You're right. I feel bad for voting 5 or so times a day. I will report my actions to EA immediately.

Hell, I thought that Madden was retired.

Wow. Could Hillis make the cover? I doubt it knowing the Madden-geeks love for Vick, but he's had his cover and how cool would it be for a Brown to get the cover?

So either Hillis will get hit with the Cleveland Curse and lose in the finals ... or he'll win, and get hit with the Madden curse.

When the Mayan's "predicted" 2012 ... maybe they meant Madden 2012?

OR....there is no 2012 season and that's how his cover curse is remembered?

I'm only voting once, like all previous rounds. I think it's going to be close to 50-50. But then again, I thought Rodgers was going to squash Hills.

EA will get more media attention with Vick on the cover (and more sales). So I'm sure they'll help the vote along. You know the saying, "there's no such thing as bad publicity" and Vick brings pub (from both sides). Hillis.....EA sees him as a non-factor.

I don't know. I think EA will get a ton of pub either way, which is what they wanted.

They don't get the standard 'super bowl winning QB'. They either get a smashouth RB who happens to be white (though EA may play differently in the media) or they will get the most controversial player in the NFL. win/win for EA here.

Aaron Rodgers not happy to lose Madden vote to Peyton Hillis

Somewhere, Green Bay Packers fans are celebrating the loss by one of their favorites.

Aaron Rodgers(notes) acknowledged as much. That, however, didn’t make it any easier for him after it was announced earlier today that Cleveland Browns running back Peyton Hillis(notes) had upset him in voting to be the next cover boy for the EA Sports Madden football game. The vote was a stunner.

“I don’t ever like losing but Peyton Hillis is a great player and he's worked hard to get to where he's at. Lots of respect for him,” Rodgers said via his Twitter account.

“GB fans who are scared of the curse are rejoicing somewhere today haha.”

Yes, there is no doubt that many Packers fans are glad the quarterback of the defending Super Bowl champions will not be on the cover. We’re betting they voted that way too.
