Have heard people with differing opinions on this. What do you think?

Where should the D-coordinator be on game day? single choice
	On the sideline motivating players and making adjustments!
	In the press box analyzing what is happening on the field!

I would prefer they watch from above where they're able to see the plays as they progress and make adjustments. I know they can get pics wired almost immediately, but still shots don't tell the whole story. However, he would have to have a lot of confidence in his position coaches to get the message to and motivate the players during the game. Lacking this, he should be on the sidelines.

Where's the "Both! They ought to be ubiquitous to keep me from complaining!" option?

In the box where they can see.

I'd say, wherever they feel most comfortable.

I go with sidelines. Strongest link to adjustments as he sees folks line up. Just hollering, especially with younger guys can help more easily than to the pressbox. Sidelines gives you a chance at doing something different before the snap. It also gives you feedback from the unit leaving the field. Manage important deals. Leave the bigger pictures to the box which needs to shot and relay.

If the DC is on the sidelines its not like we don't have ANYBODY in the booth.. there is still somebody up there watching plays, advising through the headset, sending down photos, etc...

I want him where he is most comfortable and effective, but for motivation, I think sidelines is best.

With his head in the game... beyond that, it doesn't matter as long as he can effectively communicate when he needs to.

I want him where he can see the field, up in the booth. He can relay adjustments from there. Motivation and direction would come from the position coaches, the Head Coach, and veteran players, imo.

I like them upstairs.

I picked in the press box, for the simple fact for a better view of the field.
