For all Non-Browns postings: Undrafted Rookie Contracts, Drafted Rookie Signings, Restricted/Unrestricted Free Agency handshake deals, Trades, or Cuts.

Keep it simple and make sure you quote the author when commenting. There will be a lot of random announcements so it's best to make sure you reference what you're commenting on.

I can still picture his knee being shredded against OSU in the National Championship game.

Willis McGahee informed of his release

We have our first post-lockout transaction to pass along.

Okay, it won’t officially be a transaction until Thursday. But we’re going to hear a lot of reports of agreements, deals, and other planned player moves all week long before anything is official.

The first such report is no surprise: ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Willis McGahee has been informed he will be released by the Ravens. We included McGahee on our list of players likely to get cut because he has a $6 million salary and seemed unwilling to take a pay cut.

McGahee will make less money wherever he signs, but he becomes a solid option for teams looking for a backup running back.

We're always supposed to refer to a source regardless what we are commenting on.

Great idea!

Is McGahee a guy that would fit into our system? how about character? I remember some issues when he was drafted by Buffalo.... Or maybe it's when he was traded to Baltimore.. not sure which. what's the thought on him..

Isn't he about the same age as KW2?

McGahee will turn 30 during the season. And he's a running back with a injury filled past. Winslow just turned 28 and is a tight end with an injury filled past.

I think he at least adds to the pot of FA RB's. If for some reason Hardesty is not ready, I think McGahee would be a welcome addition, but I would like to see us sign a David Megget (Sprolls) type, to compliment our heavy equipment

I, for one, would love to have Reggie Bush. I do think, however, the money will be too much.

Meh, he probably would want more then a 3rd down type of back is worth I don't know for sure. Also he strikes me as a guy who might complain if he was not getting enough balls his way. Jmo.

I doubt that we'll pursue a high end RB. I would suspect that we'll look for a speedy 3nd down type guy, either in the lower ends of free agency, or in UDFA.

I suspect that the vast majority of our spending in free agency will be on the defensive side of the ball.

I wouldn't mind a young bull at RT who might challenge the stable bull at this point.

Bush is a high-end back because he is high profile. What he does on the field fits what we need perfectly. He can catch the ball out of the backfield, he can block, and he can return punts/kickoffs. We would also be able to split him out and have him catch a few passes at wide receiver.

I agree with those who say he might be too expensive. But if his name was something other than Reggie Bush he would be a perfect fit.

Thanks for the news 79;

That doesn't seem to be such a high price tag for a player of his caliber.
Yes he is long in the tooth and has been injury prone, but it seems like they could have maybe worked with him a bit on renegotiating a new deal

Yeah, I agree. He was a pretty key part of their offense for a while, too.

Not saying I want him here, especially if we can keep Moore. Moore and Watson are a good pair of TEs for us.

But Heap will catch on somewhere.

Wow, that's a biggy. Heap will get scooped up and go somewhere.

There is no level of sucking we haven't seen; in fact, I'm pretty sure we hold the patents on a few levels of sucking NOBODY had seen until the past few years.

No doubt he will. Don't forget we also drafted Jordan Cameron.

I'm in anticipation of whom our Browns might release?

We did cut a lot of guys before the lockout. Only for sure one I can think of would be Delhomme.

I don't see the Browns cutting anyone anytime soon.

They are so far under the cap that they don't have to cut veterans at this point. They have to reach 99% of the cash floor this year, so spending a modest roster bonus here or there for a veteran who might not make the team isn't a huge deal.

Wow,, Ozzies cleaning house.. I wonder if he's cleaning up the cap room to go after some big names?

I understand we are in a fairly good position cap wise if you do not take into account resigning JT, Hillis and Rubin, but I was mainly thinking of one named QB

There have been rumors of Ozzie wanting Nnamdi for a while now. Looks like he's making the room for a run.

I think we still could sign Gregg at the right price. Jauron loves his big D-tackles.

Aren't the Ravens over the cap before they sign rookies?

I would bet that they can't hit the "cash floor" without removing some of their uglier contracts, let alone sign their rookies.

This is a guess on my part .... because, frankly, none of us really know how this whole cash floor/spend 99% of the cap thing is going to work.

They are clearing space for a receiver. Gotta be it. As long as they lose Yanda I will be happy. He would look pretty good as a Brownie.

They've been one of the teams that has rumored to be interested in Asomugha this whole off-season. Not only that, but they are already paying Boldin big money as their #1 wide receiver. They also drafted Tandon Doss and Torrey Smith.

Derrick Mason, Todd Heap, Willis McGahee, and Kelly Gregg are pretty big name cuts...and things haven't even started yet.

"First down inside the 10. A score here will put us in the Super Bowl. Cooper is far to the left as Njoku settles into the slot. Moore is flanked out wide to the right. Chubb and Ford are split in the backfield as Watson takes the snap ... Here we go."

They might be looking to resign some of these players at a better price.
