We recently got a new Dell laptop. Last night, I was in the chat room for a couple hours with no problem. Well, all of a sudden, I get BSOD. Says something about memory management.
I restarted, and got it again last night. So, I gave up for the night.
Today, I was just clicking around on the internet (use Mozilla Firefox), and got it again.
Any suggestions? What kind of info would you need?

Doubt it's the issue in your case. But this happened to me on an old computer when I was a noob and had mismatched ram speeds.

Could be a driver, but unlikely.
A memory issue would be a good thing to rule out. Run the diagnostic (full scan) - be prepared, it can take a loooooooooong time - I have 8GB and it took about 10 hours to do the whole diagnostic. I usually just run it overnight. It's something I always do with new computers even if they aren't having issues just to make sure the memory is OK.
On Windows 7, just type "memory diagnostic" into the search on the start menu. Windows Memory Diagnostic will be the first thing on the list. You will need to restart your computer (it will prompt you) and then a DOS looking system window will be displayed. You can do the quick check, but somewhere there is an option for a "full" or something like that. Run that one.

The chat room here?
Is that a Java based application? If so, have you upgraded java lately? If you have, you might want to try uninstalling the latest update. I have had java updates fubar a system in the past.

And add $1400. Nice computers, but overpriced. Apple makes some great products (I'm posting this from an iPad) but they are not the end all be all of computers. Give me a Windows 7 system over iOS any day....

I was getting the BSOD on a really nice computer recently. It was the ram ! It went bad. They replaced it and everything is fine.

The last 3 computers I have helped people out with have been RAM related issues. Microsoft Memory Diagnostics found it each time. Once armed with that information, a call to tech support goes pretty smoothly normally to get the memory replaced.

The complete error msg line, stop error info would be helpful.
Brand new box, possible you got a virus or there is defective hardware which should be replaced under warranty.
Either do a full virus scan, using MalwareBytes plus another scanner, or do the full system restore with the included disks. If you haven't loaded much on it, this may be easier.
Now if you do the system restore, run the system OFF the internet for a while and see if the error reproduces.
If you get a BSOD, After a system restore, and you haven't been online, this is proof to Dell that this is a warranty defect.

Is there a way to copy the info, or do I have to write it down? I just want to make sure it's accurate.
Just got another one. This time using Google Chrome.
Had this site open on one tab, Facebook on another, and the NFL draft tracker on a third.
Blue screen said "page fault in non page area."
I'm wondering if there's something goofy with java or adobe flash player. I think the draft tracker was using one of those.

Did you run Microsoft memory diagnostics? Do you use this computer for other tasks or primarily browsing? If it is used heavily for other tasks have you had any issues with it there?
You could try uninstalling the JRE and Flash software and re-install if you think those are the culprits.
Did it just start happening after you installed something? You might be able to use system restore if you think it is due to something new you installed to revert to a previous point in the system.

There should be a stop error 0x00 such like, BCC code, also possibly mention of a filename of any kind.
Try running in Safe Mode with Networking and see if that makes any difference.
Did you run the Virus scans as recommended? This may or may not solve your problem, but either way it will eliminate one major possible source.
Also, you need to attempt to seperate the problem from Internet access, as mentioned. Run for an extended time with NO internet access, see if the problem occurs.

Ran the memory diagnostics and got the message "your computer has a memory problem." So, looks like I'm going to have to contact Dell. Thanks for your help, guys.

Great! That's what I figured. If they send you new memory, run the diagnostic on it right away. As I said above I always run this on new computers right when I get them.
Windows 7, from my experiences, has very few blue screens that are not memory related. The only way you might run into them is if you are using some really old hardware or devices.
