Poor Ol' Bungles.

http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/23728/carson-palmer-is-officially-bengalized

Carson Palmer is officially 'Bengalized'

PITTSBURGH -- As I'm getting settled in Heinz Field for Sunday's AFC title game between the Steelers and Jets, I thought I'd share a few early thoughts on Chris Mortensen's report on the trade request from Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer.

For starters, I'm not surprised by this. In December, the AFC North blog reported that Palmer would not accept a pay cut to remain with the Bengals in 2011. That was perhaps foreshadowing to Palmer's level of unhappiness. It appears things have gotten worse since then, especially since Palmer is now threatening retirement. I've seen player after player in Cincinnati eventually grow unhappy with the consistent losing. Palmer is one of the most patient and optimistic players I've ever covered, but it looks like he's officially been "Bengalized."

It will be interesting to see how Cincinnati responds to Palmer's trade request. Coach Marvin Lewis has always been the type of coach to put out fires and shrug things off (see Chad Ochocinco). But when your star quarterback wants out, that's the type of distraction that is unavoidable. The question will be asked over and over during offseason workouts and in minicamp and training camp if it goes that far.

Palmer's trade request could alter Cincinnati's draft plans. The Bengals have the No. 4 overall pick, which is a slot where the team could draft a quarterback. If Palmer is traded or follows through on retirement, the Bengals will be desperate for a quarterback. The top-rated quarterbacks in this year's draft are Missouri's Blaine Gabbert, Washington's Jake Locker and Auburn's Cam Newton.

Finally, how will Palmer's decision impact other free agents? Cincinnati will be rebuilding this year, and that process will take even longer if the team loses its franchise quarterback. Good, veteran players such as cornerback Johnathan Joseph and tailback Cedric Benson are free agents and have to decide if they want to come back to a team that probably won't win many games if Palmer isn't there. This uncertainty will be a major story to watch in the AFC North this offseason.

What's the big deal about Carson wanting to be traded?

Surely the desire to be traded has entered the minds of most Clown players...and I bet most of them would give a resounding "hell yeah" if asked.

Was you a steeler fan back when they couldn't buy a yard(or a Ref) or did you wait for them to win their first Superbowl. It's real hard to root for a winner isn't it.
Browns fans have something you will never have. Love for a team that goes beyond understanding. The Browns will have fans follow them regardless of their record. Steeler fans will jump off the bandwagon at the first sign of trouble.

Proof in point: best friend is a Steeler fan. Few years back, Steelers were having a down year, I don't see him much anymore but I seen him out and ask him if he was catching any Steeler games. His response and I quote. " No. They aren't much fun to watch right now since they are losing". This goes back to what I always say. Everyone likes a winner. In my opinion if you weren't rooting for the Steelers back before they started winning then you aren't a real fan. A fan that will stick with their team no matter what their record is. Its also obvious you're just some young snot nosed kid because anyone older has better things to do then to go on a message board for another team to talk smack. I wouldn't be caught dead posting on another teams board. I barely have time to post on this board on things I actually care about

Pssst...I was just wondering...and I've been wanting to bring this up for quite some time now -- but how were we supposed to cheer for a team if we weren't even born yet?

Your post is so full of fail.

So you mean to tell me all Clown fans are out in full force?

Secondly, the Steelers have only 9 losing seasons since 1970. You have no business judging the loyalty of Steeler fans when they have never had to root for a loser.
A Steeler fan born in 1960 would be 51yrs. old today. He or she never probably never rooted for the pre 1970 teams nor have any recollection of them.

Thirdly, what does your ignorant post have to do with the thread topic?

What does yours? This is a Bengal thread.

Case in point. My posts are ignorant. But I am posting on a browns forum and I am a browns fan. You are a steeler fan posting smack on a browns forum. I almost feel sorry for you that your life must be so meaningless that you don't have nothing better to do than post on another teams forum. (Almost feel sorry)

My point is and I know I am right. Yes your team has won multiple Superbowls , regardless of how they might have won them. But just for the sake of argument if the Steelers had never won a Superbowl you wouldn't be a steeler fan let alone crawl out from your rock to post on here. You come on here to talk smack about your mighty Steelers because they are winning. They haven't always won and the Browns haven't always lost. The difference between most Browns fan and you is even though the Browns are losing we are still here but give the Steeler fans one losing season and they crawl back under their rock next to they're Bengal counterparts. Its real hard to love a winner but if and when the Steelers fall on hard times you wont be no where around

Mike Brown is smart not to trade him, let him leave in free agency and get supplemental draft picks.

Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

Funny story about the Pirates. They called me the other day because Shep and I went to ONE game when the Reds were in town. This guy was desperately trying anything possible to sell me more tickets. Finally at the end of the conversation, he asks me "well do you know of anybody that you can pass this deal along to?" to which I replied "Umm...no. I don't know any Pirates fans."

Wrong. I'll explain it to you so you don't sound like a dolt again....

When a person says they could care less it means that they could care less -- so they care at least a little bit because they could care less.

When a person says they couldn't care less, it means they don't give a rat's ass about the subject. Get it?

Did you really expect him to understand a double negative?

Hell, to him a double negative is just the standard begining to a date night search .......
