Well coaches and front offices have come and gone since 99'. They all have said you have to build through the draft but none have done this, but now we have two gentlemen who are building through the draft and are not going for the quick fix .After watchin mikes presser today and he said they were going to be less active in free agency this is telling me these guys are serious on getting 1. younger 2. getting the playmakers through the draft and not free agency . So i guess when he says be patient we have no other choice but to be patient but i have faith in these two guys if you want proof look at last years draft best cleveland browns draft since probably the 80s

The problem with previous regimes was that you can't build through the draft if you start with very little and you are on the hot seat at the beginning of year 3... you can't give a coach/gm an empty cupboard and then expect them to hit all homeruns in drafts 1 and 2.. and that is what we asked them to do.

and we were WRONG to do it. But the problem is that they did so many screwy things, that there was a ground swell not to let them continue.

Thank God that Hope is free or our fans would be broke. But we do need to build better this way.
