O.k.it's that time..post your drafts..this year seems more difficult because of all the breakdowns of the top ten players..so be it.. well here's one of mine and I did mine based on people the Browns have actually looked at.
This is one of 3 I did.

6- Von Miller OLB, Texas A&M
37 Curtis Brown CB, Texas
70- Brooks Reed DE, Arizona
102-- Colin Kaepernick QB, Nevada
137 Allen Bailey DT, Miami
168)- Jah Reid OT UCF
172) - Eric Hagg, FS Nebraska
247- Colby Whitlock DT Texas Tech

I'll post mine on Wed, I'll make tweaks until then. I don't think Reed, Kaepernick, or Bailey last that long, but I'd love to see that draft happen.

Doing a mock draft for any time is hard as of right now.

Usually we know who the #1 pick is going into the draft. Most people think it is Cam Newton. But that is far from certain.

It seems pretty certain that the Broncos are leaning towards Marcel Dareus.

From what I've read it seems like the Bills are going to take Von Miller.

It also seems like the Bengals will take A.J. Green.

And then there is this from Peter King:

Quote:

I see Arizona picking Blaine Gabbert, A.J. Green or Patrick Peterson at five. For those who've asked about Larry Fitzgerald's frame of mind if Green's the guy, I don't think the Cards are worried. Fitzgerald won't be doubled as much with Green on the other side. And for those who've wondered why in the world the Cards would take another receiver with so many holes on the roster, remember this: As Dez Bryant free-falled last year, the Cardinals seriously considered trying to run up into the late-first round area to try to get him.

I don't they would really take Green, they are probably just want teams (like us) to think they are taking him. They could take Peterson, their defense was awful last year and they could take a defensive player at any position and be good with that. And I'm okay with that scenario. If Gabbert falls to us there should be at least a few teams (San Francisco, Tennessee, Washington, Minnesota, Miami) that could be willing to trade up to get him.

With all that said, I think my mock draft will match most people's. Without a trade I think we take Peterson or Quinn with our 1st pick. With a trade I hope we get Aldon Smith or Julio Jones.

In the 2nd round guys I think Rahim Moore, Tandon Doss, Leonard Hankerson, Jabaal Sheard, Bruce Carter, Brandon Harris, Marvin Austin, and Aaron Williams are all in play.

After that I have no clue. It seems like teams boards really differ when it gets to this part of the draft. I would be happy with any of these guys at any point in the draft. Jacquizz Rodgers, Tyrod Taylor, Owen Marecic, Virgil Green, Jordan Cameron, Orlando Franklin, Marcus Gilbert, James Carpenter, John Moffitt, Ricky Elmore, Casey Matthews, Chris Carter, Colin McCarthy, Brian Rolle, Buster Skrine, DeMarcus Van Dyke, Kai Forbath, and Alex Henery.

This is obviously more of a wish list, than who I think we'll actually take. I don't think Peterson will be there, and I doubt we take Rahim Moore, he's probably gone by then anyway, but would love to actually put the finishing touches on the secondary. If we picked up Jah Reid, Casey Matthews, Allen Bailey and/or Austin Pettis, I wouldn't really kick about where we drafted them.

6 - Patrick Peterson
37 - Rahim Moore
70 - Allen Bailey DE, Miami
102 - Casey Matthews LB, Oregon
137 - Greg Romeus DE, Pittsburg
168 - Jah Reid OT, UCF
172 - Austin Pettis WR, Boise State
247- JT Thomas LB, West Virginia

I'd be happy with any of the guys you listed, except there are two names that keep popping up on this board that confuse me.

If you (not you you... the general you) didn't like Jerome Harrison, you're not going to like Jaquizz Rogers.

If you didn't like Brandon McDonald, you're not going to like DeMarcus Van Dyke.

I happened to like both of those players, but neither of these guys are a priority for me.

