So now he can say with "certitude" that the pictures are his?

If Congressman Lee resigned over a shirtless picture, how badly does Weiner get roasted over this stupidity?

He needs to resign. Not just because of the pictures but for the lies and attempted cover-up. He originally claimed his accounts were hacked. followers were trying to blame Breitbart and people behind the Acorn takedown. they have egg on their face now.

he was trying to apologize and was saying that he wasn't going to resign. He admitted to more pictures as well including a shirtless one ala Lee.

Edit: if I was at home, I'd find a link of the presser.

Do these guys never learn? All Weiner had to do was read the sports pages lately to see that lying and cover up leads to no good. I suspect that the leadership of the Democratic Party will push him to quit. The last thing they need is an idiot like Weiner, representing all that is arrogant about American politicians, available to the other side during an election year. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I'm just observing that the Dems want to retake the house in 2012. This Weiner scandal is not going to help them in that endeavor. The leadership of the party might try to give this guy a little shove out the door.

Here's the link to the presser. Link

Beats the pants off of me, but I really don't think there was any law broken. The bigger scandal is what he did. Sent lewd pictures of himself to strange women behind his wife's back and then tried to lie and cover it up.

The bigger issue is that you had a Republican, from the same state mind you, do a similar thing. The difference is that Lee resigned the same day that the "mistake" came to light. Weiner will have to be dragged out of office thinking that it was only a mistake and that he should be forgiven with no consequence.

I'm not sure that any law was broken except that he knew that the attacks by certain media outlet against Breitbart were false and said nothing. Those media outlets could be sued by Breitbart for defamation and slander. He could be, by not setting the record straight, of being complicit in the defamation and slander. He knew that the likes of the Huffington Post and the DailyKos were trying to defame Breitbart and did nothing.

It's going to be fun if Breitbart lawyers up and sues the DailyKos, the Huffington Post, et al, for clear case of defamation.

HuffPo has what appears to be more pictures and Breitbert (sp?) has some x-rated ones allegedly. I woke up this morning to the View on TV and of course they were defending him--so did John Stewart last week.

In all honesty, jokes aside--politics aside--I feel bad for his wife.

Why do these fools lie and carry on like they are totally innocent and appalled that people are making such crazy accusations.

When they should rise up and and be honest, they end up just limping away in shame.

See, this is the part I just don't get. The pictures I saw (and I'm sure I didn't see them all) weren't the worst thing I've seen on the net by a long shot.

But him trying to throw one past us,, that just ticks me off..

He should resign,, not because of the act, but because he lied about it.

Actually, he should resign. Rep. Chris Lee (R, NY-26) resigned because of something less than what Weiner had done. Lee had posted a shirtless photo of him on the dating side of Craig's List. Like Weiner, he was married. That's it.

The honorable thing to do would have been for Weiner to resign. Of course, being the dishonorable louse that he is, he has no intention of resigning. He'll go down in flames fighting the whole way before he'll ever tender a resignation.

With Pelosi calling for an investigation today, it's only a matter of time, I'd say days before he sulks and takes his camera home. Of course his wife will probably divorce him now, and he'd deserve it. Generally speaking, I'd say it sucks to be a weiner most any day but a lying weiner is a limp wiener and the dems don't need this one hanging over their heads going into 2012.

Since he never met any of them, this has to lead to "you must be a weiner if" jokes.

As in, you must be a weiner if you're having a relationship with 6 different women and still not getting any.

He missed a golden opportunity to do the right thing as well and even gained political points for it. His star power was rising because he was out there blasting the Republicans hard on the issues. If he just admitted to his action, which were extremely mild to begin with, he could have easily GAINED political points and even use that against republicans, but instead he choose to deny, deny, deny and blame "hackers" for it which he made it worse by making it look like someone was out to get him.

Well Chris Lee had the balls to actually resign quickly after he was exposed.

Who would of thought a thread about Weiner would turn into a pun thread. I still wonder when Boehner will rise up and condemn the actions of Weiner.

on a side note, I'm surprised that a few certain posters haven't came here to defend Weiner yet.

Agreed, I am also amazed that a certain few posters haven't bringing Obama into this and called for Obamas impeachment

They paraded that photo across the Daily Show nearly everyday this past week.

And I got to wondering....why would dude take the photo int eh first place---I don't get it. Is there something I am missing, is taking snapshots of one's junk useful in some way that I am unaware of?

Definitely having trouble understanding why someone would do this.

Easiest way to find out is to go find a flasher and ask him what he gets out of it.
