. Initially, Paea was hopeful that it wasn't serious at all.
"I hurt it on the second play of practice, they said I sprained it," Paea said. "It sucks, but I'll be back as soon as possible. I'll get back to work and get back on the field. It could have been a lot worse."

Thanks mac,.....
Tough break..... Paea could have gone in the 1st round.
This will most likely coast him some $€¥£

ok, that's terrible for him and will cost him draft slots.
but, potentially a boon to us. i thought for sure he was a mid-to-late 1st rounder, now he could slip to us in the 2nd (if we go AJ Green instead of DL in the 1st)
lateral meniscus is generally a 6-9 month injury. He should be fine by the start of the season and a potential steal in the 2nd.

O'Brien Schofield had a similar injury at the Senior Bowl last year. He was also a borderline 1st rounder.
The Cardinals drafted him in the 4th round and put him on the PUP list. He ended up playing in every game from week 8 to week 17.
If we could get Paea in the 3rd or 4th round I would consider that a great pick.

So any chance we scoop up Paea in the 6th? Quote:
I'm really interested in Titus Young. Reminds me of Kenny Britt coming out of college and I'd love to have a guy lik that on our team.

Titus Young turning heads at Senior Bowl Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on January 26, 2011, 10:30 AM EST
Each year, a handful of players help boost their draft stock with an exceptional week at the Senior Bowl.
While it’s early in the process, Boise State wide receiver Titus Young looks like one of those players this season.
The reviews for Young’s performance in Mobile have been glowing. Jeff Duncan of the New Orleans Times-Picayune calls Young the “unanamious” best receiver in Mobile. NFL Network’s Mike Mayock compared Young to DeSean Jackson for his speed, playmaking ability, and some of the maturity questions that hurt Jackson’s stock two years.
Young was listed No. 4 in Mayock’s initial top-five rankings at wide receiver. He’s someone that could help in the return game and at receiver as a rookie.
http://blogs.rotoworld.com/Fantasy_Football/2011/01/mike_mayocks_preliminary_top_f.php
"Mayock raved about Young at Monday's Senior Bowl practice, comparing him to DeSean Jackson. Wes Bunting over at the National Football Post has likened Young to a rich man's version of Johnny Knox. "

AJ Green, Julio Jones, Terrell Smith [1,2 &3]? Would be my guess.

Wide Receivers 1. A.J. Green, Georgia 2. Julio Jones, Alabama 3. Jonathan Baldwin, Pittsburgh 4. Titus Young, Boise State 5. (tie) Jerrel Jernigan, Troy; Greg Little, North Carolina; Randall Cobb, Kentucky

Edit: I meant Torrey Smith

Ya, I wrote that before I clicked on the link, but I think that Baldwin could be a boom or bust selection.
Jerrel Jernigan and Randall Cobb are better all purpose types then pure WR's at this point, but I would take either over Baldwin.
I'm sure his list will be changing after a while like everyone else's will.

Yeah Young is right up there in the top 3-6 WR for sure. A big week this week could push him up my board a bit.
Just going off my own rankings (which will obviously get updated after the senior bowl and again after pro days etc)
1 - AJ Green (Top 10) 2 - Julio Jones (Top 15) 3 - Jonathan Baldwin (Late 1st/Early 2nd) 4 - Torrey Smith (Late 1st/Early 2nd) 5 - Jerrel Jernigan (2nd/3rd) 6 - Titus Young (2nd/3rd)
One thing to keep in mind in terms of watching the Sr Bowl though...Young is the only WR from that top 6 list playing in the game. So, he SHOULD look like the best WR there. The next best WR in the game are Leonard Hankerson and his college team mate Austin Pettis.

Wouldn't be surprised if you end up putting Vincent Brown in that top group. He doesn't have good speed but he's got awesome hands and a really big body... even when he doesn't get open there's still somewhere you can throw the ball to with him. Kinda like Mushin Muhammad.
