Well, the bad guys are taking the cup home this year. I suppose we don't want to be hogs about it, they haven't gotten to take it home in a while.

The Reds will take it back next year.

Yeah, if there's one team I don't mind losing to. It's Cleveland.

Yeah, I don't really care one way or the other about the Tribe, It's their fans I can't stand.

I don't like when the Reds lose to anyone.

Funny how Tribe fans can talk smack when they haven't won a championship since Truman was president.

Another tough loss today. Nothing is more frustrating as a fan when ownership refuses to believe the team is in trouble.

lol, that doesn't stop us browns fans from talking smack now does it?

hey, ya'll gave it to us when the reds beat the tribe, so you need to take it when you receive the bad end of a double-sweep.

i'm just having some fun though, i recognize that cincinnati is a great baseball town with great fans, and if the tribe can't win, i want the reds to do well. i've seen a game down there (riverfront) and the fans were awesome.

Would you mind finding last years threads and pointing out exactly who gave you guys a hard time? It wasn't "ya'll", I can tell you that much.

I haven't poor old Tribed much at all. Tribe fans were far too thin skinned for it. I started it in response to Indian's fans coming in to every Reds thread and starting smack. You all didn't handle your own medicine very well so I just pretty much stopped a couple years ago. I might have given you one or two last year, though.

Plus, the Tribe fans didn't return to the threads when they were on the losing end.

Have you seen the Tim Hudson clip from yesterday?

Turns out NL pitchers aren't all that coordinated either.

Coco is automatic this year.

Cards losing 5-3, Brewers up by 2 in the 5th so it's time for Twins to come back and Pitt is all over the Nats 10-2.

Nice win today, I was not watching but seen the highlights....good going Reds!

We have a tough couple of series coming up with the Cards and Brewers, be sweet to win 4 or 5 of those games going into the break.

Cueto on the mound tomorrow

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY REDS FANS!

Big series with the Cards starting tonight. Cueto goes against Carpenter in the first game. Anyone think another brawl will occur?

I just came in here to thank Reds fans for giving Fausto the opportunity to injure himself. If he misses a couple starts, then it gives the Indians a better chance at winning the division

Johnny's the hard luck loser yet again. Can this guy get some run support? Good Lord.

There's talk of Pujols coming back to the lineup tonight. While it is good for fantasy baseball it is bad for the NL Central.

We don't play well with the lead either.

Blow an 8-0 lead after 5 innings but win 9-8 in the 13th.

I wonder if the Mets would be interested in a Volquez, Renteria, and a prospect for Reyes and Capuano swap. Volquez has great stuff but a 10 cent head and i don't think he'll ever be a stud plus the Reds desperately need a lead-off hitter. I've always liked Capuano but he missed a couple of years there due to injury.

I think Reyes by himself would take more than that. Renteria having zero trade value doesn't help.

I think we would have to give up something along the lines of Alonso, Mesoraco and Wood to get Reyes. Not even sure that would be enough.

I turned it off in the 11th when I was certain we would blow it. Didn't want to watch the torture.

Unless the prospect is Jesus, that's got to be about the worst offer ever thrown out. I know that may come across as harsh and I'm not meaning it to be - but what is it about fanbases that think their 2 or 3 pieces of junk will clearly be acceptable to another team for a star or better player?

My fellow Pirates fans are guilty of it too. Lyle Overbay and Matt Diaz stink - clearly Houston would trade Hunter Pence for them. Maybe package the same two and a AA relief pitcher and the Twins will trade Cuddyer or the Padres Ludwick.

Ah trade season, gotta love it.

Anyone who follows John Fay (reds beat writer) on twitter sees some awful trade proposals (from his followers, not him).

Speaking of which, any Reds fan with twitter needs to follow him. Today he broke the news that a Zack Cozart is registered at the Reds' hotel.

Good, I'm growing tired of Yawnish.

Not that I expect Cozart to step in and be the savior but he can't do any worse than the total production our current short stops have given us. (.226 / .274 / .271 with 1 HR, 29 RBI )

While Janish has been very disappointing, he is not nearly as bad as Renteria. I simply don't see what he offers to the team. He can't hit or get on base, he can't steal and he can't play defense. I mean, where is the value in him? Hopefully he gets DFA.

Alright now I'm getting frustrated. You have a two run lead, your job is to close out the end of the game with the lead intact, NOT GIVE UP 3 RUNS CORDERO! Especially at this point in the season where wins are hard to come by for us, let alone to the team atop the division. I have never seen a major league closer (someone who has been at the position for years) throw that bad of a wild pitch. The thing hit the backstop untouched. Not only that, Ryan Hannigan throws his body in the way and takes a full speed forearm to the face from Morgan to save the game only for Cordero to walk the next batter and allow back to back hits. There is no reason we should have lost this game. This one is on Coco.

The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

While I agree with you, I think it comes down to money, and the Reds not wanting to admit they made a mistake signing Renteria. Janish has options. They owe the remainder of Renteria's contract if they get rid of him.

Yeah, Hannigan got tough as hell on that play. I thought it was our game to win after that.

Had a golden opportunity to cut the division lead down to 2 games, but Coco decided to look like 2010 Coco. He was having a pretty solid year until these last 2 blown saves.

The Pirates have to be just as upset about it as us, they were going to move into 1st by percentage points if we won. Have to go back a long way since they had 1st this late in the season.

Speaking as one Pirates fan, yes I am upset about your loss last night. Oh well, that's why they play again tonight.

Excitement abounds on the North Shore!
