Why do so many worry about what we shoulda, coulda done. It's yesterdays news. I'm guessing it's a way to thump chests or something
Box "o" rocks may be another "ham sandwich"
I don't care about woulda shuold IF we correct the mistakes and not create holes we are constantly refilling. WE have a young QB who has some promise so we shove a DT off the team(Rogers who was quickly signed by NO) so we have to use our #1 and a #3 to move up and get another DT. had we stayed put we might have filled two other holes with excellence using the #3 on Mathews and the #1 on Carimi. We draft a FB when we have an excellent blocking FB in Vickers(said to be coveted by the ravens) when we have glaring holes elsewhere.
I want this team to help young Colt mcCoy with excellent blocking. carimi may have sealed an excellent Oline. had we not over reacted with Rogers we may have helped him immeasurably. last year we had the delusions the front office trumped about Delhomme and needing no wr help.
Listen. I think heckert was the best hire since our return based on one draft. Ok the bar was set extremely low yet I hate seeing him having to patch new holes. I am glad we will resign Wright, he had some excellent runs before he lost all confidence following the first ravens debacle. This team needs to quit giving away talent( Vickers). They need to designate who the players are and resign our own first.
I have been a long time fan and I am overjoyed that whenever a rant I have is incorrect, my team is the winner. ham sandwich was a hero sandwich. yet we are deluding ourselves by not getting Hillis help, penciling in Pashos, counting on DQ, or goCong as a MLB. Even hardesty appears to be a longshot. yet there is reason for optimism in that Heckert is a very bright judge of talent. I just still hate when this team creates holes and has to refill them. I would have loved Mathews at #3 for the pick we used for taylor, kept Rogers and got carimi.

to be fair, without the free agency period, we have no idea what the real FO plans are and they cannot speak to them.
in the draft, I want our FO taking who they believe are the best talents. if they believe that Phil Taylor was the best talent, then go get him. as long as they 'hit' on their picks, it will work out in the end.

All I know is that if you're assigning a derogatory nickname to a player, then they've got an above average shot at being a star for us; and if you're pimping them, they are on their way to being the 3rd stringer in Denver
Browns is the Browns
... there goes Joe Thomas, the best there ever was in this game.

Haven't heard or found anything as to why. Just occurred to me, is this a position Heckert or the Walrus might have had somebody in mind to bring in? Wasn't THE Jim Brown doing some of this? Like I said, I think our guy had to have messed up or they are cleaning house for the next tenant. Curiouser and curiouser.