Some other names I'll throw on to your (mostly) day 3 list:
Vincent Brown (3rd-4th), WR SDSU (Of course)
Vidal Hazelton (7th), WR USC/Cincy (Probably 7th rounder, could be steal of the draft)
Dane Sanzenbacher (6th-7th), WR OSU
James Brewer (4th), OT Indiana
Stanley Havili (6th-7th), FB USC
DJ Williams (4th), TE Ark (not big on taking a TE, but he's a beast receiver)
Greg Romeus (4th), DE Pitt
Chris White (6th-7th), MLB Miss St
Rashad Carmichael (3rd-5th), CB VT
Byron Maxwell, CB (7th) Clemson
Curtis Brown CB TX (3rd)

#6 Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU
#37 Jabaal Sheard, DE, Pitt
#70 Jarvis Jenkins, DT, Clemson
#102 Will Rackley, OT, Lehigh
#137 Roy Helu, RB, Nebraska
#168 Doug Hogue, OLB, Syracuse
#172 Jeron Johnson, FS, Boise St.
#247 T. J. Yates, QB, NC

It kills me that there isn't room on this board for a WR. I'm hoping a trade down in round 2 nets us an extra pick in round 3 to grab up a WR. That...or free agency, when and if it happens can be used for the position.

Mourg, I'm surprised you've got Little and Culliver in there and not Cannon. Is that how you think it will likely shake out or how you wantt he Browns to draft?

Yea it is who i think Heckert will go after.

If it was me I would go AJ green in the first and Cannon in the 2nd and I might even take Moffit in the 3rd for guard. Fix this O right then spend the rest of the draft and FA money on defense.

Oh that draft would suck. I would be so mad if we took 2 WRs back to back .......

in the video the CB from UNLV whiffed badly, reminded me of another UNLV CB we know. Heckert did draft Westbrook in Philly..

Do one without a QB...We won't take one...

Moving Reed UP to 37 from 70 is wise...

I'm majorly warming to the idea of a penetrating tackle like Fairley...IF and ONLY if Green and Peterson are gone...

We can find an End...I still think we will go after Kiwanuka and/or Johnson in FA...

How sweet would it be to have Fairley fall to 12...Do the Minny trade...Get Peterson AND Fairley...Young at WR in 3...And sign Kiwanuka...Damn...

Uh at pick 247,I really don't care who that is.
I do expect Holmy to get a QB late in the draft.
U know I don't do trade downs..it usually doesn't happen the way we want.

I cannot phathom BOTH Peterson and Green being there at 6...But I firmly believe ONE will be...

Whoever it is HAS to be a Brown...

Then comes this damn Fairley thing...lol...

All I gotta say is Fairley better be #3 behind PP and Greeny...

And WTH is this I'm seeing from Pete King about IF this particular player is there at 12...We give Minny 37 and our 2012 1st rounder to come back up???

Mour...How's Green or Peterson AND Fairley sound???...lmao...

Peterson and Hayden pressing the edge with Wright in the slot. Then you have Reuben (who is gonna surprise in the 4-3) and Fairley providing an interior pass rush. Benard would be a 16 sack performer lol.

If we draft Peterson, I doubt highly that Wright will be back.

Can it be a surprise when most people seem to expect Rubin to do well in the 4-3?

As a side note ... reubens .... yuck. I hate saurkraut. Bleh!

Assuming we don't move anywhere - though I expect trades...the hardest pick was round 2 - I thought about Randall Cobb and Mason Foster as well.

1 Robert Quinn, DE
2 DeAndre McDaniel, FS
3 Bruce Carter, OLB
4 Ugo Chinasa, DE
5 Will Rackley, OG
6 Chris Culliver, CB
6 Niles Paul, WR

1st -- DT Nick Fairley
2nd -- DB Ras-I Dowling
3rd -- WR Tandon Doss
4th -- LB Mason Foster
5th -- QB Greg McElroy
6th -- DT Martin Parker
6th -- DE Greg Romeus
7th -- OT Chris Hairston

I don't see Peterson falling to us and if we stay at 6, then I think it maybe too soon to take Cameron Jordan, so I think our 1st pick is going to be Nick Fairley. I don't see us drafting a WR with our 1st pick. I think that it's a long shot any ways. The rest is... well just my wish list

And my final first round (with no trades, but I'll predict we see quite a few trades tonight). A couple surprises in there I think...

What I don't expect to see is Washington to trade into the top 5 for YoGabbaGabbert - I just don't see them wanting to pick top 5 then not again until 144 with the holes they have.

I'll predict Cindy trading out of their spot and a lot of movement in the mid to late first round. Personally, I'd love to see the Seahawks drop a few spots and pick up a 3rd rounder.
