Has anyone heard from Overtoad, say via a PM? I'd love his take on us going to a version of the WCO.

Wonder where the dude is...
....anyone else missing?

I have not seen 337 on here in a long time and also have not seen CoachB in a good bit either.

Haven't seen anything from Eotab, Diam, or Versatile Dawg in a long time. I think they may have migrated to a duplicate of this site ... or else the dreaded "BrownsChat". I liked reading them, though they could be thorny to deal with sometimes. Also wish Logdog was around for the Indians' resurgence - he had good insights.

I hope 337 is doing well.

This board is but a shadow of what it once was.

I PMed toad last October I think it was and received no reply... I know vers and diam are on another board, I lurk there once in awhile just to read... and eotab got the boot here, I think.

People come, people go. It's just the way of the internet. If the overall attitude and feeling of this board changed to them, they might not be as inclined to maintain the connection. I know I think this board has changed a lot over the last couple years as far as attitude, and there is definitely a larger contingent of negative vibes in posts than there used to be, understandably so, but not everyone wants to deal with that.

I have moved on from boards I was very active on because it, or me, just changed and it wasn't the same feeling when visiting, so I moved on overtime until I was just no longer visiting at all.

Add in the life changes and sometimes people come to the realization that there are more important things in their life and they just move on.

Seriously, what was more nasty than when Diam, Vers, Tab, and Toad got going on each other and others?

Even the political stuff used to be nastier. This board is far calmer than it has ever been.

Diam is fine, Tab is fine, he's just pissed at both boards he's been a regular on, Vers if fine, he's stirring up all kinds of stuff on the Brown's board, fighting with pretty much everyone over there. Don't have a clue about Toad, he and I were never pals.

I think the board is more even-keeled than it used to be, and less interesting because of that. Maybe some of us have mellowed with age, or else we just got tired of arguing about the same things with the same people.

I agree and think it's probably a bit of both of those things. But, it's also that some of the famous "debaters" have moved on. With such a small user base -- 1432 users -- you are bound to have slow times. Not to mention a lot of people don't post during the off season.

Maybe we need a recruiting office.

yea....definitely lost a lot of "well-respected," posters around here.

I think Vers was banned for life, or otherwise had some issues with the boards mods, not sure. But some kind of exile is certain. I could never deal with his claims of "inside info." After the CoachB thing, I was even more skeptical of vers. Though, even w/o that, he was a pretty knowledgeable guy.

I don't know what happened to EO on here, I know he still posted his weekly what I saw threads over on Brownschat (such a dumb name, and filled with a lot of dumb posters, a trolling paradise for those types of clowns.)

I think Diam is a resident over on the Denver Bronco's chat telling folks about how great Brady Quinn will be when he finally gets his shot. They don't believe him--or what he see's with his own two eyes. After the Quinn fiasco he dipped---and with all the cheer-leading he did, I can't blame him.

Though maybe he still comes around under another screen name. If there was a reason to change your name, I think his borderline Quinn obsession was a pretty good reason.

I don't see Pit here anymore, and he was a usual fixture in the TG political threads.

CoachB ain't around anymore, but we all know why that is.

There is a host of others I don't see either, most notably, Iambrown, dawgyllama, Jaybird (though he comes around on occasion), 337, ndutyme, USNavydawg, fletch, and their is some other guy, who changed his name once I think---I can't remember what it was initially, but he seems like he is gone too.

Then there are all the posters who we all wish were gone, shep, daman, ammo, pdr, jules, chelle, lamp, DC, django, Tyler and probably a lot more than I can think of......

I was being ironical about Diam's insistence that BQ would be great.

The rest is pretty true, especially the part about posters that we wish would go away; that part is super-true. We have all of them on ignore.....

I have no one on ignore,...that is rude.

But the dude I miss is the one that would start a thread on virtually anything, like ant droppings or something, and then declare "Discuss."

He was hilarious.

Discuss,....

It's probably my fault. At least, according to posts vers made to me, and pm's I got from him - I ran off the "good" posters.

I have to admit, I miss Jaft/Fletch a little bit. His psychotic ramblings and the multiple profane, threatening PMs he would send if you disagreed with him in a thread were entertaining.

So what you're saying is that he now goes under the name Tyler Derden?

He made another account and cursed me out in dawgtalkers chat room.

It was kind of funny.

Diam is fine, I try to pm him once in awhile.

He went off on me in a thread telling me I was a rapist b/c I recounted some times when I hooked up with chicks at parties. He seemed like a very bitter person--and it seemed like he was always looking to twist people's ideas to create arguments out of nothing.....

Kind of like a troll, but less interested in attention, and more into instigation.

Didn't eotab leave the board because some posters were starting their own versions of his "what i saw" threads and he took offense to that.

Deepthreat, weren't and you and eotab in an argument one time (err... "debate" haha) and I think he dropped the F-Bomb your way and that was the last of him? About two years ago IIRC? I'm almost positive that's what happened, & I remember cuz I was reading along with the thread and having a good chuckle before a bunch of posts got deleted, including when he FU'ed ya.

I really don''t like to criticize him cuz he's no longer here to defend himself (awwww, to hell with it - I will anyway.... lol) , but Eotab was quite thin-skinned at times. He wouldn't 'preciate no young'n challenging his football knowledge and such.

I like Eo....and as you said, he isn't here so I don't see the point in talking about them.

JMO

Someone mentioned Jaft as psyco....I never felt that way.

Now Conndawg....he carried on some interesting conversations with himself....though he did know his Christmas movies....but he and many of the others I might mention were far enough back it was really a different board....there have been a couple of morphs since then.

There are only a few dozen or so who remember Conn and some of the other I might mention.

I was struggling to remember what exactly iwhat happened, but now that you say it, yes, that is exactly how it went. I knew that it involved me, but wasn't sure how exactly. Kind of amusing, really.

And I actually like Eo; he knows his stuff pretty well.

Oh, I well remember conn. Did a road trip with him to Nursedawg's for a DawgStock (he drove to my place in Akron from CT, picked me up and I rode back to CT from Dayton with him - then he paid for an airline ticket for me back to OH). MAN! That dude was one strange man. Eccentric, crazy but likable, despite his issues.

Like you, Peen, most of my references would go back so far that most wouldn't recognize the names.

I cant imagine what it would take for me to leave this board. I once called peen an idiot and he said I owe him an apology and I never did.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize.
Peen I am sorry you are an idiot

Just kidding. I am sorry for calling you an idiot. It was not nice and you probably have forgotten about it. Just want to clear that up.

I also miss Diam and Eo they know their stuff, except for Diam and that Quinn thing. Then there is getrowdy, I think he is here under another name cant say I miss him much.
