In all seriousness, how is it that one singular team has SO many people get into legal trouble?
Is this a nature versus nurture argument? Being around each other just makes them all go willy nilly and have to break the law?
I just don't get it...

Between the Bengals with their assorted legal issues, and the Steelers with so many loud mouthed morons, the Ravens are actually looking like well behaved, law abiding gentlemen. Man, who would have ever thought we'd see that day?

Despicable! That many? Is this like part of the screening to get your stripes, you gotta have or are actively pursuing a rap sheet? Had no doubt it wasn't a good number in any event, but had NO idea it was that high. Sheesh.

What is the number up to now?? How many Bungles have been arrested in the past decade? Anyone keeping score???
Here's one article keeping score, but it is 4 years old: http://larrybrownsports.com/football/ranking-the-cincinnati-bengals-arrests/612
The law of averages says that if you have 50-60 men, many between the ages of 21 and 26 in one place that you are going to have SOME issues.. but I'm pretty sure the Bengals are well ahead of average.. at least they are above average at something.

First of all, this is a terrible title to a thread !
secondly, it's not all great news that Adam Jones is pleading something to something again because if the player gets suspended then the Browns won't get to take advantage of his bad play.
Can Deshaun Watson play better for the Browns, than Baker Mayfield would have? ... Now the Games count.

I have to post here because what I'm saying will turn into smack. The Bengals are really going to disintegrate this year. The whole Mike "Money Bags" Brown versus Carson Palmer thing is going to be epic. Apparently there is some problem with Ochocinco or whatever he calls himself, the player formerly known as Chad Johnson.
You know a team is in trouble when the news is smeared with front office issues instead of talking about real football. The beautiful part is about half the fans think Brown is a good owner, they're grateful for what he's done for the team.
I'm going to watch them closely. I predict a train wreck followed by yet another profitable year for Mr. Brown.

I love how the Bengals are pulling the "Carson Palmer needs to honor his contract" gimmick... Because they've obviously NEVER cut someone before their contract was up...

I agree with them, he should honor his contract... the reality is that the Bengals should trade him for what they can get, that's what is in the best interest of the team..

Right...but this wasn't their idea. I agree that Carson should honor his contract, and I can see the point in keeping him around out of spite. However, it's a stupid move for the team. But...that's okay...it's the Bungles.

Mike Brown just figures that since he doesn't have a scouting department that they would screw up whatever draft pick they get anyway. Might as well pretend to stick to some weird concept of principles

What a load. I know about 5 or 6 bungle fans, and not one of them thinks Brown is a good owner. That would mean every one of the other 5 or 6 fans do think he's a good owner.

well, the other 5 or 6 fans are part of Mike Browns extended family. so they probably lie in public and think he's a bad owner in private.

They're a weird bunch. They'll gripe and moan about Brown's bizarre behavior, then all of a sudden they're dead sure that he's taking them to the Promised Land at last. I've heard from more than one that they think Brown is absolutely right for putting Palmer in his place. They don't understand why I wonder if this will actually help them win one more game than last year.
Brown doesn't care all that much about winning. I sincerely doubt he is the product of his father's loins.

I understand why he won't trade Palmer just because he demanded it. That would open the flood gates, then they would have to trade everybody that wants out and they would have 7 players in camp.

Yeah, I always figured the Bengals locker room looks a little like this these days.
That kind of brightens my day.

I do kind of think it is a bit hypocritical that a guy(Mike Brown) has the gall to criticize a player for not honoring his contract when NO NFL owners honor the contracts they sign with players, because they relelease them when it is good for them.
If Carson wants to retire, he has every right to do so, if Cincy wants to let him sit at home, they have that right too. Cincy has to be the most messed up franchise since the early eighties Ted Stepien era Cavs franchise.

The players know that is the deal going in which is why they try to negotiate big signing bonuses and smaller salaries. If they want, they have the option to sign for less money but have it be guaranteed. I'm sure the average team would be happy to make that accomodation and instead of signing a 5-year, $30 million deal where the guy might not see the last year or two, they could sign a 5-year $18 million deal where it's all guaranteed.

With the amount of arrests in the Bengals organization you would think they were running a political party...

7 in camp might involve missed flights, a trainer, and the rest are on ankle bracelets and can't leave training camp for parole violations. Does Mike Brown tell himself he demands to be traded?

Higher number liked him than I thought. Must have polled his whole family over Christmas or something. How could Carson Palmer leave all this rich tradition behind? Just asking.
